So, we are able to get drops from breeding, but Baby Boom & co. ends the second The mystery of herbs begins? That's...unfortunate :sleepy:

Positive: Just donated my first crops to the event and my initial impression is that I like the way this event is set up. I especially like that the milled items do not require event crops. Previous events usually had event crops in inventory but waiting on drops to mill -- this one you either have the drop items or you don't.

Negative: The set up doesn't easily show you how many of each event crop is still required to finish. Not a problem in the beginning but after halfway point will we be wasting our time growing unnecessary crops because it is random what seeds the crates provide? At least players can sell them in the market.

Will have to wait and see if my initial impression holds true to the end.

I like that this is different. I love that we can continue to farm as we like for much of this event, so long as we utilize the elements that give us the two different drops, ie, we need to grow trees, stables and crops. I personally like being required to keep some trees and stables out, although I know a lot would disagree with me. I like that we mill things that are from drops, not event crops. I like the gifts of the +harvest for event crops, and I like that it makes us have to strategize to maximize our rewards. I like the recent trend of having an icon at the top of every involved field granting access to the event, and also that that icon is nearly always really cute. I love the prizes in this event. I love the recent trend of giving newer pens, and lots of mystery trees and stables. As always, I love the graphics. I like that this is a totally different style than anything we have done before, yet involves parts that are the same, like the treasure hunt mechanism.

I like that the drop rate appears to be allowing for timely finishing. I do not like that the structure of the event is such that we are better off to wait, but the drop rate may not allow for this, if one does not have extra time on the last day of the event. The reason I am my own boss is that I do not deal well with being told what to do, and this event is telling me what to do, and I don't care for it. I have extra time on Fridays and Sundays, and usually, I can farm accordingly. I may not have the time on Monday to do what would maximize my results, and I find that annoying, that I will have to sacrifice my crop bonuses, because of the drops. There should be ample time allowed to finish, with a little padding at the end. This game is rapidly becoming far more demanding than my job, in terms of schedules, and considering that I oversee the lives of fifteen large animals and coordinate 40 humans, that is saying something. Please stop making everything in this game about the drops!!!

I do not like that it appears that it might be touch and go to get enough of certain crops. Randomness is not our friend in this game. I am not sure how I feel about the ability to sell event crops in the market - it seems like a nice way to let players who don't want to do the event, still benefit from the event, but it introduces a level of unfairness with benefit to those who either can sit all day at the keyboard or who have loads of CCs. I want to see events that further level the field, not ones that make the split greater.

I am fortunate that my life usually allows me to have access to the game whenever I want to, although I did have to purchase some equipment to make that happen, and there are parts in my workday where I simply cannot, but for the most part I can do as I please, seeing that I am my own boss and make the rules. I do not know how people complete events if they have normal jobs, which frown upon playing games at work, and if they have children with activities, or activities of their own that consume the early evening hours. I would like to see this game return to being more friendly to people with lives, allowing those of us with more flexibility the chance to finish early, but still making it possible for normal people to feel that they have a shot. As I have been playing this game nearly since its inception, I believe that those in power read the forums and saw that a large number of posters were finishing before the halfway point, and decided to make things tougher. But what those decision makers failed to take into consideration is the fact that by and large, those who post in the forum are usually also those who have the ability to play more, and they represent, in reality, only a fraction of the players.

Best event in a long time :inlove:

Nice twist distinguishing between seeds and harvested crops. Together with the bonuses that made it possible to device different successful strategies for the event. Prizes were awesome. Both the cloud rows and prizes along the way. Event crops on the market was a nice touch too.

Absolutely love that most of the event time could be dedicated to growing regular crops, fruits and raising animals that I need for my other farming goals! :D

I love the structure, but for me, Sunday is the last day when I can spend my time farming, so the event crop growing needs to be done today. No way I could get all the bonuses this quickly... Would have been nicer if the event lasted from Monday to Monday. That said, I still enjoy the event and happily waste more supergrow and susygrow on the plants. Lovely to have a "full moon" now when it isn't in real life :D I only need one CAC for the two events.

And from a herb reward of two Crate o Stars, I repeat from opening TWO crates, I got 60 stars. Whoa :D

I absolutely love that I can still spend my time on regular crops and animals. It's so nice to not have to rip up the whole farm or drop everything I'm doing just to participate :D

Hurray for an event where requirements vs rewards are balanced in a positive way.

I too like the new twist where drops are needed to get (non replantable) seeds. Happy that during this events the drop rate was fair; once we figured out the best farming way to get them the event seemed possible to finish by many.

Also nice to see the mini event became less predictable as the previous version. The only complaint I can come up with is the time it took to find the crates in 2 turns. Quite some determination was needed :)

I have mixed feelings about the event crops being available on the market. It's nice to be able to sell excess crops for more as the conversion rate and it also makes it possible for those just short of crops to finish the event. But .. it also allows players not to participate in the event and simply to buy the event rewards with just CCs. Feels somewhat unfair to those who put a real effort into it.

My only serious issue which bothered me throughout the event is the randomness of the number and variation of seeds given out. That part makes it hard to know when and where in the event a player has gathered enough drops and/or enough greenhouses to secure success (get enough seeds to grow enough event plant for all event plant donations). Uncertainty in game play due to randomness never has proven to be a good way to satisfy the majority of players.

Anyways, thanks for this event. It provided good fun and that's the only thing what Farmerama should be all about all the time.

Drops are horrible and herb plants are not enough.

Even WITH giving in and spending money on a huge package I am NOWHERE NEAR finishing. So sick of the impossible goals. Nice set up that keeps it interesting. But once again ~edit~ leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Not going to finish this one and not happy with the random seed provision and the inability to use grown crops to reseed. Even if some portion of harvested crops were allowed to be replanted, this would have been a better idea.

As it is, seeds are completely random and even though I have plenty of some kinds of herbs, I am stuck well short of the finish line because I am particularly short of one type.

I'm not sure how those who had such positive comments above were able to finish as I pretty much worked on the event the whole time and spent both BBs and real money but I'm done; I'm learning to live with less and spend less with every event.

In case you really are interested, here is how I finished the event using less than 400 SG and no SSG.

I liked the different approach with this event though I did find the treasure hunt became a little boring.

I am not as good at strategy as some and just muddle on through tending to think that if I put in the time, use SG, SSG and CAC, I should come close - not so. :(

There were not enough of the Valley Rose seeds - I know some farmers did finish and I congratulate them - but the randomness in which seeds we get in the Crates of Herbs meant some of us fell very short some herbs. It would have been preferable if the Crates gave a fixed amount of each herb so we had some chance to calculate what we needed to do. o_O

But, despite my moans (and sadly recent events have had that effect) I think this type of event is a welcome change from growing copious amounts of the same crop, donating and repeating, while catching any drops that come our way! :music:

i didn't like it. had too much trouble getting seeds to plant. i figured out that the animal houses dropped glass, but that didn't help much. i like it when i can grow seeds, harvest, and replant from the seeds harvested. this way i couldn't get any crops harvested. and the market would have been a good idea, but apparently nobody could get enough extra crops to sell. i hope there aren't many more like this one:sleepy:

I hated this quest so much worked so hard did not come close to finishing it at all. never could get enough of some seeds this was way to hard.
I love the overall concept for this quest new mechanic and could buy the crop at the market, But was not enough time to finish this. I would need at least 3 more days for this. That is just a guess could take 5 days idk. It just required way to much.

I started late on this event so I wasn't able to finish but I got 2 CRs.

I would have preferred to see the +2 and +3's around the midway point. I would not want to run out of time trying to harvest event crops because I held onto them to long so that I could advantage of the bonuses.

Some mistakes were make because this was a new type event so if there are future events like this players ability should improve as they would know what to expect.

I was able to sell my excess events crops at the end of the event but it was pretty much impossible to purchase any during the event. Most times the crops were sold as soon as they were listed in the market.

The event allowed me to get some crops donated to my quests.

I agree, it wasn't the best event, but I enjoyed it! :)
Really liked that I could fill my barn with animals and crops and then could mill the drops to play the mini-game!
The seed-growing was ok too, but the RANDOMness was NOT!
I got lucky and managed to buy the missing roses in my market (in return, I put up every excess crops too!), so I managed to snag the second cr!
So, not all bad... but the idea needs a little work. ;)

I like the different event style but hate seed randomness. Insta finish prizes need to be replacd with coupons for those of us who forget our morning coffee. I did finish but only because I’m not at work
