Simple event breed reindeer and deposit.

Reindeer needed for depositing in the event.

Reindeer: 150
Elf reindeer: 24
Gift reindeer: 18
Postal reindeer: 9
Angel reindeer: 3

There is a chance to receive a Cake Voucher when breeding which can be used in Piece of Cake Event.

Previous Coloured Reindeer from 2015 Year Event can be used in this event. After the event the Coloured Reindeer will be exchanged and will be taken off our barn. So no point in breeding them in excess of the amount.

Thanks OneTwo, I have all reindeer needed except for 4 Postal and 2 Angels. These are from previous Reindeer events. BP have got wise to that and are removing all old breedings after this event.

 

My stock of barn is :
Reindeer: 921
Elf reindeer: 7
Gift reindeer: 6
Postal reindeer: 1
Angel reindeer: 0

So, I need to think :
Do this event to get those reward is worth or not?

Since all excess breeding will be convert, so players must be carefuly in breeding.
Lucky We had a long weekend BBD.
I will first make 40 motel see how the result of breeding on BBD. If I could get some good skip
like Angel reindeer, I will consider do whole. otherwise I may just do partial.

 

Thanks 12 for starting thread.....BUT for players like me who wasnt around years ago and are not fortunate to have any reindeer breed from previous event are at a major disadvantage as we are going to need more than your figures suggest.
I think for those who have to breed will have to hope skip guy is asleep and has left button on high skips

I will sit on fence as to what to do seeing that BB is on for a welcome longer amount of time

 

I am out of this one, as it's for me only another money making machine to sell PF.
And as I wasn't playing in 2015 with the old event, I don't have anything old from then and would have to breed from scratch.
How stupid is BP thinking we are?

both farms way short on reindeer...thinking I'm sitting this one out.

 

the prizes was to pricey. Sticking to my strategy: If nothing new, have a sure skip and do not participate.

Thanks OneTwo, for the kickoff. I'll be sitting on the fence, revisiting my previous plans. Perhaps, making a new strategy to join @farmer_broke and selling reindeers, pink jelly, etc.

Thank You 12ss12. I think I will do this one. The reason is that I put out the reindeer for my Holiday decorations, and I now have 550 of them. I'm not sure if it is enough, but will give it a go. Good Luck Everyone with whatever you do. Maybe next year they will let us keep the Angel. Yikes...we have fake reindeer.

 

I'm all in...b/c its a breeding event...my fave!!!!
I'm a bit confused why we are having a reindeer breeding event now? They even have a reindeer delivering presents. Hey BP.......Christmas is over!!! LOL
The other aspect I'm not thrilled with is.....why is this a "fake" breeding animal? We have reindeer(even colored pens)as permenant animals on our farms...so why not let us breed them all year? Or at least in the fall and winter....when the rut actually occurs (thanks to BohoKaren and her fabulous herd...I now know this). We could have had a reindeer breeding bonanza ...with the top one being rudolph or the Angel reindeer before Christmas!!!

I guess we are not breeding anacondas during this BBD? Are we to have another BBD this month?

 

Well I think I have to do this one just on principle as I have r/l babies on the way too BUT I get to keep those.

 

Just thinking about you. I added a new reindeer to my virtual herd and named her BoHo. BoHo's friends here are being sold off but never ever will BoHo leave the farm. Best wishes with the event and your reindeer in RL.

I'm in ... just because it is not too time consuming and I can do it with my limited computer time. Will be very busy this month so any event that doesn't require a lot of growing, milling, throwing and thinking is fine with me! Also, like Brooke, I love breeding events so it is just too hard to skip (hope that the skips don't miss me!).

I have a few breeding reindeer left and a good supply of base reindeer though not much PF. Maybe I can do enough breeding with the PF that we get as prizes in the last level. Plus we get cake vouchers as prizes so it can't be bad.

If the next breeding event is Anacondas, I haven't got the same sort of levels of base animal and PF will probably be a problem so I am doing this one in case I can't do the other one.

@farmer_broke, I am happy dancing that you have named a reindeer after BoHoKaren! She is such a real life wonderful
reindeer farmer! I just know BoHo is just going to love being on your farm!
I am also doing this event, good luck to us all and I hope the skips are just what we need to get the quest done!

 

I am not participating in this one (as already said yesterday)

But for everybody, who IS participating, it could be interesting to know, that the exchange value after the event is only half of the exchange value while the event is running.
It would also be interesting to know, if any kind of bred reindeer can be donated to the manufactory, arboretum, menagerie and living legend quests, where animals/breeding animals are required.
If this is the case, bred reindeers you have more than needed for the flurry quest, could/should be donated into the above quests BEFORE the flurry event ends, to avail of the higher exchange value than it would be after event ends.

Does it make sense or am I completely on the wrong path here?

EDIT: Just tried it with one breeding, got an elf and a gift reindeer. Both could be donated to the baha menagerie quest requesting animals.

 

My barn shows elf reindeer having a 2600 donation value while the exchange value per FAQ is 3900 EP + 1300 CC.
Gift reindeer donation value 7200 while exchange is 10800 EP + 3600 CC.

For me, this would mean it would be better to let them be exchanged. I'm trying my best to minimize how many I have left. I would love for reindeer to become an official breeding animal, or at least allow us to keep them for any future breeding events, which would be most exciting during December

 

What will happen with the left over event items after the event?
All the leftover goods will be exchanged after the event:

• 1 Elf reindeer = 3900 EP + 1300 CC;
• 1 Gift reindeer = 10800 EP + 3600 CC;
• 1 Postal reindeer = 36000 EP + 12000 CC;
• 1 Angel reindeer = 111000 EP + 37000 CC.

What good would a skip do me?

 

I must say for me I am breeding just to "play to game" and do the Quest that goes with it. I NEVER look at the EV or what I may or may not get after the event! Unless I can then go sell extras on the market! lol Like pnp I too hope they will at some point let them become an official breeding animal! Good luck, and have fun, this is a game after all!

 

I love all things during the holiday season building up to Christmas and Reindeer breeding would be so much fun. I'm glad I could amuse you today

2nd farm: had no reindeer breeding stock leftover from previous breeding event so had to start from the beginning....

I used 420 reindeer and 80 elf reindeer with a total of 250 PF. I have all I need to donate to finish the quest.

Pnp: had in stock 41 elf and 4 gift to use prior to any breeding. Sadly, 2nd farm always does better than pnp and I still cannot get an angel reindeer. No skips. Have to 'breed upwards'.

Edit: 2nd farm likely could have done with much less reindeer and PF as it has 43 elf, 36 gift and 1 postal reindeer left.

Pnp still struggles to get the first angel. Am up to breeding gift reindeer to finish postal requirements and hope to get an angel.
