This changes everything but my plan :D To be honest I was actually looking forward to the challenge, but as it's not a challenge any more... it lost a bit of it's appeal. But on the positive note - all those that really needed the GB now has a proper chance. That is a huge plus and outweigh any disappointment on my part. :D:D

I will still do what I can during the regularly scheduled event but now don't have to worry about those timing goofups and can do it comfortably when I have finished the Red Diamond event and have all the XXL upgrades. I went ahead and started the timer for task one so I can remove the ebony and betel trees to put back in event crops. Another dusting of SSG and will have that level finished. The beauty of auto harvest timing works nicely ;)

On BW, there is no auto harvesting, I have to harvest that myself, I went ahead and harvested my trees just so they are not sitting and waiting unharvested. I will wait to do the timed quests once I have finished the event and have all trees and upgrades.

Moraine = you can still treat it as a challenge and ignore that it is permanent and keep to your plan/strategy.

So not getting up in the middle of the night if I don't have to. Not setting timer for bamboo, and the Baha menagerie is coming back out.

I'm also disappointed - having dismantled the crystal falls for this. But I'll take pnp's suggestion and try to finish on Wednesday anyway. Timer is on :D

I too dismantled my Crystal Falls especially for the Hungry Statues but I have decided to work on other timed quests on CF and with the extra land, I will also finish the Hunt for the Red Diamond a bit quicker. Hungry Statues can wait a bit longer. :)

I have had a plethora of feelings: initially :wuerg:, then excitement kicked in when I had decided to go all out for both events at the same time. :p Finally, I decided to do what I keep saying I am going to do - relax, take the events at a steady pace and maybe do other stuff at the same time but if I can only do the event, c'est la vie! :music:

Notice I am not so far cured of EFOCD to say that if I can't do the event ... :inlove:

I should have read here before I posted asking if the quest was going to be permanento_Oo_O Since the Ceiba trees are staying maybe we will be able to purchase more of them.

It probably will, but if past rare-event items is something to go by, it takes a long time.

o_O Well, I've already bought the trees, completed step 1 & planted trees for step 2. Have plan in place for steps 3, 4 & 5. Time constraint was not the allotted time to finish step 5, but the end time of the event! Will have event crop finished today anyways :D & necessary space for trees already open on CF. ;) So I might as well finish it, just no worries trying to finish step 5 before going to bed Tuesday. :p Have a couple more timed FSQ's from recent update to finish also, so will try to complete those before BP has another event that needs CF or I put CF back to preferred state! :music:

So, proud of all the mental gymnastics to complete event with a minimum of trees purchased, lack of TM (used it all up last MM) & no sleep interruptions! -.- Just feels like all the air has gone out of the balloon & it's a bit flat! BP does like to surprise us, sometimes happily & sometimes sadly. xD

Yeah on the permanent quest news! :music: I now can work on it when I have the trees unlocked.

I am sorry for all of you that ripped up your fields to give it a go! That is disappointing and frustrating.

    :sleepy:

They took away a great challenge when making the quest permanent

But I'm happy for all younger farms that'll be able to finish.

Still I would've loved the challenge of a short time quest! Something for us long time players to plan out and work towards. It was not to be this time but I reckon BP needs to keep thinking about us and make some events *hard* in more ways then just the words.

Best of luck all! And happy Paddy's day for tomorrow!

I'm trying to do this, "on time", without using excessive SSG, TM or VOL, no Pineapple Cake so my CAC topped with a PPP can stay running... and without too many screw ups or too much idle time, (Ha, RIGHT! I SSG'd a whole field of Saguaro on accident trying to just mulch and SSG my 5 XXL Ceibas, LOL. :wuerg::wuerg::wuerg::wuerg: Ouch!!! xD).

I'm on task 5, with 1 more partial harvest of betel, ficus and plumeria to go, plus 2 more harvests of XXL Ceiba trees to go. I think I am gonna make it !?!? o_O

    Anybody finished yet?

It is 48 hrs left, so you'll definitely make it :D (unless you delete your trees instead of harvesting and forget to replant them :wuerg: or something like that :pxD)

I'm waiting for my last harvest of ceiba trees, six and a half hours to go :)

LOL Thanks Mir...but I learned a long time ago to never underestimate the power of my screw ups LOL

I finished ... Level 1! Should have finished Level 2 but miscalculated on the Apron Incident so couldn't start the next timer in time to finish at a decent hour - now I am not working, I am determined my life will not revolve round this game! If it takes a bit longer to finish things, so be it! :D

I do make the exception for most events but I can organise my time a little better now I haven't got too many RL commitments to attend to lol! :p

Anyway, the Apron Incident is done, I will try to do Level 2 and maybe Level 3 of the Hungry Statues tomorrow, with the first lot cooking overnight. I will have (hopefully) the XXL event trees to speed things up a bit tomorrow. I seriously considered trying to do the Sick Volcano somewhere around here but as I am running short on finishing the Hunt for the Red Diamond event crops, I think I better concentrate on those and do the timed quests as a byline!

Good luck Peeps - fingers crossed for no mess ups! ;)

Can I get the FAQ on that??? :p

Congrats on your progress elsewhere Illy!... but those 50 PF were nagging at me now now now, and keeping me awake at night lol xD(plus who knows when BP might change their minds AGAIN!!!-.-). So I am gettin' while the gettin' is good lol;)

Oh, I hope to finish those Hungry Statues this week especially if the event on Wednesday doesn't include Crystal Falls! :)

I am quite happy that they gave us this timed event and then changed it to a permanent quest. I kept looking at all those other timed quests and didn't want to pull out my Crystal Falls - then the FAQs for Hungry Statues came out waving those PF in front of my nose and I couldn't resist . Now all three Baha lands are clear to do what I want. I will put everything back as soon as I have finished them. :music:

I'm also on a roll with the other timed quests. Have stables and trees ready for the sick volcano to be harvested once I'm done with the ceiba fruits. The apron incident is on after that. Unless some new event takes over

I've got as far as the timed trees - going to try to do them in two lots, don't really want to buy enough (50) of each to do it in one. There's also the issue of space. But maybe, trees would be good for drops in the next event ... :p

Well done on the Hungry Statues by the way Mir! :inlove:
