I've never played this event before so I'm looking forward to it. The main drawcard for me is the chance to finally get a salamander den (fingers crossed for the red upgrade as well - fantastic graphics!!).

Update: Finally got a salamander......YAY [IMG]
    Happy Dancing!!!!
Trying for the red pen now, fingers crossed!

Further update: I am uncrossing my fingers now because I have realised that there is absolutely no way that I can get the red salamander den.

After this event is finished, it would be interesting to know if anyone finished it completely without spending $$$...…......hmmm....….highly unlikely.

I don't mind that events can be difficult at times, and with careful play and lots of dedication and planning, you know there is still a chance that you can finish, with the option to spend money if you want to advance at a faster rate. Events seem to be heading down the path of 'you must spend money to finish them'. I don't buy into that (pardon the pun!). I like a challenge and refuse to pay money for an event that can only be finished with $$$.

Pity this event can't run for a few more days to give us a chance of finishing. I started this event feeling excited but now that excitement has jumped into the abyss...... and my motivation wasn't too far behind.

I enjoy this event and am glad to see it come back around. I do like this trend of repeating events. I like that the requirements are such that out of every harvest, I can make some progress - very quick gratification which inspires me to keep growing. Love the prizes at such low increments, and the combination of luck and strategy involved in the mini game. Drop rate seems excellent. All good :)

I also enjoy this event, but for me, the drops are way too low this time round:(

It is good to see old good events to come again:music:
But the requirements for completing the event have rose since the first snake eyes events by 64 drops and 4.060 crops!!
    Giving us the same days.

Even with the adjustments made to its first edition, everything depends on "luck": drop rate and the chances with the dices. In the 55 rounds needed to get the CR, for example, one player can obtain 12.200 points while another gets only 7.000.:wuerg:

Player's abilities and/or strategies are completely useless :(>:(
The way it is now, its an event frustrating, stressfull and totally demotivating. :sleepy:

Nice prizes on the upper levels with the Salamander, Red Salamander, Skateboard, Red Skateboard, Quill, Red Quill plus the FC, PF, HHC, PS, GB and misc. pens and trees.

I won't be able to get most of them though because I left my third field open to work on quests and inventory replenishment. I was hoping for a farm wheel spin to give me a harvest bonus to help me out but no such luck.

With all the events we need a field to be available to work on quests and also when are we to use all of these new buffs? Buffs are not effective on event crops so +3 Grains, Flowers, etc. sounds good but if I can't use them they are not much good. If not a new field how about a new buff slot to allow for an event buff (CAC) and a buff (ex: +3 Grains) for fields that are not being used for the event?

No problem getting the CR (35 hours left and need 10 more played games).

How about an event that uses regular crops instead of event crops? Not only could we use the other buffs but any excess would go into inventory.

UPDATE: 12 hours remaining and I probably won't make it much further than the first Salamander Pen. It would have been nice to get some Red upgrades but just not worth losing sleep over.

I would like to see the number of points required for each item lowered or points given raised so that you can get a prize at least every other turn. Why are there no points for 2 pair or extra points when you use less than 3 throws?

Once again drop rate is terrible. No way to finish the entire event - I got the cloud row but only because I bought some shakers otherwise probably still be waiting for enough drops. Getting very tired of having to buy my way through some of these events. And I do not like starting an event & not being able to complete it all the way through but who can get to 100 when the drops are low & the amount to get to each prize is determined by pure luck of the dice.

I really like this event but you need to rethink it. The drops were way to few even with growing long time plants :( and I don't know of anybody who actually finishes all the gift levels 1-100 :( if you are going to make it so difficult to finish then you could at least move the prizes worth getting closer to the top instead of so far down on the levels. Please consider redoing the way this event is set up thank you

I am a long time player...I am on the game constantly...yet I have not been able to finish the last few events...Yes I have used buffs, super grow, mulch...u name it i have used it...imagine my dismay when i looked and realized we only had 30 minutes left to Snake Eyes...another event where I earned maybe 2 givers...no row.
Give me the row first than at least I have a change at G & T to get the pieces...-.-:(:sleepy:

I think a lot of the ill will regarding this event could have been avoided simply by NOT having the last fifty unattainable levels. It sets the expectation that we CAN do it, when in reality it was that only players who invested a fair amount of money could get there. I played 88 games and got to level 50. For me the drops were great, but I planted long crops every night, where a lot of people don't start doing that until they have all the crops. I ended with fifteen crops and four drops, which is the most balanced ratio I've ever had at the end of an event. For myself I was well pleased - but my schedule permits me to have almost no down time on the farm. I think we all accept that this is not a game for "casual" players, but it is fast becoming one where people with real lives have to choose between their real life and a game. That is a losing strategy. Please reduce the requirements for events, just by a little, and you'll find that more people are buying more stuff, because happy people spend money; unhappy ones quit. That is Business 101, the first thing they teach you in business school. I actually had a class subtitled "how to make all the money" and it was about simply understanding things like the law of supply and demand, not at it's face value, but intertwined with reality - how to make people WANT to spend money, rather than HAVE to spend it. Your long term players have been saying for the past two years that your strategy changes are not for the positive. Many of them have left the game; many more have made changes to their spending habits. Make your players happy, and your game will grow. Keep alienating, and yes you'll get new players, but they won't stay. The average amount of time a person stays with a game is something absurd like 13 days - people try something, and when it stops being rewarding, they move on, because there are plenty more choices out there. Listen to your players, please.

I agree levels 51-100 should have never been there-.- Many of us players thrive on completing things and it is impossible to do so with this type of event. I realize it's dice, therefore a game of chance but.....that's REALLY pushing it:(

This is one of my favorite events :) I realized very early on that I would not be able to get all the prizes, so I adjusted my expectations. Goal was to get the cloud row which I did. After that I kept playing till the end to pick up what I could. Prizes in later levels were good, so if I hadn't been so busy in RL I would have made an effort to complete the event. It is good to have a challenge every now and again :D I like the way this was set up, not difficult to get the cloud row, then great prizes for the extra effort.

I did enjoy this event and managed to get the CR and the basic Salamander (been missing that one for ever!). :)

On the negative side, I don't particularly like events I can't "finish" but it was obvious early on that unless I threw a ton of BBs at it (that's just not going to happen) or managed to sleep and farm at the same time - also unlikely - I was going to have to content myself with this. So I wasn't (too) disappointed. :music:

Also, why should we have to mill? Can't we just donate the same amount of crops and drops to get the required item? Unnecessary use of an already over-used mill. My usual gripe ... 8)
    Love the mini-game even if I wasn't that lucky/good at it! :p

As usual, the graphics are great!
But also as usual the ratio for drops to crops is way off. I didn't care about the CR but ended up with it anyway. I was more interested in the prizes. I didn't even get half way through....drops too low!! Pondered spending real money to finish...but thought that when BP is willing to be sensible I will be willing to spend my money;)

I loved this event! :inlove: I like the game Yahtzee so this really appealed to me. The prizes were great with some fantastic ones available :D. However, to reach those really fantastic prizes it would involve not having to work in RL, farming 24/7, and spending a fair whack of RL money I would presume -.-. I rarely spend my BB's (which are a treat to me and I'm not able to purchase them that often) on events but I chose to this time as there was such a tempting selection of rewards. I did reach some of my goals but didn't quite make it to the quill workshop  and wasn't prepared to throw anymore RL money at just one event. I totally agree with former comments that although the latter prizes were great, they were also totally unobtainable to the average player. I appreciate that you are going to want to try and tempt those who can afford to spend a lot on the game but it caused something that appeared exciting at first (to try and go for said prizes), to change to extreme disappointment and a lot of hard feeling when the realisation hit home that these prizes were way out of most players reach :(.

There seems to be a theme in this thread that you had to spend RL money to complete this event.
I got all the rewards and filled the 'Yahtzee' board, with only the 6 flush missing. It took me 187 goes at the mini-game, and every 1x1 square (588.) was producing crops. (I even moved my owl trees to Baha)
I prepare for events like this by generating as much supergrow as possible with 8 mythic dragons and 20 XL Super Jumbo trees (earned loong ago).
So in about ten minutes of furiously growing instant carnations on 44 comfort fields, I was able to turn 1500 supergrow into 1500 drops , and I used 4 howie-donuts when harvesting to maximize drops.
It was very satisfying to finish with about two hours left to go, and I had more crops in for about three more mini-games that I didn't end up needing. (and I was only three minutes late for work, twice!xD)
So, thankyou, developers, for this challenging event, which, from previous failed attempts, I was able to learn how to prepare and get-it-done.

    Signed;
    8)Exhausted, but satisfied.

@davidb1yth007 , well done on getting so far with the event :D.

It's great to know that it can be achieved without spending RL money as myself and others presumed :). As I'm sure you'll appreciate though, some people are more restricted in game time than others due to RL commitments, nor do some people have those little extras such as Howie Donuts, Jumbo Trees or Mythic Dragons. I certainly never have anywhere near 1500 SG at any time even though I'm a long time player.

I think the rewards were so good that it just caused a little frustration that many could not get anywhere near them but, as is with all these events, we do what we can do, and get what we get in return. Your knowledge of how to get those crops and drops quickly (if you have those extras and refinements) is a helpful guidance to the rest of us though, and learning how to achieve our goals throughout the game is all a learning curve :).

I loved this event nonetheless and hope to see it back again, hopefully with the same standard of prizes :inlove:. Next time I may seek your advice on what I can do better to reach further through the levels :p.
