I am thoroughly and completely discombobulated with this event as it has brought me to a level of chagrin I have never felt in this game before now. I mean, did we Ever have a chance of success?
I had achieved the cloud row, and just fed 23 more otterdiny thingys hoping to get some lamps. I got four.
Not even enough to get one djinn bear. I am totally Flamboozilated. I would get more genies rubbing a milk bottle.
I am off to play cards.
    Solitaire.

    Exciting... not.
Well, at least I will have a chance to succeed. :wuerg::cry:>:(:mad:o_O

ssoooooo has there been an error in planning this event? its just not working for me at all. i have got the cloud row and givers but how do we make anything to speed up the lamps to feed the bear genies? even with plentiful gifts from neighbours I am nowhere near getting the first farm factory upgrade with 24 hours to go. Did someone forget to tell us how to make the magic lamps?. total disappointment thinking I could work hard and get the farmhouse factory upgrades when there is no way to do so. i have all my highest EP stables and workshops out with extra trees and planted my highest EP crops overnight to no avail.. not enough needles either!

The drop rate is ridiculous! I only got 1 yesterday from 2 fields of trees. I was lucky enough this morning to get 4. So not even 1 turn in in 2 days of harvesting trees. This is the worst event ever.

Not a hope of getting Factory update for high level players working hard . Beyond disappointing

Totally agree with this, and like others have said the choice of different crop times to suit the player is great but the differential between requirements was unfair!

    Bummer!!
Great graphics, thanks to the team. Funny animation!! The Bear looked like a real genie coming out of the bottle, thanks to that team. Would have been fun to see the Otter fly away on the carpet. :p That is all the good stuff. 8)

Have you reached your goal yet?!!?? Have you sussed out all the disposable income?!!?? 5 BB for a gift over and above the 5 or 7 available gifts, (I know RARE)... Please consider giving your customers a week to with NO events, to prepare for what is coming next!!!!!

The following is a quote from the DE forum admin about the ridiculously low drop rate for magic lamps (as translated by Google Translate): (Thank you zerodegrees.)

Moin Together, the feedback and also the criticism of this mechanics are passed on, but nothing will be changed, that is the statement from Hamburg. According to game design, it is possible to earn the upgrades, the first relatively easy and the second one requires some effort. Through the bench, we are currently in the mod team between 18 and 25 gifted jinn bears, and that should probably be as the stand with the players. There are still 71 hours of time in the event and thus lt. Hamburg still enough time until the 2nd Upgrade. Whether we like this way of playing well, that is another story - but purely mathematically it is possible according to Hamburg and therefore nothing will be changed there.

I too love the choice of crop time. I would have loved some 15-16h crops so that I only had to harvest twice a day.

    However...
    Frustrating event.

I live on the wrong side of the planet so I always get a late start on events. I also have to finish up early since getting up in the middle of the night to finish an event is unacceptable and uncertain since I can't hear any alarm. That means I always miss out on at least 12h of every event. Makes events like this a lot less enjoyable that I get cheated out of so much event time or sleep time. Not a fair choice for some of us. It would be nice if you would let us choose our start time.

I got the cloud row without any difficulty. I was only able to get to the first milestone of the "It's Raining Gold" giver from D-bear. No factory upgrades for me. I could have only gone farther if I had bought baskets. I can barely justify buying Farm Machinery. No baskets for me. That stinks that the rare drops were so very rare. This really sucked some of the fun out of the event.

I did the cloud row with no difficulty and continued doing 1 field with white cactus to get oil lamps from the gifts when turningin carpets. The other 2 fields have been in trees and factories to get oil lamp drops. With all that, I have been farming 16+ hours a day and have 17 turn ins for the genie. A very long way from 42 with just over 8 hours left in the event.

I love the design of the crop and the little otter and bear. I love the 2 different quests lines to go for different items. I just hate the implementation of the oil lamp drop. If someone buys lamps or baskets, it will maybe be doable, but through hard work every day, it is impossible.

My event experience, in case it be of interest to someone:

I grew event crops on two fields, took me around 30 hours to grow enough. After that I switched the two fields to stalls with trees along the edges. Third field was stables/trees for the duration.

From my farm I got 113 magic lamp. That's drops from trees/stables + the lamps I got from Otterdin (only gave him the 58 required carpets).

In theory I could have finished the event with those drops, if I had gotten 20 gifts a day from neighbors and friends. There is no reason however that I should get so many gifts, when I only have 7 to send out myself. So in reality, with the gifts I got, I would have reached the first upgrade, but not much more.

I finished the event only by starting new farms and buying neighbor gifts to send from them with the free BBs. I don't think that's a good way to play an event, but then again it was not a good event to play :sleepy:

The goals of this game are long term. 100's of FSQ, animals, workshops, breeding, trees, crops, ep givers, cloud rows, The Artisans Village, The Tree, Baha, Moonlight, etc. As a long term player I should be able to reap some extra rewards after a few years of commitment. It is absolutely infuriating, insulting and disappointing that I could not even get ONE of the rewards from the Djinn (6 Magic Lamps short). Sure, I finished the Otters. They were actually more generous than my neighbors and the drops from my fields combined. Once again you have sullied a much loved style of event for me. (I miss you Monkey Queen)
