Easter Festival Strategy Thread

Trying to do too many things at once. Have completed 39/40 of the Easter Festival. Moonlight Mania will be finished tonight so I will be able to relax tomorrow with only one event on the go.

Done and dusted on this event, both farms... well I mean the CR is up and running, anyway. Never did get any refinements , out of 5 tries. FIVE TRIES, NONE lol. Hope BP at least enjoys the 120 BBs that I spent on the 30 crates for each farm

Guess I'll piddle around growing more crops/drops for a few additional prizes now 'til the event ends

Congrats to those that kicked this one in the hind end, and keep going everybody still at it, lots of time left, best of luck!

 

Sorry to hear about your mother's illness dumunny. Wish her a speedy & good recovery.

Happy Easter one and all! I just finished the Easter Festival Event and the CR is up and running! I will continue to grow crops
and get the drops till the event ends, maybe I can get some good prizes! Anyway, Good Luck to all and you still have plenty of time to get it done!

 

Refinements really? I got the 10% increased fertilizer effectiveness. It does not say it" might" happen but that it WILL happen. Baloney!!!
I put egg crop down watered then fertilized and crop says same amount of time before using the so called refinement. And I got the refinement 8 hours ago and put it in the refinement slot then and logged out so it's not because I just got it and hadn't refreshed

 

wynde23 the 10% refinement is 10% of the 10% manure buff OR really a 1% increase to the manure buff! So manure reduces harvest time 11% rather than 10%, hardly noticeable.

The 30 crates gave me quite a few extra Easter nests, basic nests and extra crops and a giver, so I got a good jumpstart.

 

I just finished too!! I bought some of those crates and got 2 of the givers so that helped. Also had lots of manure from my animals I have out. Pretty much harvested on time using 9 (2x2) and the rest 1x1's. Averaged between 15-21 drops. Now I will just keep at it and get extra gifts although I seem to collecting mostly "common" Oh well, I'll take what I can get Don't give up...still have time. I meant to send gifts earlier today and had to leave early but I made it back in time to send them If any of my neighbors or friends read this post and have a preference for either drop, please IGM me. Thanks!!

 

MarlyMar, I bought 8 Easter crates, I got 3 Easter Nests, 2 Egg-chantment givers, a few basic nest and a few crops. I think
the fact that I do not sleep well gave me the upper hand, as I could harvest late at night and very early in the morning! Mind you I DO NOT set an alarm or anything crazy like that I just wake up! Oh and NO Greenhouse thingy's for me!

 

I'm a part-time insomniac with a very sporadic sleep schedule, but I must confess... I did set my alarm a few times

 

Yep, sleep evades me too How I would love to sleep for more than 3 or 4 hrs at a time. I tried refinements a couple of times and......nothing So I opted to just grow, grow, grow

 

Slightly off topic... but for those of you who have trouble sleeping, I suggest you explore the options of essential oils. I was having some severe sleeping problems (which led to great farming advances lol) along with some other emotional fluctuations that I believed to be part of, well, hormonal stuff. I asked my oil guru for suggestions, she made me a blend, I commented, she tweaked - and I sleep for six hours easily, often more than that. Beats the heck out of waking up at 2am every night and staring at the ceiling for hours. To get this back to topic, while the refinement thing is a little aggravating - I'll happily turn in thirty crops for some super grow, SSG, or stars, which is what I have gotten so far!

 

9 GB for me - so not bad return for 90 event crop that I didn't have enough drop for anyway. If you lack GB - or love TEP, it might not be a bad thing to give it a try with the left over crop.

 

All done here, AmySue52 still needs 7 more Easter Nests. It just depends on the drop rat.
Now, off in search of GBs in the refinery.

 

I also got 5 PF as a consolation prize for no refinements. My crops outpaced my drops so it worked fine for me to donate 30 crops to the greenhouse. I didn't keep track of what I got but I do remember the PF. I'm not sure about the Golden Bananas since we could get those from the event itself but I did get those as well.

I'm finished with the event on this farm and 10 Easter egg nests to make on 2nd farm.

It had a slow and worrisome start but it all came together fine. I think it worked for me only because I have the ability to be at the computer frequently to harvest on time.

I should add too that I did get some very decent prizes for my attempts at getting refinements, but it would have been nice to shorten the crop time from early on in the event so that I could be making a lot more Easter Nests lol .
