A thread for chatting about big and small things related to our farms :)

I just realised I must have totally missed MM last weekend o_O

We had a MM earlier this month, but I thought there would be another one towards the end. I went to the preview calendar and saw that, yes there was a MM scheduled for last weekend. Weird that that didn't happen, I thought. Went to event announcements to check, hmm it was announced. Could I have forgotten that I participated in MM last weekend? Checked my inventory and the grave candle tree I traded last G&T was still there. Could I have forgotten to put it out? No, I think the most likely conclusion is that I didn't notice at all that it was on  soooo many things happening on the farm these days :wuerg: well even if I didn't participate it was the spookiest MM I can/can't remember xD

I feel your pain! I usually miss great events like MM and G&T. And it's very irritating. I haven't participated in G&T event since 2016 (I had an 1.5 year hiatus) !!! It's like Bigpoint airs this event the time I am too busy to participate...

The thing is, I wasn't too busy. I was on the farm, but must not have realized that MM was happening xD

You're right, Mir - too many things going on down on the Farm...it's hard to keep up with it all...especially when one also has a Real Life to keep up with as well!!
I've also missed at least one MM, and missed the G&T before this last one too, Greek-Guy - and was really looking forward to it. (This last G&T really made up for it, though!!:inlove::D)

I :inlove: this game and enjoy building my farm, but it bothers me to have to keep destroying it all the time to do so many events, even though I pick and choose now! Has it always been this way?? Wouldn't it be nice if we had time to enjoy doing b-o-t-h - without the pressure and destruction that is almost mandatory to be successful with events?:music::) Or is it because I'm still fairly new (since March this year) and do not have enough of a farm /barn built up? It kinda hurts to keep wiping out most of my fields to do events.....:(......but I like to do events, too! (Stressssssssssssssss...what to do!!)

Oh, well - I appreciate all the good/fun things, 'down on the Farm' - especially this great farming community!!:inlove::D:);)And I love hearing about how/what everyone is doing/thinking!!
    Great thread idea, Mir!!:D:inlove:

It wasn't always like this no xD when I started in 2013 we usually had two crop growing events a month with plenty of event free days in between. Even mini events was a big deal back then, with people planning how to make best use of mega ep day, happy stable day etc.. But, events were also much more boring and with little variation, like the most basic events we have now, no mini games for instance. Prizes were also not that good. I remember how excited we were the first time we could win wonder stables in an event. Before that they only way to get them was to buy them with BB. Now they are rewarded so frequently that I haven't bought any for years.

The way I organize my farm to cope with events: The magical glade and crystal falls are non-event fields for me. There I put the stables and trees that I most want to have out, and I hardly ever tear them up for events (maybe once or twice a year). The other fields are mainly crop fields for me, so when an event comes around they are ready. Sometimes I have stalls with trees around the edges, then it is usually the whole field filled with one type of stable. Putting out different stables with different times is too much bother for me, I like the field to be ready at the same time. I find crops easier and more flexible so that's usually what I grow. With 1x1, CAC and harvest machinery I can finish most events without growing event crops on magical glade or crystal falls, so the setup works fine for me, but I would be interested to hear how others organize their farms :)

At least we have a MM field of its own now - MM used to be on the main first field which is why I rarely did it.
The daily gift used to be where the Event Field is now and when it was introduced I thought that all events would be on that field. Silly me!
I must admit I prefer the grow and throw events, some of the mini games take so long and get boring, plus I am not very good at some of them and my internet connection is so sloooow (1.5 if we are lucky) that aiming games are a no-no.
The good thing is that everything comes round more often so if I miss one event there is always another following on close behind.
I still love this game and am content to do what I can and know I will never do, or get, everything.

Not alone, I noticed it with an hour to spare so I managed to harvest those killer tomatoes I had accidently left there with some 8h crop. Never know if BP will toss in a MM event before Halloween (Which I never remember when it is)

It's been really hectic RL time for me, so farming has just been stress. That's when I realize I love those grow& throw events. Don't need to figure out what to grow, it's all been decided for me, just log in, ripe what I sow and plant again. Glade and the falls are usually filled with stables and feed-trees on the edges. But when I am short on farm-time I have no problem ripping the stables out.

@Moraine Hope RL slows down a bit so you get to enjoy your farm again :pxD

Congrats pnp. Its sure is a long time. I suppose now we have all become old in Farmerama. No longer young...sigh.... :pxD

-Mir85-, I too missed it. I was on the farm but missed it. Just got note of it only during the end few hours. So harvested the already planted 8 hrs crop & put another 8 hrs crop and finished the event. I thought myself dumb not to have noticed the event. But seems I have company too. :DxD:p
