The Lynx Hideout - Strategy Thread

Now that's something you never thought you'd say Sanddollar!

 

No Lion or snail for me, either! Farmlily3 has a snail, but the elusive Lion is still hiding in the bushes!!

This is a great - no stress! - Event! Got the lynx and Candy Factories on both farms, and growing Nettles only on partial fields...also using geckofeet666's excellent suggestion to use PF on the Lynx!

All in all, imho, this one is pure F-U-N!!! Thanks BP!!!

PS. The sun is out now on this Winter day, the pure white snow a crunchy, powdery, confection - a gloriously gorgeous day!!
Except that it is below zero(I heard -15), gusty wind, and bitterly cold.
But it is warm and snug here inside,Lol!...and in the near distance...I hear hot chooocolate caaalllinggg! Should I answer the call???

I agree that this event is just what the doctor ordered. I need just four more Paw Pops, nearly have all the Lynxes to feed these last Candy Factories and will have enough Nettles by tomorrow evening. Then just alternating Nettles and Sweet Woodruff till I have enough to finish yet another FSQ (only another 9,000 Sweet Woodruff needed!). And I can't even count how many FSQs I have left!

Truffle farms are coming along nicely - a couple of days should see enough to finish THAT particular FSQ and then decide which of many I need to work on next.

If I bring my own cup and a few truffles (of the chocolate variety, I hasten to add), can I join you in a nice hot chocolate break, Lily?

 

LOL!! Most definitely, illy!! You will be very warmly welcome, with or without the goodies - your company is a treat on its own.

I agree about the PF, Lily - I started with about 330 PF and when I finish I will still have 300 PF. I have been milling it at the same time but you know how long that takes! I probably picked up a bit here and there on the Farm-Wheel (and used a bit on other critters when I had the +200% harvest bonus!) but overall I haven't used too much ... I will decide whether that is true when we see the FAQs for the breeding event next week lol!

I'm moving along on the event and I also used PF to further my stalls along. Not finished yet but well ahead of the game except I forgot and only put out one candy factory instead of both of them so I'm behind on the pawpops.

I was lucky to get both a lion and a snail! I also got a few orange elephants and since I missed that breeding event that's a plus for me.

 

Glad I could bring good news to all who was unaware as I was about the Giraffe and pheasant stalls!

Thanks, dumbunny - I didn't know about the giraffe and pheasant being available for FC's, either! (Of course, I don't have enough coins for either - but it's good to know!! Lol!)

 

Hi All and a very happy new year!!

I am in! Or I was...
Got the 200% harvest from a party ticket, so getting 12 lynx from 4 pens and 6 paw pops from 2 workshops. With CAC running nettles are 8 on a small field

This is a HUGE increase, so I am actually finished since midday today. Without the bonus, it would have taken much longer.
Will give PF to Lynx and paw pop workshop as long as 200% bonus is still running and then take them in. After event the requirements for lynx feed are much smaller (12.5% of the nettles after event in comparison to within the event .. 20 instead of 250).

Congrats clonahmon, that was a great spin to get! I am finished and have CR up and running..it is too cute! I did use PF on all the pens and am now just growing nettle and getting fish drops to make some lynx food to have on hand. Good Luck everyone I think this is a fun event!

 

congrats on the awsome spin I just got this 200% too but its giving me 9 per 1x1 field how long does it last? I cant seem to find anything about any of these spins on the farm wheel in the forum so anyway I should be done in no time woohoo

 

Marly, look in your buff tab on the left, then hit the arrow and scroll to the end, your 200% buff is in there somewhere. Congrats!

All done here... with soooo much time left I almost feel like I cheated . Almost, lol.
Milled some lynx feed to use up all of my nasty fish biscuits (LOL), and will continue to grow a few more nettles on peripheral plots to build up stock and reap a little extra EP while I go back to normal, productive farming. Hope everyone else is getting thru the event just as easily.

 

Wooo Hooo! Just got the 100% bonus on the wheel!!......right after I finished harvesting!! Boo Hoo!

No.. sorry Marly, maybe there is a Farm wheel prize FAQ for it? I have not checked

Every time I've won it, it's been for a different amount of time... usually 12 or 24 hrs.

 

Marly, You should be able to see it if you run your mouse over the appropriate icon in the buff tab.

What is consider to be to a good party wheel prize :
1) always to check your party spin every 8hr to see prize offer by system
2)if you get prize related to harvest bonus, remember to spin it before you harvest your field!
3) you got the desire prize like 24 hr +100% harvest buff

And I got it
which mean I get double lynx & candy every harvest . event will be finished quicker

Also, spend lessen time to stock more nettle on hand

 

I finished the event this morning and only used a few PF's Now I am wondering if I should mill more lynx feed or be patient and wait until after the event? 250 is alot when it's going to be 20 (?) after the event?? Patience, young grasshopper!! I sadly did not get a Giraffe from my baha pens (AGAIN) so I think I will have to go purchase the 2nd giraffe that is available. That puts me with about 850-900 FC left I like to keep it 1,000 or more. Congrats to all and Good Luck to those still working on it!! Plenty of time
