I didn't participate last time we had the fruit market event, so for those who have participated in the past, my question on that is: is it only from fruit trees we can donate or can it be other items from trees that aren't technically fruit as well? Thanks!

Secondly, about the butterfly breeding event, I saw we need shimmery powder as a product for the event but I haven't seen how to build or get the perfumery that makes shimmery powder. I probably won't have a great chance at this event, but wanted to try, bought lots of butterflies I've had out on my field for a while now. Anyone know where the perfumery is to build or buy? I don't see it in the workshop. Thanks!

Almonds, walnuts and cork are classified as treefruits as well as lemons, apples and oranges .. anything listed as treefruit in the market goes.

The perfumery is a rare workshop which will become available to build once the butterfly is a breeding animal (thus at the start of the event). I think there is one general FSQ which rewards it.. sorry I don't recall which one.
Note that the perfumery is not needed for completing the breeding event itself, as far as rumours go it'll be asked for additonal extra rewards only.

My 2 cents on it :)

The perfumery was a prize in a few different events I don't remember if we have even been able to trade for one. I don't think so but I could be wrong. Anyway no way for you to build or buy one at this point. It's usually cheaper to buy the powder anyway as it takes 3 butterflies plus feed to get one powder.

As to the fruit market I'm not 100% certain I know which event you mean. I'm assuming it's the one where there are 3 different basket levels and you earn coins to spend in the event shop. I will say that typically any item from a tree is considered fruit. The only exception are product trees such as sugar or eggs as an example.

Edit: posted at the same time habalala. :)

The rewards from the Fruit Market are Farm Coins.
The drops (from trees only) are Wonderfruits, we can donate those as well.

    Thanks!! @habalala & @Clashstrummer
Fruit Dealer is the one I'm referring to that's supposed to start soon (I think on the 10th). @Clashstrummer
@PeepsCA Yes I know farm coins are the rewards for the fruit dealer event that's why I'm so looking forward to it. :)
I need lots of farm coins & wanted to make sure beforehand I put out all the right trees for maximum donation & rewards. For example, I wanted to make sure it was indeed all tree items listed under the tree fruit section in our barn (items like blackwillow catkin, ice fir cone, sakura blossom, wisteria flower, etc. & not just specifically actual tree fruit only like apples, oranges, bananas etc. (even though I know those are included of course, but you know what I mean). So, now I know for sure & looking forward to the event starting.
    :)

Silver Leaf Cone, Maple Sap & Cork have the highest mainland exchange value (EV). Sandalwood, Pitomba & Goji have the highest baha EV. Maple trees are normal trees & you can buy as many from the basket as you want. Pitomba & Goji also on baha.
You can of course buy the fruits themselves in the market for lots & lots of CC's. ;)
