Time Travel - Strategy Thread

Of course not I was just a little worried that I made the event seem more complicated than it needs to be, and didn't want anyone to sit out the event for that reason. Any other reason to skip the event is fine

My first round of seeds are in the ground, forgot about the staggered planting lets just hope the rest of the plan works out better

 

All good Only why I suggested it was perhaps that row may have helped you further along those quests. But on the other hand, it's mostly animals and products those quests demand, so maybe not that useful.

I had forgotten about the floods, yes those were the days Luckily the floods didn't last long on my previous farm, they were really annoying.

Plan to do this brainless, and attack it like most event, grow & harvest. Those smaller quests should help my seed supply grow and then ..all will magical fall into place. Not covered all 3 fields yet, but next harvest me thunk

For me every Bahama event is a great way to tidy up the farm, catch up on my feed production, and putting it back out, organize all to suit the quests I'm working on. Yes there is a plan behind all that madness.

 

Woo Hoo! I just hit the 100% bonus for 24 hrs on the farm wheel. Hoping this will boost me through these events pretty quick.

 

@-Mir85- and Jazac. Thanks a lot for mapping my event strategy. I do have all the buffs you mentioned and CAC. I'l try to do few steps and see how it goes. Thanks again.

I'll write out the details for each of the problematic steps below. I was a bit wrong in the previous post; for a couple of the steps suzy's super grow won't be enough, you'll have to use super grow. (The largest harvest you can get from a field with CAC and SSG is 188*6= 1128.)

Level 4 diamond 1000 crops in 3 hours:

• Use suzy's super grow on 124 of the 188 plots or
• start quest, harvest full field, resow 62 plots with white innocence & super grow

Level 5 diamond 1200 crops in 3 hours:

• start quest, harvest full field, resow 112 plots with white innocence & super grow

Level 6 silver 1000 crops in 2 hours:

• Use suzy's super grow on 124 of the 188 plots or
• start quest, harvest full field, resow 62 plots with white innocence, fruit cake & super grow

Level 7 diamond 1500 crops in 3 hours:

• start quest, harvest full field, resow 187 plots with white innocence & super grow

Fruit cake is only necessary for the 2 hour step, but can of course be used for the others too, to speed things up and have a greater buffer before the quest finishes.

Thank you Mir85 for picking up all that i missed in this... i saw one step for levels 3 and 6 and just thought those was the only 2 timed quests we had... now looking at FAQ I don't get how i could have been so blind. Well its a good thing i came back to look before my crops was ready....lol

Ok that does it... Who has my mind? I want and need it back.... it wont do you any good... it lacks alot...lol

 

My strategy for today and tomorrow during the work day - Build up enough crops to figure out my weekend do the event strategy.....

I couldn't go through this strategy thread in full. I will be busy full day today since it is the last working day. May be tomorrow I will go through for the strategies. Its a timed quest. Grow the crops, activate the event & harvest manually - I understood that much. Hope that helps me in doing the event.

I got the Helicopter Ride from the farm wheel. I saved up 40 party spins & that helped me get it.

I won the +1 crop for 6 hours from the farmwheel, so I'm off to revise my plan

 

I followed the plan but somehow miscounted and didn't leave enough seeds to resew as I left out my storage facilities. Looks like even with Mir's wonderful map, I still wandered off the path. Who knows where I would have wound up had I not had her map.

Got the first round done and since no drops needed, I planted what seeds I had overnight to begin this morning back on track.

I just hear the gasp of fellow players of FOCD horror of planting a 6 hour crop that sat for much longer

 

I've got the CR but I'm a bit exhausted and used more SG and SSG than I ever have before in an event. It was all trying to get those big numbers done while I had the bonus going so I pushed it hard. Now I just have to go back and finish the rest of step one and two for the goodies but at a slower pace. I also did more math on this one to make sure I didn't donate my replanting seed. I found it a bit stressful but only because I pushed so hard.

Edit: Finished with only 1 plant left.

 

First time, I won the 100% - 24 hr bonus!! I tried following the wonderful strategies laid out and quickly got turned around... I can get lost in my kitchen, you know, forget why I went there??! Just have steps 5 and 7, last two levels. Piece of cake!!!
This is the most fun I have had with a timed FSQ.

 

I blame it on the doorways, joan! I always said when I walk thru I forget what I went in there for and as soon as I walked back out I would remember So it has to BE the doorways, right??

 

Wow, julie, you hit the nail right on the head!!! Maybe when I reach the doorway, I should just stand under it for a minute to get my bearings!

 

I think this event should be renamed to "Just how many times can Clash mess up and do it wrong?" I've not even got to the complicated part of the higher numbers yet and I've already forgotten twice to start the timer before starting to harvest and I've miscalculated how much seed I would have left 3 times. I've got a crib sheet that no sane person could understand and this is all while using perfectly mapped out game plans. I hate timed quests.

This unfortunately says more about me and my sad math skills than it does about the game though so I'm glad others are enjoying it. I keep hoping to hit a harvest bonus but so far I've not been lucky. The farm wheel does not want to cooperate. So far I have 4 of the new givers but can't get seem to get any one of the 3 magical givers I still need. Just not my week it seems.

 

I won the plus one on the wheel too! Just finished the first couple of steps on both farms.

Caution - The counter for the timed quest is slow to update what you have harvested. I have been harvesting manually and will pause for it to catch up!

I only have one field on one farm and screwed up. Forgot to use fruit cake or white innocence before using super grow - Had to abort the third task because I wouldn't get the total of 600 in 2 hrs.

 

Done with the event..all 6 rounds completed..CR up and running..Once again thanks to Mir and all others for their skilled math and wonderful strategy which helped a lot..left with 204 chromoflowers..Good luck to all friends in progress.
