I know doing the side bars for this event is optional, but asking for 80 Shimmery Powders is COMPLETELY unreasonable, especially for the measly rewards we get in return. And seriously, not many farmers even HAVE a Perfumery yet, and to grow 80 of them once the Butterfly Breeding goes live and we can go build Perfumeries it is going to be next to impossible to produce 80 Shimmery Powders without using more power feed in an already power feed draining event. Not an easy/medium event at all. I really dislike not fully completing events, but I will not be donating a single Shimmery Powder to the left progress bar .

Even with the edits made to the requirements of the main progress bar, the event rewards are less than exciting, not even close to being adequately rewarding... a Pink Butterfly House and a Pink Perfumery instead of an Orange Butterfly House and a Yellow Perfumery for all of the breeding we will have to do to get the CR (that also leaves a lot to be desired) would have been much better and would have scored you a lot of praise for being so generous.

I really hope this new version of a breeding event and it's lack of satisfying rewards does not become the new norm. I always enjoy breeding events... they make me want to buy XL packs of power feed, but only IF the rewards are worth it to my farms. Hint Hint.

I also hope hope hope you have listened to all of the past complaints about the lack of skips during BBDs and have made a change for the better. The harder and less worthwhile/less rewarding this game becomes to play/participate in, the more farmers will lose interest and decide to keep their money and just quit the game.

 

I have just looked at the "Pink butterfly house and the Pink Perfumery" that we can build, and in my humble opinion
they are NOT that pretty or attractive! We will work hard to get one of those at least they could be pretty! IMHO I think the "yellow" is the prettiest of all! I know I am only one person but maybe a little more thought could go into the Pinks and Neons please!

 

I agree totally with your post Peeps but BP have not listened to your plea for decent skips

Having done 40 breedings on 3 farms, skips and doubles are as rare as hen's teeth.

Now I get why the requirements are high..its because of the packages on sale BP want us to buy.

Sorry to dissapoint you BP this is one person not interested.

We keep telling you make game and events fun and enjoyable then people will want to buy the odd package that is reasonably priced. Dont make this into a money making scheme as you will loose.

This event is not easy/medium to me its extremely hard with the numbers required

 

I am peeved that in the past I traded in the gift and trade to get butterfly houses and now they have been devalued just so Big Point can cash in on Powerfeed sales that accompany any new breeding event. It is a slap in the face to long time players, every time they turn a former rare stable into a breeding event.

 

I Hate Baby doomer and cannot see the point of doing it in this event... when you can go and buy the yellow and the basic Butterfly at the Supply store and get the Pink and Orange butterfly in the workshop... which I will do in my own time
Have never had great skips in Baby Doomer ... SO am saving my PF and Just doing the other part of the event to get the Farm coins etc

Seeing the other posts, I'm guessing I'm a minority here, but I think I should leave feedback for events I like, not just the ones I don't. I admit I was initially appalled by the numbers everyone thought we'd need to complete this event. I think we all tend to gasp at requirements before we settle down and start taking the entire picture into consideration, like skips and returns (base animals gotten back most breedings). What seemed impossible and obscene at first, actually turned out to be no big deal, at least to me. I was easily able to complete the necessary breeding with the animals I had on hand, and even make some profit in the market, always a nice bonus. PF consumption was really not horrible, and PF return in the form of rewards was adequate if not outstanding. Skips were, as usual, totally random, some good, some bad, but nothing I care to complain about. I know there was a lot of outcry about the need for the shimmery powder product, but this aspect didn't really bother me. I have often wondered, if fact, why we don't see a call for products more often during breeding, as we get new production pens, but rarely have a use for them once the accompanying FSQs are completed. Being as the cost to produce is often quite high, tho, it might have been wise to require fewer. Overall, I would have to say I enjoyed this event. I love CRs that give crates, especially animals, especially breeding animals, so the top prize was desirable to me. The graphics were absolutely gorgeous , love the butterfly sprinkling sparkly powder everywhere, just wish we could hide the progress bar to be able to enjoy the entire picture. My only real disappointment is the pens; normally we are awarded red animal upgrades, and I think at least orange production pen upgrades if not red (can't remember ), during breeding events, so it is disappointing to only be given orange and yellow respectively. Of a similar note, I personally was greatly looking forward to the release of the pink butterfly pen, figuring it should be quite beautiful. Unfortunately, to me it resembles the pink bee pen, and holds no real aesthetic appeal. I would respectfully request a design reconsideration on that one. Otherwise, I think I give this event 2 paws up.

 

@spotsbox, I totally agree with all you said! They are my thoughts exactly, I rather enjoyed this event and did the "whole thing" and still sold a few butterflies in the market (base ones only!) The CR is very cute but as you stated the Pink Butterfly pen and Pink Perfumery leave a lot to be desired! All in all I thought this was a good and fun event! Thanks BP and team!

 

Me too! Loved this event. If we had had BB straight away, it would have been less entertaining. I would have finished it too quickly and it would have been an anticlimax.

I finished it all, sold a few Butterflies and Shimmery Powders and still have a few on the Market - maybe they will make me rich, maybe not.

Enjoyable and not too expensive. Plus the skips were okay, not great but okay.

 

Me three!!!! I had a lot of fun with this event!!!!! Great skips, great CR etc!!!!!

 

I thought when I read the numbers that this was not going to be worth doing the event. The side bars were easy for me & the top bar really was not anywhere near the numbers that were first given. I finished event & think the skips in Baby Boom were helpful. I do like to see getting at least red instead of yellow & orange which are pretty basic pens but all in all, not a bad event.

 

I actually agree with you sandollar15, the yellow version and the orange are my favorites. Sure thing, it is a matter of taste, but I do not like most of the pink stables, leave alone the neon stuff.

 

I'm also surprised with the requirements for this event. Butterflies had historically been a lesser required item and having to produce this many to deliver at once is not a possibility for me. I will not even mention the shimmery powder amounts. Would like to participate but just can't!

Thank you pnp I wasted a lot of butterflies on each farm but have managed to finish on each.

I didn't like the requirements, when FAQ came out. I must admit, sometimes I am really pessimistic, and when I saw how many butterflies we would need, I just wanted to give up on this event. BUT.. then BP reduced the requirements for the last two "level" breedings and the gothic butterfly was obtainable through the tree of wisdom. HUGE savings of butterflies and PF through that. So well done BP, that you listened to us.
Shimmery powder requirements have been quite high, so some gamers got quite rich on that part... but that's also part of the game
Skips have been quite good too on the first day of baby boomer, today the skips have been almost non existent. Still ok in total.

Two thumbs up and I hope next breeding event and baby boomer will see similar results

 

As you have read...you are not alone in your opinion of the pinks. They do remind me also of the pink Bee...

I would also like to respectfully add one more 'Aye' to the design reconsideration request, as Butterflies have a very special and delicate beauty that should be honored in all their designs.
This should offer someone an opportunity to really excel in the Creative Dept.

 

I just got back to play (dealing with my moms death) and discovered this event - looks fun, until I saw the perfumery and have no place to put it. Trying to keep up with ALL the other things going on in the Farmers Society, the costly price for the extra space, I'll never be able to play this event or the others coming up. Please, make the arboretum and the manufactory easier to obtain. I cant play every day and its becoming frustrating that I cant obtain these items.

 

Of late Baby Boom Day has become an event where you get the next level coloured butterfly along with an extra coloured butterfly of the same level or lower level without any skip. Good skips are very very rare indeed.
So Baby Boom Day has lost its charm.
