A few things to keep in mind:

• Plant the crops, wait until they are mature - then start the timed quest.
• Make sure you don't run out of seeds to plant the next round.
• If you are willing to harvest by hand you can get several steps done in one harvest.
• Don't start a new step if you don't have enough crops to finish it immediately. For most steps there is not enough time to get a second round of crops in before the time ends. You'll loose the crops already paid in, unless you cancel in time.
• It is possible to finish the event without the crystal falls area. But for the last step you'll need to remove everything from the bahamarama field and rainforest field. Then you'll have 188*2= 376 1x1 fields with, CAC that gives a harvest of 1504 seeds. (So ok you can leave one tree or one 1x1 item/pet if you want, but only in one of the fields!)

There are two main ways to approach this event, or you can do a mix:

• Start with growing enough starter seeds for all rounds, around 2500 seeds. Then you can do the timed steps without having to worry about running out of starter seeds.
• Grow enough starter seeds for the first round. Each round you then have to make sure to leave enough seeds for next round.

I'll take the second approach, simply because I'm eager to start the quest as soon as possible. I'll add my detailed plan later.

Spoiler: Finer point for planning OCDers

If you are going to plan out in super detail how many plots you need to plant for each step, there is a subtle point to take into account: As an example, if you want to do both step 2 silver and step 2 gold in one round, that's 500 crops total. 500/4=125, but you'll need 126 plots do do both steps! Why? Step 2 silver require 125 crops, that means you'll need to harvest 32 1x1 fields with CAC to get 32*4=128 crops. The 3 extra seeds that are not needed for the silver step, can not be used for the gold step, because you'll start the gold step after you have harvested the 32 plots. Then for the gold plot you need 94 plots to get 94*4= 376 seeds, one more than required for the gold steps.

 

Thank you for starting this thread, I'm eager to. Love time quests. I noticed there may or may not be a few tasks missing, so I asked in general about that. Or maybe it's me, not reading properly again... wouldn't be the first

Have all of rainforest open too, so that adds another 154 1x1, making it the grand total of 530 1x1 plots. I think using a boost here is as close to a "must" as you can get. Fresh farmers with a low level on Bahama will struggle. But you can still go far, so don't give up! If I would struggle I'd give those task that I didn't need for the CR a miss.

My way of doing this once got enough seeds to have all 1x1s on all 3 fields then I will start timer a once crops ready and harvest by hand till only enough seeds to replant or if not enough to complete a level than harvest to barn. Then start again

I have planned out my steps.
188 fields plus 188 fields on baha and rainforest + 156 fields on crystal falls gives a total of 532 field. with CAC on 1*1 plots gives an excess of 3 seeds per field and a total harvest of 1596 after resowing.
I willl hand harvest the fields, so that I can do more than one task at a time (after each other) with one complete harvest (I know hand harvesting is a bit tedious, but this time spent is well worth it):

My plan is to first build up to 630 seeds (10 starter seeds on 2x2 with CAC and suzy's super grow yield 90 seeds. 90 seeds on 2x2 with CAC yields 630 seeds).

Then do 6 rounds on 525 1x1 plots with CAC. Each round will yield a harvest of 2100 seeds. Here is a table showing which steps to complete per round. More details in the text below.

Round 1: 105 seeds left after planting, harvest 2100, donate 1625, end round with 580 seeds

• Level 1 silver: 100 seeds
• Level 2 silver: 125 seeds
• Level 3 silver: 600 seeds
• Level 4 silver: 150 seeds
• Level 5 silver: 200 seeds
• Level 4 gold: 450 seeds

Round 2: 55 seeds left after planting, harvest 2100, donate 1550, end round with 605 seeds

• Level 5 gold: 550 seeds
• Level 6 silver: 1000 seeds

Round 3: 80 seeds left after planting, harvest 2100, donate 1550, end round with 630 seeds

• Level 7 silver: 350 seeds
• Level 5 diamond: 1200 seeds

Round 4: 105 seeds left after planting, harvest 2100, donate 1675, end round with 530 seeds

• Level 1 gold: 300 seeds
• Level 2 gold: 375 seeds
• Level 4 diamond: 1000 seeds

Round 5: 5 seeds left after planting, harvest 2100, donate 1500, end round with 605 seeds

• Level 2 diamond: 750 seeds
• Level 7 gold: 750 seeds

Round 6: 80 seeds left after planting, harvest 2100, donate 2100, end event with 80 seeds

• Level 1 diamond: 600 seeds
• Level 7 diamond: 1500 seeds

 

Yeah, I'm having a little trouble wrapping my head around this one Definitely need a strategy

 

I'm deep into two different FSQs (one for main, the other for baha) at the moment.


I think it more prudent of me to leave this one alone and continue with the FSQs.

I am all in for this event.. I see we only need 10k crops for this and no drops. That's if doing the whole quest. If doing just to get CR then yes of course it will be less then 10k event crops needed. And you only need 150/250 1x1 squares to do the time parts,You will need a CAC (NOTE: Doing 150/250 1x1's nets you the crops as needed, BUT you will short yourself event crops. Less you have some saved after planting).

PLEASE NOTE: Only Take quest before you harvest. You have a 2 hour window to do so. If you have more 1x1's to use , then the time quest be easy..also so will the event..

Sir Pippen, you might want to look at the CR before making up your mind

I love all +1 crop rows. Infact I love all pluss crop thingies there are

 

@julie1013 and @sirpippen, personally I like to try and figure out the fastest/most efficient way to do the event. But there is plenty of time and if you want to go for a more laid back approach there is no need for color coding

Laid back approach: Grow event crops until you have 2504. Clear some space on your islands for 1x1 fields and don't forget CAC. Work your way up the silver steps and finish level 7 diamond too to secure the cloud row. Finish level 4 diamond and 5 diamond to get the rest of the items. If you have time, see if you want to do level 1/2 gold/diamond for extra rewards. Remember there are no drops to worry about. In the table below you can see how many 1x1 plots you need to plant to do each of the steps.

@clonahmon My original plan was 7 rounds as well, needed several attempts to get it down to 6 if anyone figures out a better plan, please let us know

 

Just done some quick calculations. TEP= 2,037,500 and CCs just under 2mil. Im very much interested in recieving these
Plus TEP for each harvest

 

I have seen that too, but presume, the 1 mio TEP in step 4 diamond is a typo
as you are getting just 520000 in step 5 diamond for 1200 flowers to be grown in the same time

*sigh* So much brain activity, so early in the day. But ma, I don't wanna tear down my Baha trees! I'm rather fond of the jumbled mess I have there. I have all the falls open on spots and bear, so that will help. I just have to sort which trees I can do without for a while, and which I absolutely will not take an axe to. Which is most of them . Think I may end up doing this the slow way.

 

I'm sitting this event out on all my farms good luck to all those going for it

 

I'm also sad to pull up my new trees on baha. But, with a timed quest, I'm going to clear everything to get crops out of the way. At least this helps better organize/priortize the things I need the most and leave in the barn the things I'm full on.

So glad I have all of Crystal Falls open too... I'm shocked we actually get to use it.

I think when I plant Chronoflowers for multiple steps, instead of hand harvesting each batch, Thanks to everything being broken down into these fabulous charts I'll try to stagger my batches 5 or so mins apart if I know for sure I'll be able to harvest on time (with the help of a timer/alarm). But if something happens, and I miss my little harvesting window I can still manually harvest (and hate every click of it ).

It's done. I snuck up on those poor little trees with my axe and whacked away. I hardly recognize my rainforest, it's so barren. Left a few I couldn't bear to part with, like my Ylang Ylang trees, and the Pomelo I finally got in all the mystery trees I put out , but most everything else is gone. I'm not touching the trees on the Falls, tho, they're staying, period. Which leaves maybe half of that space for agriculture, but I'll make due. Good luck everyone!
