Despite having anaconda stalls for some time now, I can't even start this event because I don't have the bananas or coins to get the breeding opened and there doesn't seem to be any way I can purchase this. The pack just sells a terrarium and anancondas. So it's a disappointment for me.

Question...With everyone waiting eagerly to have Anaconda Breeding, and when it finally arrives on the farm, BP or the "people
calling the shots" decide to have a Farm-Coin-A-Palooza instead of a Baby Boom!! What are you thinking????
Why with the "Temple of Serpents" would we want to only get 1 anaconda with each breeding and a coin?? For what!! I don't need more coins at the moment I need more anaconda to play the event! Someone there needs to get their act together and help us play this game properly!;)

No baby boomer, when anaconda breeding starts? Not even later today? There is no announcement of one. So presumably there will be only one BBD at the weekend.
What are you actually dreaming at night?
New ways to annoy your players?
    New ways of making money?
Looks like, as if BP needs it desperately.

hmm...okay so... not with me any more.!

Oh and don't count me into the "new" farm game.

And to be on topic: There is NOTHING good to be said about this event!

I have long understood the rationale behind not having a Baby Boom at the start of breeding events, but I still think it stinks. I have been looking forward to this because, unlike many, I like snakes. I think the practice of having to unlock things in the Temple for breeding is absurd. We don't have to do that with the mainland breeding. It's unfair and penalizes certain players. I have over 1600 bananas so for me, it was no big deal - but many players do not. Again I have to ask, do the people who design this game even play it?

    I know......right?

I wish you would share why
BP doesn't have a BBD at the start of breeding events? To have to wait 48 hours to begin breeding.....torture!:wuerg:>:(

Oh my gosh....I fully understand your frustration....but your comment/question made me laugh hystericallyxDxDxDbecause I wonder and ask that same question every time I participate in events-.-

@Brookeham - they make us wait, because the theory is, that with less time to complete the activity, and all the advance anticipation leading up to it, statistically people are more likely to spend money to achieve the goal. When I was in Business School, back in the Dark Ages, we actually spent a whole week of class on just this phenomenon. There is actual math that predicts the optimum time to make people wait. I remember my professor called it professional sadism. No one that I"ve ever met has anything good to say about it - but it is proven to work. Unfortunately for us :-(

To keep this on topic, my shed has been waiting with 100 breedings since 4 hours after Anacondas became availability. I am in the minority, in that I actually like snakes, in fact the snake is one of my totems, and I have awaited this event for a long time. However- I"m not buying anything lol. Well, except I'll get some BBs tomorrow because I spent my last ones trying to get a Zebra.

-matselleste- Thank you for your explanation. ;) I've never heard of "professional sadism". o_O How dark is that? I actually think in this instance, BP would do just fine with having a 5 day BBD and pf sale when a new breeding animal is released. Some people work on weekends and this is an international game.....so more time available to breed would be a win for everyone!:music:

I have finally been able to harvest my anaconda breeding stables....not a huge skip in the bunch.:sleepy:

I completely agree Brookeham! There are countless ways in which BP would benefit from a little common sense.

I totally love this event. The new snakes are great, I always enjoy backgrounds that change as we complete tasks - and I got a Thinker from plain snakes!!!

In real life I am extremely scared of snakes - even something that might be a snake (a garden hose, a shoe lace) has me in my Flight or Fight mode (and it would only ever be Flight!). I don't particularly dislike virtual Anacondas but I do hate that they need my little chicks and bunnies to feed. That's my reason for not liking to put out my pens. :p

Back to topic. I did finish this event with little preparation. I forgot to wait for BB but in my defense I am a little preoccupied at the moment. I didn't have very good jumps but it looks like there weren't many when BB started anyway. The requirements for the event were okay - especially for those who took note of the rumours and saved up their wriggly friends! :music:

On a negative side, I don't like the fact that there are three events that give prizes that are needed for the Viking Axe Throwing Queen - I love that event and I will be very disappointed if I am unable to complete it due to being unable to complete another event! -.-

Please listen to other farmers - when there is a breeding event - especially if a new breeding animal is being introduced - BB and PF sale should start at the same time. This will give ALL players the same chance to participate in events and BP might make a little extra income from that! Look at the negative feedback - I don't remember ever reading someone say that they LIKE waiting for BB to start before participating in an event and that they are more likely to SPEND if they are kept waiting (despite professional sadism lol!)! :(

I wonder if you could elaborate on that a bit and mention a few of those countless ways so that they can learn something from your insight into the benefits of common sense. :) Thank you.

nortonc, I have put my advice into every single feedback thread for the past two years. For the most part they have not listened. There seems to be no understanding of all the basic tenets of economic industry, starting with the fact that happy players will spend more money, whereas those coerced into spending will simply quit and take their money elsewhere, on to the fact that inclusivity builds goodwill where exclusivity creates bad feelings, which also results in mass exodus of players. And I do believe there are areas in which the developers of the game, and those in charge, have listened to the players - in the beginning, it was almost unheard of to receive mystery trees or stables as gifts, nor did we ever get treats like pink pens. In fact, pink pens weren't even in the original mystery stables as an option. So, I do believe some heed is paid. But the constant influx of new content leaves players feeling as if they cannot get anywhere, no matter how hard they play, and I don't understand why THAT isn't taken into account. If, for example, we ran events exclusively on the event field, there could be the constant stream of events, that keeps a lot of players happy, while allowing normal game progress at the same time. The mechanism is there - and yet has not been taken advantage of. Why? I'd be happy to come give a seminar on running a business, lol, if they'd just fly me there :) I have run my own business for twenty years, in an arena where economic shifts have a huge effect, because mine is a recreation-based industry, and therefore, when times get tight, the first thing that gets cut is little Susie's horseback riding lessons. I've learned a great deal about how to balance the needs of the company with the needs of the customer, and all around me people in the same business as me are closing their doors, while I am literally turning people away because I don't have time for them. By the same token, rural America should be paying people to maintain farmable acreage, instead of taxing it at such a high rate that it is forced to be sold for more houses, for more people, that we then cannot feed. So it's not just BP that needs my seminars lol.
