I like the look of this one. On first sight, it does look like a lot of PF needed but there is a chance of getting extra badges from another category with each breeding. Lets hope those chances are plentiful!

Here are the requirements:

Bird Badges: 50
Mammal Badges: 75
Arthropod Badges: 50
Reptile Badges: 25
Fish Badges: 25
Amphibian Badges: 25

but

310,000 barn value of fish and breeding fish
370,000 barn value of amphibians and breeding amphibians
430,000 barn value of reptiles and breeding reptiles
690,000 barn value of mammals and breeding mammals
170,000 barn value of birds and breeding birds
230,000 barn value of arthropods and breeding arthropods

That's a lot of stock. There's a good mix of attractive prizes though - so I'm IN!

But I will be waiting for a BB weekend! Working two evening shifts so even if we get an unexpected quick BB, I won't be able to take advantage. I have stocked up my Motels with a bit of everything, being careful not to put the maximum required in so I can hope for a few (or a lot!) of freebie badges!

I have what I need in my barn to do this BUT I think the prizes are good (IMHO) I too will wait for a baby boom and then hope for the best! Good Luck everyone, remember this IS listed as HARD, that is because it is Sooo hard to turn all those barn animals in!

Thanks littletinybit for the extra number crunching for those wanting just the CR. I didn't even look at the CR - my eyes are pulled towards FCs, GBs and PF - not necessarily in that order!

 

Question for you Illy... what do you mean by this?

I've been in La La Land for a while now with this game, just kind of going with the flow and not thinking too hard. This sounds like a strategy that I missed. Could you help me understand please?

 

There are 132 breeding slots and I have filled them with a mixture of the required beasties in a rough ratio appropriate to the number required: so 50 lots of Mammals, 26 lots of Birds and Arthropods, 10 each of Reptiles, Fish and Amphibians.

Last time we had an event like this, I made the mistake of putting all the required of one category in, only to realise I might have been able to get some free Badges and probably wasted some precious PF.

Hope this is clear - as I write it, I'm not sure.

Since we no longer have to put out the motels and can just load the one hotel that is in the upper right hand corner of your screen, we can load up to 132 (?) times. And for the badges there is a possibility of getting an extra badge from them. This means we get some free ones but it is random so you are never sure which kind you will get. I hope this helps you!! I am going for this one Math class for me today And we actually get more PF than in other events.....YAY!!

Edit: I was typing this response when illy replied. Can't seem to type fast enough It's hilarious with my grown kids bc they will send 3 or 4 msgs while I'm still working on the first response

 

I must admit that I never really do the proper "maths"! The numbers for the critters required look big but I just click donate/deliver or whatever the term used and see what I have the most of in each deliverable section and, if I have lots of one and it won't leave me below my normal threshold (1,000 for animals) I donate that one. If it takes me below 1,000, I do a mix up of all the animals I have the most of.

Each of these events is therefore a surprise for me but I am confident (well sort of) that I have enough of each of the required beasties to finish! Everything crossed!


Julie: In another life I was a WP Op/Audio Typist/Secretary ... sometimes all three ... so I do tend to type pretty fast even though I am a tad rusty and have to correct myself all the time!

And they only use two thumbs!

 

so, assuming that you get no skips the total amount of PF is 500 but with a lot of luck you might make it with 498 just kidding! 496.....

 

Thanks Illy for useful info for this Breeding Event. As it did say it going to be a Hard Breeding Event. As it might cost you almost 500 PF to complete this event. Mind you can get back 105 Power Feeds, which helps

Hey EP lovers You gonna love to gain lots of EP, if you have the Two CR from previous events.

• Wild About Animals (CR) - 500% EP for 5 Hours [Cool Down every 16 Hours]
• Peak Bragging (CR) - 1000% EP for 5 Hours [Cool Down every 36 Hours]

These Two CR can be combined with Healthy Treat{Buff} [Gold Slot], which gives 1000% EP, This Combination can give you 2500% EP on your Breeding Pens. I am planning to initiate the Strategy Twice during Baby Boom Weekend at the Start and Near the end of BB

I am now working on Breeding Plan not to go over required Breeding Badges, as i am gonna guess a ratio of 1 in 10 Breeding will give us an Breeding Badges that help keep down our PF consumption

 

I am out. I don't have enough PF and my stock of animals is not high enough either.
So for me, the next week will be easy peasy farming as much or as little as I have time or mojo.

When Illy posted the numbers earlier today, I had a rare moment that can only be described as a Delusion of Grandeur.
You see, I thought to my self how nice it would be to work out the needed Breeded animals in each step. You know, how many of what is the best solution sort of thing.


So I arm myself with The numbers supplied and head off to the barn to get the values needed for the figuring. Alas such a sweet plan gone awry. I kept falling asleep searching for proper animals.


Once again I'm reminded why I don't do figures or crunch numbers!

As most of you know, BBD is my favorite mini event!!!! Thanks to our hardworking or shall I say our hard-searching fellow farmers (namely 12ss12 & esca) I feel fairly prepared to take on this event. I'm pretty sure there will also be a pf sale. At least I'm hoping...b/c I am dangerously low on pf.

May the skips be with you all participating in this event!

 

I think I'm in. I have enough PF and also since I'm a bit of a breeding addict lots of animals already in the barn. I've been raising frogs and bees the last 3 days since I finished the lynx event so I'm well stocked on everything.

My one downside for the event but not for my real life is I have contractors showing up tomorrow to finally start on repairs we incurred during Hurricane Harvey. I don't know how much time energy or access I will have so it's hard to say if I will get the event done or not. The estimate is they will be done by Friday with the part they are fixing but so far nothing has gone smoothly so I can't count on that.

Good luck to all that participate and may the skips be with you. For those sitting it out may you make large bundles of CC from selling your frogs and bees.

 

The one thing about breeding events is that if you can hold out for baby boom day(s) you can usually do the event in a couple hours with the breeding buffs like pink jelly and any cloud rows you might have the reduce breeding time. I think I did that one with the camels in a single day on both farms. So as long as the contractors leave you internet access for a couple hours, you should be golden, LDCrow. Worst case scenario - where's the nearest Starbucks?

 

Just to add my 9 cents worth,( I am not yet up to 10 cents status) there has been a Baby Boom about two days in to these kind of events, 100% of the time, so it is not too much of a risk to wait.....
(Please don't prove me wrong, game developers !!)

I'm not going to load my breeding shed until I see the pf and BBD announcement. Plus I'm so short of pf....I'll need to buy some to fill my breeding shed up!
