I'm only getting 4 crops on my 1x1's....or am I so used to using CAC that I've forgotten that it's normally only 2 (without CAC)??

What is the point of the Vampire Serum then if CAC does exactly the same? I've literally only just opened the Alchemist just so I could eventually make V.S

There are other good recipes in the Alchemist For instance silver flame incense (+1 on darklight firefly stables) and vial of growth (10% reduced growing time for baha trees) so it is not all that bad

 

CAC gives a yield of 4 on 1x1s on all fields - even MM fields. I know - it's the way I farm just about every day.

So, on the other farm, I bought the little special package AND got a 100% bonus on the party wheel...and so that farm has plenty of the crop for the event already - it's the drops that are the bug-a-boo.

This farm just had the +3 from the special package, but I figure I'll have plenty of event crop by the end of today. I'm trying to get the zombie sheep pen so will be growing what I need for that, so hoping that helps with drops. Plus I need about 100 more kitty fairies to open the last little section of the mushroom field. Those kitty fairies are a bit problematic because you have to have a lot of the creepy willow trees to make enough food for them. Although not as 'hungry' as those zombie sheep - they just gobble up those doll eye mushrooms.

I finished all my crop requirements yesterday. I nuked all my event crops with SG and with the +3 special package and SSG and CAC I was getting 10 crops with each harvest. Happy Dance
Now I will grow a bunch of long term crops and this weekend will be for the middle growth time and then I will start looking at Haunted Manor EP givers.

 

You perhaps mean "Terror bouquet", it's tricky to remember that it doesn't work on MM event crops

 

This post made me think. You are right and I will do the same, or even stop playing the event completely so I can focus on opening the Mushroom Forest. I haven't opened any space yet.

I still haven't understood what the factory upgrades do.

Edit: As I am trying to gather as many Dark queen's apples, Nightgleam orbs and Creepy willow leaves is there a buff to get more than 6(I always use SSG)?

 

Even though the other farm has plenty of event crop, I don't think I'm going to make it all the way to the end on either farm. The drops are just not forthcoming. Phooey. So I'll get what I can get and be happy. Kinda like the last MM event.

Arielh - the factory upgrades go on the new factory - which is a 2x2 giver that has to go on a regular play field not on the park (found that out when I bought it for the other farm). I suspect that the upgrades will just sit there until we buy the factory and place it. I hope so, because this farm isn't shelling out 500,000CCs for that eyesore like the other farm did only to find out it takes up space on a regular field. That's what I get for not reading the fine print.

 

Too bad there is no other buff in our inventory to boost the treefruits.

The only buffs that do the trick are the +100% and +200% harvest bonus which can be won on the farmwheels (or are given out by Fuzzles or in calendars)
+100% gives 4 (base) + 4 (bonus) + 2 (SSG) = 10 treefruits
+200% gives 4 (base) + 8 (bonus) + 2 (SSG) = 14 treefruits

 

habalala, thanks for the info for 100% and 200% on tree fruits. The info on that has always confused me, lol.

 

My Bat tower is finished... Completed step 8 (factory upgrade) of Graveyard, and step 6 of Motel.
The CR is not real impressive, but I would like to see all of the structures complete. If only to get rid of the scaffolding!
Still chasing that darn Drop Rat! I am up to 9264 Dusk Shadow and 8662 Glow Mold.

You have made a a mistake in your siggy .... using "Till". The correct word is Until, which probably should be shortened to "til"

If I get 258 drops for the next two days I'll be good to finish..(snicker) these drops are horrifying. Come on programers give it up on scaring the crap out of us trying to finish; 8 hour crop and 17 drops?

 

You should be fine saturnia your daily average so far is over 200 drops per day, so 258 more in two days is certainly doable.
