What a beautiful little baby girl. Can't wait for yours to have their babies!

Angie has a very dark bull and as it's the dominant colour she has been getting most of her calves black or dark brown. She's hoping for lighter ones... they aren't better but they are the recessive gene. USA do not seems to retain the grey gene any longer but USA do bigger calves than us but in the north they breed for meat... horses for courses :)

Thanks for sharing the lovely baby photo - makes me eager to see your new sweethearts!:inlove: And what exciting news about Elsa!

Sorry Frodo is having tummy issues; hope that stops soon.

Sookie has come to join us as a "mouser", around the barns and paddocks.

The rehoming charity have tried to rehabilitate her but to no avail and could not put her in a home environment. Bless her, she doesn't need to be cornered to launch an attack, just in pouncing distance. Even putting food down needed leather gauntlets for the first few days but I am sure once she can release her aggression on what comes naturally, we can all learn to live happily, side by side. :)

8)May you be blessed, Karen, for giving your heart to a furball who needs it....and could not find it anywhere else!:inlove::inlove:
She will learn from your patience, and from your herd's acceptance of you as their Leader. It may take a bit, but - You know - Love conquers all. (Especially needy furballs!):music::inlove::D
I hope, if she will finally 'allow' it, that you might remember please, if you would, to give Sookie a gentle hug (or if that's asking too much...a soft thumb-stroke between her eyes and up her forehead) from me - who loves her already!:inlove::) (I am such a sucker for kitties!!o_O:inlove:)

Love how your herd is growing, and...3 more babies this year??!!!...from FRODO at that!!:D:D Karen, you truly have worked a Miracle there!!

If anyone can turn this beautiful cat around it will be you Karen! It will take lots of love and more importantly patience as most cats are not very trusting, you have to "earn" their trust, just like with your reindeer!:inlove: I know you have both!;) All the best!

Very pretty kitty! No doubt she will soon learn you are trustworthy and kind. And just think of the reduced mouse population!:)

I can't believe it, Sookie is changing so quickly. An outdoor life must be really suiting her, less stressful?

She comes to ask for strokes (when she first started meowing at me I must say I started with leather gauntlets on but not now), she rolls on her back and is even happy with her tummy stroked, as yet we don't do cuddles. :)

She did attack my legs once yesterday but for good cause.... She was high up in the hay barn and trying to get down for attention, she jumped onto a bale I had opened (so it was loose), it collapsed, so she landed in a heap at my feet. Poor baby obviously thought I had done something, so she launched at my legs - luckily I had wellies on... She forgave me seconds later, or felt embarrassed by her mistake. :)
Getting to know reindeer too now and no longer launching at them.

xDxDxD That is the cutest picture... looks like Sookie is saying "That's close enough". 8)
What is the reindeer reaction to a 'Sookie launch'? o_O xD

I am so happy to hear that Sookie is turning around so fast!! All she needs is love!:inlove: Cats ALWAYS blame us humans when they make a foolish mistake! It is never their fault!xD I love the picture of Sookie just staring down the reindeer, I wonder what the reindeer is thinking! lol

I am pleased to hear that Sookie is settling in so well and beginning to be friendly towards you. I love the picture of her and the reindeer, it's probably just as well we don't know what they are thinking of each other lol!

    8) Oh, Karen! Your wonderful news about Sookie has literally brought tears to my eyes. For her to turn around so quickly shows just how much she needed the security of being truly loved and cared for.:inlove: It would appear that she wasn't being aggressive...she was being defensive, poor thing. ("The best defense is a good offense"...she sure had a good offense!! Lol!) You were just what she needed - desperately so! You have probably (definitely!) saved her life.:inlove:

As a Mom myself, I have to say...how very proud your Mom would be to see what your caring nature has created from her trust in how wisely you would use her inheritance.
The beautiful 'sanctuary' you've created for your herd and other needy animals is truly inspiring!!:inlove::D

Farmlily, your comments have had me sobbing (in a good way), even hubby too had a tear in his eye when I showed him your comment, we both loved her to bits. I didn't know that anyone would remember why I started my "midlife crisis" change of career. But I love every moment, well almost... July last year was awful but staying strong through adversity was a test I had to endure...
"Killer Kat" is almost "Softie Sookie"
Thank you to all followers, you give me strength through the good times and the bad. xxx

    ("Killer Kat"!!! xDxDxD)

Thank you for sharing such a tender moment with us, Karen.:inlove:What you have achieved is truly worthy of your Mom's belief in you (both).:inlove::)She must have been a remarkable woman in her own right.:)

Huge hugs for you and Hubby......and Sookie, too! (Lol - you do realize that she is in danger of becoming a House cat now instead of a Barn cat?!:D)
Or....maybe not - she will just claim BOTH places!xDxD It is apparent that Sookie has made a 'forever' bond with you.:D:inlove:

Love love love your photos, btw!! Seeing the human/animal bonds, and your animal's antics, is the BEST thing in this entire game.

The reindeer are having far too much fun in the rain to even think about calving.
The main reason I'm sharing video, is the brown one leaping about (half way through) is Frodo. :)
He may still be on the skinny side but I'm pretty sure if he wasn't feeling well he wouldn't do acrobatics just for the fun of it! :)

and a bit of a video of Sookie - I really can't believe this is the same cat that was about to be put down, 11 days ago, as she was too vicious to be placed in a home. I think someone has switched her.... She even found her purr today. :)

PS Farmlilly, keep that quiet from the Powers that Be or it may become a Pay to View Channel... ;) Heehee

Sookie's motor was loud and clear to me. Cats don't do that unless they are happy and relaxed. :inlove:
