88 snowflakes on 3 main lands...71 dewdrops on 2 Baha lands with my longest pens and crops. Well below what I normally get...but with not completing 50% of Baha side should be ok for dewdrops
The person in BP world that switches on the drop button must be off today

Drop rate is all over the place. 3 farms all have 30% in the LL rune, Saguaro on island, Foxtail millet on main
    (85 dewdrop, 142 snowflake), (64 dewdrop, 65 snowflake), (55 dewdrop, 89 snowflake)

110 snowdrop and 75 dewdrop. Didn't prep for the ultimate drop count, but had long term crops there. Some stables (including a menagerie with chickens) and trees around a few edges.

First harvest I got 121 snowflakes and 79 dewdrops (3 were gifts)! It will be interesting to see how the day goes!
Good Luck to all and for once I say "Let it snow, Let it snow!" xD and I hope we have heavy DEW up on Baha!

    Late start. Initial harvest
main: 144 snowflakes (Gentiana, Turnip, several manufactories and menageries).
baha: 107 dewdops (Bonnet Cactus, Saguaro, several manufactories and menageries)

No super drops but guess it could've been worse.

Rubbish drops! After my first harvest on 2x2 of both event crops, my drop balance stands at 117/57!:wuerg:

Baha had Saguaro, main had Gentiana and the Glade has what the Glade always has - and usually does well with! :(

Better improve or I won't be finishing!

Initial harvest: 139 snowflakes, 114 dew
    BW initial : 114 snowflakes, 83 dew

Looks like it is time to start 'drop strategies'

What else is there besides trophies, long crops, etc? Hmmmm......let's see.....it was snowing today and we are supposed to get 5 inches so if I have to shovel the driveway, for the 'rate' of snowfall, I will be ready to 'drop.'xDxDxDxDxD

Good luck everyone. Hang in there...it is just day 1.

Very surprising I had better than you Illy. On Bahama I had one field of Saguaro and one of Bonnet cactus (yes, working on a timed one in the middle of this event). I also had Menageries and manufactures, but had elephants and monkeys in them (peanut butter and bikini too). If I hadn't know it was impossible I'd say I had a stroke of luck.

Biggest difference seem to be the 1x1 plots. Worth noticing

Just putting my longest possible crops in for the night - been sitting here too long. Just hope it picks up tomorrow. :music:

Good going all of those who have a good drop fairy looking after them. Careful with that shovel Pups, don't crush those giant blooms! ;)

I had carnations in 1x1's on two fields and my glade full of stables/workshops/trees as usual.
1 field of chayote in 1x1, the rainforest mostly trees with some stables and crystal falls mostly stables with some trees.

With as many trees as I had out I don't think I did too bad on the drops.

Looks like we are back to the drop squeezing grind once again. Blah. :sleepy:
I would much rather have a higher crop requirement and a lesser drop requirement any day.

Couldn't agree more... we're back to that old and nerve-racking wait for drops!>:(:sleepy: But I'm hopeful: everything is going to end up all right.:) For now, I'm worried just with the plants. Once I have them, carnations and/or roses and trees will do the trick!;)
Good luck everybody! Let's go for that snail and that lion!:D

Not sure what my initial count was, 131/98 or thereabouts (some of that's from neighbors and a handful from getting event crops going, forgot to look before :p). Drops were ridiculously low. Had saguaro on Baha; 1 field gave me 31 drops (+ 13 from magic tree), compared to 50+ for same crop during red diamond event. 31 drops for a 24 hour crop >:(. Rose hips on mainland, equally dismal results - something like 28, which is less than I normally get for carnations. -.- bearbabe had carnations out, from one field got 20, yes 20, drops. If that's the game BP's gonna play, it's a bad one. As much as I want those pens, I won't be buying baskets or drops to finish this event. I'll go as far as I can with what I get, and know I did the best I could with odds that were stacked against us. At the current drop rate, I don't know how we can be expected to meet 200 drops per day without spending money.

    Please don't feel sad!
The droprate might not be to our liking but on the other hand the crop and other item requirements are pretty low. With some effort it is very possible to grow under 8000 event crop using only two fields and CAC on both main and baha in about 3 days. The event lasts 6 days so there's plenty of leftover time to use longtimers -crops, pens, workshops- to get the drop part done in time as well.
I see it this way: We all know Farmerama has proven to be a game of patience and this event simply isn't ment to be rushed throu. So.. it being a leisure game I relax and do the event in a slow but steady pace.

    Oh .. and keep smiling!

edit: just planted Turnip (19:30hrs) in my Glade as only 2 fields needed for event crop.

Thank you for the words of encouragement, habalala. :inlove: Not sad, I always seem to eke out a finish, just a little grumpy from 5 days of being sick :p. I am grateful, tho. Last year we got the flu (twice :wuerg: ), and were sick for the better part of 2 entire months. This is just a cold, but it's being very stubborn. Mostly just very very tired. I did the dishes last night, and had to sit down 3 times before I finished; I was wiped out the rest of the night. On the bright side, it's the best I slept all week. xD Yes, plenty of time to grow crops, and put in long crops at night. It just seems extra annoying that the long crops aren't bringing long crop drops.

I didn't get big drops this morning either but I have been getting drops off of low timed crops I was growing while propagating my event crops. I even got 5 dewdrops from a field of sugarcane! Maybe the drops will be a bit more spread out this time.
