The Hunt for Red Diamond Strategy Thread

Assuming you only lack Land extention no 4, you have 134 1x1 plots.

With Cac: 134x4 = 536 in return per harvest, then you need to resow. That leaves you with 402 crop for every harvest.

For simple thinking (only kind of thinking I do), you still build up crop stock the first day. Drop is not an issue (got mainland to fix that)

3 harvest per day for 5 whole days = 6 030 crop. That is the equivalent of 60 jackknives. Which takes you to step 3 with leftovers.

If you only plant event crop, even during night. You'll have 4 harvest for those 5 days. 4x402= 1 608 per day, 8 040 (+134 for not replanting). That would make 81 Jackknives => Step 4 (require 75, and 750 drop.)

Imo that is pretty far on just one land, and very doable. If you don't have a cac, pm in game and I'll send you couple. Farm life is much more fun with Cac.

 

Received a response on Scrap Metal. It is a drop item that just falls randomly from stables, trees, or crops. No refinements exist to improve their drop rate.
I agree Mooboy, Their use should be considered and thought over carefully.

Awesome Crownglory , I quoted you in first post. Hope that's okay. With spoiler tags, so those that want to play hide and seek can. Although - the flashing did help.

 

On all three of my farms... the easter egg / hidden treasure was a flashing sloth ( they made it easy for us)... reward 50 sloth. That should help anyone that wants to participate in the other event but a bit low on critters.

 

Four hour Baby Boom started an hour ago!

 

Done with the breeding event I'm back to watch my bamboo grow. I'm glad it's bamboo and not a Madagascar palm. Apparently they only flower once after 100 years, before they die.... Very thankfully it's bamboo.

 

well bing bang boom, I'm done with the breeding event on both farms. Now to figure out how much I will have to undo on the bahamarama fields to get through this event. I have a bad feeling it's pull it all up time...

 

Me too, finished breeding with just two medals left over (mainly cos I messed up and put two lots of mammals instead of a few birds and a few mammals! )
Skips non existent. Still got tons of the super duper pheromones now ... but whether I will ever use them!

Deluxe pheromones still as useless as ever. 4 squirrel monkeys with 4 of each pheromones netted me 2 squirrel monkeys and a chimpanzee. Which is no skips at all.

Edit: I did however get my final tiki monkey needed to build a red bikini boutique. Been a long time trying to get one and I'm not even sorry I had to use 4 gorillas to get it.

I finished the breeding event as well so I can focus on some regular farming on the main farm for awhile.

 

Done here with the breeding as well... Got both new pens.. and I just love the humming bird....I did a no-no messed up on breeding . and I clicked thinking i was harvesting and removed my carpet factory that was ready...I did ok on some skips..


I am waiting on my 5 knifes and then I will go to the next step in this event..Good Luck everyone

 

Finished the breeding and step 2 of the red diamond. Found first 3 hidden items.

Sloth, snake (anaconda) and a little edge of a banana.

 

Comfort Field + water + manure + SSG + CAC + 200% bonus + SG + White Innocence + Fruit Cake yields 51 Giant Bamboo in just over 4 hours. I managed to squeeze in 100 CF on the islands and am able to do 2 harvests before the bonus ends. That'll be 10,200 event crops done in no time and I'll start the drop hunt tomorrow instead of this weekend.

I'm a happy lucky farmer

Wow... You are a Lucky farmer, habalala! I have landed on the 100%, but slide right past the 200.
Finished the Wild event, here and on AmySue52. Milling food for both critters. I don't think it would hurt the drop total if they are on the fields!??!! Please remember to have fun (and don't drink and drive your yak)!!

 

Add me to the list on finishing breeding event had to put pens in field to see what I recieve I dont like waiting.
Also well done to those who have progressed in hunting the red diamond, im not stressing about this one I know I should finish by weekend only as someone has pointed out earlier we will need trees for next event.

To newer farmers please dont get disheartened by more experienced farmers completing breeding event within hours, we to were new and this happened to us seeing others completing events while struggling to get 1st part done. We have built up animals in barn, just achieve what you can you will soon be in a position to complete events more easily
