After the fiasco of the cancellation of the carnival queen, you now offer a much less attractive version, with a late announcement

In genereal I like to give everyone the benefit of doubt, but the story of technical problem is looking less likely. Previous version we didn't have to grow event crops for the mini games, and the drops came from the main land where we could use instant crops to generate them. Is that the real reason for canceling? Someone realized too late that players could get a lot of prizes? If so, it is both embarrassing that you don't know your own game better, and dishonest to cancel due to "technical problems". If not, why make these changes?

I'm quick to forgive an honest mistake, but this stinks a long way. I'm really disappointed

 

You can take Mir's opinion to be mine too. Why such drastic change ? That too after introducing & allowing th event to go on live & then cancelling it for some lame reason, when the players who have unlocked amaranth crops are just a few & you took necessary precautions for it. And this one is not at all like the one introduced. Atleast the required mill components might have been less.

And since this event is not in the event preview, at least it might have announced a day before - Saturday, for us to prepare the fields drop.

And what about fresh players who have not unlocked Bahamarama ?

 

I agree with the above and would also like to add that the event should go over a weekend as weekdays to accomodate all working lives.

 

I agree with Mir and Onetwo.
I normally look forward eagerly to The Carnival Queen event but not this time.
I'm still doing the Mysterious Maze and planting crops for that. The mini games are very time consuming.

As for the Carnival Queen, late announcement, 5 hour crop, 2 drops, 3 if you include the paint, 2 mill products.

BP has completely ruined this event Why are you so greedy. I have no interest in doing the event this year. I think I will soon have no interest in playing Farmerama at all.

I didn't even notice at first that the rewards from the parade have been reduced:

• 100 EP x Farm level reduced to 70 EP x Farm level
• 50 TEP x Baha level reduced to 45 TEP x Baha level
• 2 x Power-feed reduced to 1 x Power-feed
• 4 x Super-grow reduced to 1 x Super-grow
• 2 x Suzy's Super-grow reduced to 1 x Suzy's Super-grow
• 2 x Suzy's turbo-mulch reduced to 1 x Suzy's turbo-mulch
• 2 x Farm Coins reduced to 1 x Farm Coin

The 35 CC x Farm level, the crates and the 1 x Golden Banana stays the same.

Increase requirements, decrease rewards

 

Not that long ago events where created to give players a break from regular farming. Events were something different. By now regular farming has become the rare and different thing to be able to do.
Due to promises made to the players and an event calendar filled to the max for the next months, this particular event had to fit in somewhere. I bet, to do so the Game Team did another quick overhaul and revamp, ignoring any and all complaints, just to be done with it. I have my fingers crossed there will be no critical or technical difficulties (sigh) this time around. Time will tell.

Another downgrade of this event is no surprise. The Game Team ruined the 2nd edition and didn't make any improvements on the follow ups.

Being disappointed prior to the start of an once great event is no good.

 

All of the complaints are coming from your long time players, your dedicated players, and for the most part, people who spend real money on this game because we love it. We have repeatedly asked for: breaks between events; only one drop item, so we can easily gift our neighbors; no milling; and time to prepare. In this event we are 0 for 4. The game team is not listening to the players at all. Frustration is at an all time high. Over the last few months, the vast majority of events have had time consuming mini-games, thus adding to the time we must spend playing. PLEASE listen to your players and stop doing all the things we are asking you not to do! You've got deeply committed players talking about quitting the game; the level of discontent has reached an alarming apex. We are not your casual players whinging that the game is too demanding - we are your best revenue source telling you the current state of affairs is unacceptable.

 

At this point not only am I disgusted with the handling of this Carnival Queen event, but also with the Game team for apparently
not caring about ALL the requests to have breaks in between events! Mir85, matselleste, and others have written great posts that time and time again you ignore! We got almost no time to prepare for this event that in its original form we all loved! We are in the middle of the Mysterious Maze event which is fun BUT the mini game is very time consuming, we are doing the cursed coins, and our MM fields,
now you want us to rip up Baha and start yet another event!? Well it pains me to say this but I am considering sitting this one out!
I am sure you will not lose any sleep over my personal decision!

 

I agree with all the above Feedback.
I have become an Event junkie, but this may be the last straw! None of the rewards offered are worth raising my stress level, more.
But maybe this is the plan. You obviously felt the original Monkey Queen was too generous.
By downgrading the event and the prizes offered, farmers stop participating and you can justify never having the event again.
Thanks to this months Event calendar, my Farmarama Event Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is loosing it's hold on me!
Please bring back the original, good, fun, generous Carnival Queen...

 

Will be the first event I won't even bother to try. No fun, few goodies = no reason. But for a fresh farmer it might still be worth it.

I'm more in line with the first post of -Mir85-.

In any case, I may try to go for some crates, but also depending on my mood tomorrow I may also skip this event completely.
Currently I'm more inclined to skip the event.
We are running one event with 4 and 6 hour plants and now we are introduced with 5 hour plants on the island?
This is either not planned well at all or planned too well.

 

At this point I'm starting to think you don't actually bother reading these, you're just creating feedback threads as an alternative to the long-gone Steam Room that many of us appreciated in years gone by. This is a glorified place for us to vent our frustrations, under the impression that you actually care and intend to act upon our concerns. The reality is, I can't think of a time where I've seen a major, common concern addressed and fixed in future events. Time and time again - every event, really - we complain you are greedy. Every time a new event comes out, you get greedier.

 

Having so much apprecation for the long time players with their experience on how to play the game, the amount I have learned from them in their game stratergy and confidence to keep going at an event. For YOU BP to really annoy them in this upcoming event is so disgraceful and disrespectful to them who after all their years of playing have made this game into why we use to enjoy playing.

We have 3 events ongoing at the moment which I have gave up on doing as it is so much to do, now you add another what used to be so loved for us to try...I am not even going to attempt. You add another 2 gifts to make 3 that we have to choose to give to our neighbours....how long have we been asking for you not to do this.
The last 3 days all I have done is grow plants to add to the tens of thousands which I have and really dont need, usually I complete a couple of FSQs at the end of an event but Ive become so disillutioned with the game Im on the verge of giving up.

All the hard work you have done since the last time you tried to hack off your PAYING customers to make it even worse really shows what you are all about.
When you have experienced players so annoyed then there is something wrong or do you not care at all.

Some advice SORT it out or you will have no customers left

I agree with the comments posted so far and I have been a player for a very long time. lets take a look at this shall we? the game is supposed to be fun and pleasurable? However at present we have the lantern event running, we also have moonlight mania as well as remembering to click on the sheep calendar and also for our coins? This is just madness. As many players have mentioned before on numerous threads, we need a break between events to carry out our normal farming activites and complete tasks in the Farmers Society. I, for one, do not want the stress associated with numerous mini games and events running at the same time, I also cant spare the time. I know we can choose not to do events, which I will do with this one, but I think you need to listen to your players.. Maybe chill out a bit? lol

 

I agree with all the feedback from the long time players. Come on BP, give it a serious thought. A lot of people are registering their complaints/protest. About time.

 

Now there is no booking of a free candy net to try the game at the start. Why on earth not?! We always get one free attempt at the mini game. Always. You've already taken away enough of the prizes, why this too? What about the low-level players who aren't going to be able to participate as much?

Should I even be surprised?

 

This will be the first time in four years that I don't participate in an event. The rewards aren't worth it (especially since they were down-graded to a Scrooge-like level), it's too time-consuming when paired with the other two mini-game requirements, and BP is clearly not listening to their veteran, paying players. Nope, the only way to make them listen is to start boycotting.

I am quite the new kid on the block. I am wondering whatever has happened to beta testing? Not sure if this game can handle that?
