The Big Swirl strategy

Longer crops over night, max trophies - and harvest as often as you can.

I only need a few more drops, should havethe CR up and running before noon tomorrow. Fingers crossed for all

 

3 more steps to go! I need about 740 paddles to finish. Uuggh! Ran out of SG so I cant speed up my drop crops. I have two fields of Bitter ginger and 2 fields of carnations growing. That should gain me the 400 paddle step. My crystal falls and other mainland field is crowing event crops - since I don't have enough of that for the last step either. I am not sure if I will squeak this one. However I decided this CR is not worth investing BB and/or $ to finish for paddles. Lets see what happens!

 

I think I should be able to finish this by early tomorrow. Only 2 steps to go, need about 2000 crops and 789 drops, which sounds horrific, I know. But drops from carnations are doing fairly well today, and I can easily grow the remaining crops on Baha in a few harvests, so I don't think there should be any issues. Haven't had as much time to grow the rye I wanted to, since don't have refinements on it (yet), but now that I can see the light at the end of the corn row, I'll probably switch to that instead of carnations after next harvest for the remainder of the event. sadly I'm not going to be able to finish this event I had to much going on in RL I'm came close but I'm still 4 steps from finishing and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have enough time to get all the drops I need oh well I did the best I could I'm happy I got most of the gifts

 

I have 169 more paddles to collect. Hopefully I will get that done today More like the middle of the night Congrats to those who have finished and fingers crossed for those still plugging away!!

 

CR up on this farm. AmySue52 will not have near enough drops(did get all other gift boxes though). Planted much the same crops on both farms. joanc has LL rune at 30, AmySue does not. I guess those trophies do make a difference, that and luck.

Working on last two steps. I doubt I will get enough drops for the last step. I have 182 out of the needed 540 paddles. Of course I still need to get the rest of the event plants done but I should be able to squeak that part.

 

Wow... quite the reminder, have to jog the old grey matter from time to time.
Using the Seals I have been raising, the LL rune is now at 28(was only 23 when I wrote the Quote)!
I have not harvested again yet, but I bet that makes a difference.

 

With 15 hrs left, I'm done. Yay

Well done mindy1701 I too have just completed this event I am not kidding it was harder for me to obtain paddles than skull ladles phew now I can focus finishing the other event

 

Good job, Mooboy. Yes, those paddles were rather elusive. I'm also waiting for skull ladles to finish being spooky.

 

I've finished on both farms, (both events), and now I can finally get some uninterrupted sleep without my alarm going off reminding me to harvest my fields for drops lol
To my neighbors and friends... send any gifts meant for me to those still struggling.

Finished, whew! I didn't think I was going to make it, because for some reason I thought I needed 900 paddles yet and only had 575 . Imagine my relief when I went to finish the last crop step and realized I could finish paddles too. And of course, I'd already set up my fields for long term crops because I'm a dork and can't count. I'd just delete the carnations and put in something else, except I used poo and buffs just for that and don't want to waste it . bear will probably fall short of the CR, and not even trying for it on mini me, tho have gotten most of the good stuff and will have the givers if I want to trade them at G&T. So much for this being an "easy" event - another case of mislabeling.

 

Super glad for those that could finish this event. My strategy is turning into DON'T DO EVENTS I find the name of this event "The Big Swirl" quite appropriateEquivilant to a SWIRLY

 

It's looking like I won't get enough paddles and I'm on the very last step too. But I'm still trying. The only thing I can do at this point is harvest my last round of carnations a little over an hour from now, then plant something that's less than the rest of the time remaining, then set my alarm to get up to harvest it & hope like heck I get enough paddles from it.

Had an unexpectedly disruptive weekend, which turned all my early gains in this event into a race to the wire. Just finished with 8 drops over. Blessings to my faithful neighbors who have been sending drops in both events.

Just finished "The Big Swirl" event ! I planted way to many crops for this event though, Forgot about the 100% Harvest Bonus x 2...
Would have been Great if we got the boost in Drops to match !!!

I am on the last two steps of the event. Last harvest of crops should be finished in a couple of hours - could have finished them a little earlier but I'm into no stress farming these days and using my farm time to best suit long term goals.

I am almost embarrassed to say, I have had no trouble with the drops and will end up with an excess of 400! I have done nothing special, two or maybe three rounds of event crops and a longer crop overnight.

There has only been one difference to my usual farming strategy - I have finished work and can now harvest more regularly.

I did win the +100% harvest on the wheel this morning which was a nice surprise. Maybe I can make a dent in the Fairy Cats. Only need a tad less than 300!

Good luck all ... I wish I could throw these paddles far enough to drop on all your farms.

Finished with 12 seeds and 457 Paddles left.

 

Finally finished with less than 5 hours left, was waiting on drops crops were finished last Saturday.

Wishing those that are stil waiting that you can finish and well done to those who have finished.

Now to get farm ready to go flying, thanks to 12 in rumours got loads of sunflowers ready

 

I am absolutely amazed, I finished this event. Early Last night discovered 100 event plants short. So couldn't plant another set of drop crops. Just planted more event crops. I don't care about drops at this time because I figure - no way you will get 540 for the last step. After all my harvesting this morning I have 541 paddles.
