New Baby reindeer to my herd

I have had vet back out to Frodo as I thought he tested in September for Johnnes (while Frodo was in quarantine) but it appears he hadn't tested for Johnnes, despite asking for any test to be run for possibles causes of weight loss/poor condition.
Frodo is alert, bright eyed, eating well but just bones with a covering of skin. .
Fecal results back in and zero parasites ( so I have that sorted, ) but Johnnes test results will be next week - hopefully not. But I may be spitting tacks if results positive and vet didn't test in September... No cure and he would have to be culled and could have passed on to rest of herd.... incubation 2-4 years! Grrhhh!!!

Brooke, in the past all girls have been in calf. I know Mischa and Lotte aren't as they have obviously continued to cycle BUT there is a slim chance that Twiglet, Katya, Elsa and Lexi may be BUT only a SLIM chance... ??? I will be on belly watch in March!
Gandalf has become a serious cuddles bunny as I have had to protect him from the "shark" girls circling at feeding times... A heart boy for me already

 

Awww....I'm so glad to hear Gandolf is becoming so sweet & cuddly to you. Boys seem to be the biggest teddy bears.

I hope one or more of your females is preggers.

I also hope that Frodo is negative for Johnnes. It is nice to hear that Gandolf is becoming such a cuddle bunny to you, he certainly looks a very cute and handsome young man!

 

Believing the best for you! Very hopeful that there will be happy surprises for you this year.

 

Surprises in the Spring???... will be very surprising but I am far from confident that Frodo has ever been healthy enough. He never appeared to get "rutty", the girls certainly don't respect him as being a dominant boy and I know at least two aren't in calf, so guessing none are... We will see.

In the meantime just a silly... who can guess the the reindeer with facial markings, just by their noses. It may be tricky for anyone but me BUT it would be fun finding out.

What a challenge! I will make a few guesses, but won't be surprised to miss. I also think Boris is #1 and Gandalf #2. Maybe Mischa #3, Frodo #4 and Lexi #6?

Ever have one of those moments where the brain says something isn't quite right but the eyes take a moment to spot what is wrong?

A hint, once Boris has dropped his antlers, then he has found out how to remove his head collar!

 

What a bad lad, looks as though he is getting ready to get that head collar off as soon as his antlers drop!

Don't worry folks, this is only his feeding station where I photographed him, he is loose in acres of grazing.
How he did it, not sure but guessing rear hoof. Boris has always had "personality"!
