And Fergie has already grown an inch (in last 9 days) since birth.. It's just he was born a Monster! :)
My guess is Katya will have rubbish antlers this year as that big boy will drain everything.. :( We'll see.

Herman it is!!! I am so glad you have another "H" boy!!!! Question: Are boy reindeer bigger than girls at birth?

Brooke - often but not necessarily but they certainly grow quicker than the girls once born. Herman was certainly the heaviest I have ever had by about 2 lbs.

You have brought back happy memories of the Munsters by naming him Herman! Although he is much more attractive than his namesake. :) I was about to ask the same question as Brooke; interesting that boys grow quicker.

As to boys growth... Gandalf has gained about 7 inches in height since I purchased him in January. He is now as tall as adults girls! I am pretty sure Frodo is far taller than he was but never measured his height, as I was only worried about covering his spine with flesh. :) Frodo already has 3 prongs on his new antlers and still a few weeks of growth to go (only 2 at their maturity last year which was pathetic for his age). But he is looking good, his summer coat is gleaming, he still needs more weight BUT!! boy he has turned a corner :)
    Herman Monster today

I would think Boris had something to do with "killing" the babies water bucket as well bless him! Love the picture of Herman, as Sanddollar said he is so cute and looks so cuddly.

Somebody didn't want Herman to drink out of a PINK bucket! o_O:wuerg:xD You might want to try a more gender neutral color for their next water bucket. :music::p;)xD Just saying! :inlove:

Only Elsa left to calf and to be honest I was slightly concerned as she has a white rear and I thought I saw vague pink colouring on her feathers. I thought she was going to abort BUT today I have seen baby kick.
Elsa doesn't do watching her tummy, let alone "up close and personal".
As of today, her baby is still alive and her udder says within the week... Picture of a couple of weeks ago, she's bigger now but baby not thrashing about but still alive. :)

I remember Elsa as a great mom. Kinda helped to settle her some... :p a bit! Prayers going out for a healthy baby.
Love all the pics of your new additions and the big kids, too. :music:

Just a quick update, picture of Frodo's progress.
I am quite pleased with where he is now compared to his original condition but I am still hoping he will gain far more weight over the Summer months in order to be in tiptop condition to go into rut and then Winter weight loss, carrying lots of weight.. Not sure if I'll make that goal but even if he only gains a little more he will face September in far better condition than last year. :)

Picture just napping in the sunshine but his new Summer coat looks healthy and his antlers are already better than they were and still more growing to go. I think it will take him a couple of years to really get "there".

He looks really well and it is obviously all due to your love and care. His antlers are starting to look quite impressive. Can't wait to meet him!

Frodo looks like a different reindeer from that poor pathetic reindeer you brought home to save!;) You did it Karen, with the help of Frodo wanting to live, just look at the beautiful coat he is getting, unlike the dull, dry, poor condition coat that he had! It makes me happy every time I see him!:inlove: @Lilaclady when you do meet him, I hope you will give him hugs (if you can)!;)

For all that remember Thor (Mischa's calf 2016) that now lives with Ythanbank Reindeer, along with Loki, Freddie and Storm.
I have had this photo of Thor pruning the trees.. I hope all future homes will be as good as Yhanbank are. :)
