Easter Festival Strategy Thread

I've only gotten GBs once, but it was 12. I haven't had any luck with refinements, however, unlike regular refinements, the 4 hour clock continues to the next one. I have only been getting about 12 on one of my farms and it has all fields open, but I will keep refining and growing. The stable enticements and GBs and stars are very nice, not to mention CCs, EP and TEP.

 

Almost half way on my main farm and a little further behind on the other. I doubt I will finish this one, since I had RL commitments.
I think the prizes are decent, so I am still plugging away.

 

Currently at 32/40 on progress bar. I would've been a little further along if I could have harvested last night but the game was really lagging & I couldn't stand waiting anymore so went to bed. I finally got a refinement after the 12th try. Early bloomer 10% reduced growing time. Wish it was the 20% but better than the 5%! Plus the compensation rewards were a good bonus when not receiving refinements each time. I'll still keep trying for the 20% & get some compensation rewards in the meantime. Congratulations to everyone!! It seems like many people have won good prizes I won 2 Snails I did try the greenhouse again but looking over the rewards I decided to go back to making the nests and getting those rewards. There's still a day left so keep going

 

Finished with the event, got the CR. Didn't spend any real money or BB (except for a once speeding up the greenhouse cos I was too eager to wait until morning to see that I got nothing). I got enough sleep, I had a social life, and only managed find one refinement in the end. It was doable, indeed. I do agree it won't fit everybody's schedule or life, but it was not needed to spend money to do it all. I got around 5 gifts per day. I also only used 2x2s

I'll continue as I did the event, cos I enjoyed it so much. Haven't grown tired of it yet. And the refinery for me has been a golden banana bonanza. Nothing to spend them on tho

Drops are so slow After I opened the full field I've gotten an average of 16 drops per harvest. Most I've ever gotten is 21, but a couple of times I've gotten as few as 9 oh well only need 2 more easter nests, so at most two more harvests.

With so few drops I threw the leftover crops in the greenhouse and got some good refinements after a slow start, the crop now only takes 3h 14 min with water and manure, so that's nice a least.

 

I ended up getting the 20% time reduction on both farms after I finished the event lol... oh well. Still planting and milling, the prizes I'm getting seem a little more generous than what I am getting from feeding the bugs, even if I am only making 1-2 nests per harvest . It really annoys me how all over the place the drops rate is, it's different every time. I haven't been getting 24 very often no matter which plot size I use, and my low was 7 once (from 2x2s) . Not a bad event, but squirming for drops took some fun out of it for me.

Have finished the Easter Event as of this morning and activated the CR .
Congratulations to you Moraine for finishing also .
Will continue to grow the Event crop to build up for the conversion after it ends , since this field can`t be used for anything else .

I am going to be 5 Egg Plants short and no time for another harvest, lol! My own fault for not calculating ahead! I think if I had time for one more harvest, I could do it. I kept in line with drops most of the way and may have been a little short at the end but it makes no difference now ... not enough to do any refinements so no way out of this very frustrating problem!

I will be in the same boat with the bugs (not literally) - need one more harvest than I have time for. Think I would be okay with drops there but again, doesn't matter if I haven't got the crops!

Not to worry, I spent some nice family time at the weekend and had an important meeting yesterday so in the great scheme of things, I am not tooooo disappointed!

Besides, the next event just round the corner!

Edit: I have a cunning plan!

If I harvest just enough to get one Easter Nest, leaving myself with zero Easter Plants, maybe, just maybe I will get the extra 5 Easter Plants to finish BUT I will still need 40 Basic Nests.

I'm off to the SOS thread ... it might just work!

I'm not going to finish either of these events. The drops just weren't there. Thanks to all that helped. I'm at 38 with the bugs. Maybe Ill get the coins.

No stables but hopefully they will come around again

 

I finished 5 crops and 15 drops short to finish and I am giving up on the bugs. I will not get enough crops so no point worrying about droprats!
Never mind, here comes the next event!
