Just to get the thread going:

4th of January 2018 - 10th of January 2018 - From Level 50, Mainlands
FAQ: The Lynx Hideout

One crop: Nettle 5h, will stay in game after event
One drop: Fish Biscuit (drop from everything mainland fields)
Feed: 250 Nettle +19 drop (will stay in the game after event, but change requirements
Product: Paw Pops from Lynx workshop (think this too will stay after event)

New stuff: Lynx stable + Yellow & Orange Upgrade (can be bought after the event for CC/BB)
Lynx Workshop (can be made after event) + Yellow and Orange upgrade (can not be made after the event)
CR giving: 22000 EP, 22000 TEP, 1 x Crate O' Farm Supplies II

Need:
Crop donations: 500+750+900+1600= 3750 Nettle
Lynx donations: 15 => 15 feed => 3750 Nettle +285 drops
Paw Pops Donations : 12 => 12 Lynx+12 Feed => 6000 Nettle +456 drop

Totals:
Crop requirement: 13 500
Drops requirement: 741

Im in on this one for simple reason of recieving new stable without the lottery of mystery stables

Ive noticed something about crop will say when event starts incase it doesnt work

Forgive me if Im wrong Moraine but does crop requirements come to 13,500

 

All three, crop, stable and workshop will stay in the game, but the workshop upgrades won't. And besides... cc saved is cc earned. I'm chronicle broke, hippo hoarding isn't free you know..

Personally I think it looks like a nice and easy event. Drop is the normal amount, can be skipped if you bash out on the PF. Crop numbers looked familiar too. What I am wondering if I should just eat enough cac for half a year and use a ppp... Might be cheaper than cac per event

Anyway, as always I'm in

 

Moraine, looks good. I got a different number for crops though. 13,500

 

I'm in too. During the event, I will only mill enough lynx feed for event requirements. As they drop drastically after the event, I will grow the nettles beyond the requirements so I am ready to mill lynx feed once event is over.

13,500 crops won't take too long since it is a 5 hour crop

 

I am in! Ready to get back on the events - New animal, New feed and CR crate is very useful. Always can use farm supplies!

Don't forget the buff - The Valentine pot. Speeds up animal production by 10%

I will make just 3750 event plant, because if I will use 27 power-feed, I will not need the rest of the event plant and also no drop needed !

Busy, busy, busy with FSQs! Finished a couple already and working on two more. However, for a Lynx stable I'll put the FSQs on hold!

Just read through the FAQ - looks like the only way to get the orange upgrade for the paw-pop factory is to buy it in the giant basket. But before you got spending your money on that thing - the base factory only takes 5 hours to produce a paw-pop (without water). And one yellow upgrade for it can be won in the event. So I am thinking that the orange upgrade just isn't that necessary to have. At least not for the factory. I'll definitely be wanting orange upgrades for the lynx pens.

 

I really struggle to remember to place upgrades. Which stables have I got what for. So I'm not fussed about the workshop upgrades either. And I'll probably go the pf route too. I have some FSQ to do, just as Sir Pippen

I'm so eager to get going, can hardly wait Sadly I'll start a bit later due to RL tomorrow. Still Nettles eh , how fun with a new crop in the game ! Now I need a gloomy Eeyore out in the nettle fields!

Not sure if you were kidding Moraine but, just in case, I am sure there is (or used to be!) a limit to the amount of CAC you could eat at one time ... maybe someone else can remember! Still, it might make you a little nauseous to eat all that CAC at once!

and it sounds like a plan. I will grow as much of the event crop as possible and use only that necessary for the event. I will use PF - though I think it is 37 PF needed to finish the event. I haven't got much PF but it saves quite a bit of milling time and means I can leave my Truffle farms going to help me finish another FSQ!

Is it necessary to use PF to finish this event? Or does it just make it quicker? I have a couple diff scenarios that seem good now (while they are still in my head) 37 PF's won't drain me but it is a breeding event next & we all know how crazy it can get with the PF!!

 

Pf is not needed at all, it just cuts down the crop & drop requirement

 

Overuse and abuse of PF is a symptom of FOCD, of which there is no known cure.
8 full harvests using CAC with the 3 fields allotted will get you all the crop donations you need.

EDIT: 5.5 harvests if you are using PF instead of Lynx feed.

I am doing this event. I like the idea of Event Crop staying in our barn. It been few years since an event crops stays in this game.

Just love the idea that we can buy lynx stall after this event too. As we can make more Candy Factories too. It is a good thing i got loads of wood in reserve. As i am not too hasty to upgrade menagerie or Manufactory unless it is very useful to my style of farming that helps my farm. As it takes a fair while to get good stock of wood in our barns anyway.

We will be given 4 x Lynx Stalls plus 2 x Candy Factory. I am not all that worried about Yellow or Orange upgrades, as i can use the buffs to reduces Stables/workshops times. Plus have Cloud Rows that will help too.

I think i will grow as much Nettles as i can during the whole event. As going to need Nettles to make Lynx Feeds too
