What better Summer picture is there than little kids in a pool!xD Such fun to see all the goings on in these pictures! Brookeham is so right about Katya and Ria keeping the frozen treat to themselves very smart reindeer!;)

Love the picture of Herman and Fergie in the pool. Frodo looks as though he is going to be a very handsome young man.

Lilac... notice his tail up... he's poohing in the pool Again!! Yesterday I was collecting pooh samples from the babies for faecal worm counts... The only poohs I could collect from Herman were floating in paddling pool - he jumps in there to pooh!... Vet wondered why his sample was so wet! Hmmn, there's always one that makes life complicated!

What enjoyable photos! Herman is really a character; he is definitely going to rival Boris for mischief. And Frodo is fast becoming a superior looking fellow!

Paddling pool wrecked overnight. Bales demolished and tears in tarp... :( I have rebuilt, with help, this morning with my only spare tarp now in use... Have ordered a dog paddling pool but sure it won't cope with reindeer play but we have a strange heatwave going on... EEK. Strangely I can keep the girls with remaining coats cooler as I hose them down.. Frodo (Mischa, Boris) that are almost in Summer coats, the water just rolls off!
I have an edit... or all those who remember Loki - Katya's baby from 2 years ago.
    Loki treshing Ythanbank fields! :)

Do antlers itch when they are growing? I broke my ankle when I was 13 (a very long time ago, before they put screws & plates in to hold things together) and the cast went from my toes to the top of my thigh. o_O AND BOY DID IT ITCH! :wuerg: When broken bones are healing it often itches. :music: So if antlers itch as they are growing, maybe Loki is just gently scratching an itch. ;)
Hope everyone is enjoying the pool party & staying cool! 8)

They wanted to keep my knee immobile, so a full leg cast!
A wire hanger straightened out helped, but couldn't get past the knee. Not a fun time, but the ankle healed well. :D

Reindeer are coping pretty well with the strange heat in UK, with their paddling pool, popsicles and twice daily hosing... My worry is Pookie (cat). I had to rotate reindeer into Home Paddock after worming.
Home paddock was Pookies "garden".. She won't come close while they are there... Her food is being eaten overnight. My wonderful neighbours are updating me with pictures of her in their gardens (showing she is fine) but she won't join me at the moment. Not used to cat behaviour and finding it scary!!
She seems happy and fine but no longer finding me her cuddles bunny! :(

    Cats maybe too independent!

As long as she is eating and finding some water to drink and shade in this heat she should be OK. She is obviously put out because the reindeer are in her "garden" and she is blaming you for that lol! Cats are not only very independent they can be very territorial as well!

Yes cats are very independent or so they think!;) They pick you lol I believe she is use to being out doors and as long as she has food and water she will survive! She is staying close to "your home" so she has not abandoned you, just playing the waiting game! Good luck with Pookie!:inlove:

No great pictures as such as I rarely have enough pockets in this weather to carry my camera!
But Gandalf is continuing to grow, like a "bean pole" (I have that photo) - despite only being a yearling he is about 3" taller than the adult girls!
Frodo's top antler points have divided yet again... go Frodo go. I'm going to have two very healthy (feisty boys) come the rut!
And Pooky cat, I have tracked her down, she has taken up residence in a neighbours shed..She was more than happy for a cuddle but didn't roll over for tummy tickles... I picked her up to try to bring her home BUT as soon as she saw reindeer she leapt away... That was this morning, later in day I encouraged her closer to her home with hand feeding... She's still close by so I think once I can move reindeer on then she will forgive me!
And finally most of us get excited by new shoes... Not me I have new plumbing equipment delivered today, ready for me to install a new trough/ tap and eventually a low level auto drinker for next years crop of babies 8?? [IMG]:)

Not sure if it was here or "elsewhere" who forgot who Ria was..
I haven't posted recently of the yearling girls as they don't misbehave & they are looking pretty scruffy with their moults

You have beautiful healthy young girls, Karen. I can see how the extra hair would help hold the water during a cool down. :p
Dear Herman, you can see the ripples on the pond. :music:
