Ok, my point of view, before the event even started:
    a) the amount of event plants needed is just ridicoulous!
    b) 5hour crop - Is BP never thining of people working with no access to the game? Seems not, otherwise the crop time would be longer.
    c) drops: hope, BP is turning the drop rat on, so that we are not stuck with hundreds or thousands of grown plants not getting enough drops and therefore not able to finish the event (if at all possible)
    d) NO viking broth as main rewards? seriously?
    e) depending on the players memory in the mini game (and I have a bad memory), assuming only the minimum points per game will be gained, there are 89 games needed (as we get 3 games free).

So at this point in time, I have NOTHING good to say about the event. Not even sure, if I play it or not... and .. at the point, where farmerama is getting so annoying and time consuming for me, that I am giving up on it.
I am the master of my time, not BP

    And Auntie EDIT adds:

BP.. you are really .... one of a kind!!
    from FAQ:
    Reloading/ Crashes:
    • If a player reloads the game or the Game crashes, the previously active mini-game will be restarted upon returning to the event layer with a time penalty of 20 seconds.
SERIOUSLY? You want to make the players responsible, if your game crashes???
What are you actually dreaming at night?
    I am out !!!

I don't like hidden object event.
Last time The great Chase is not a good experience even though I finally
managed to finished it. But still feel no good.
And this one is even worse becuase BP increase the scenes from 3 to 6
and let we know, BP design that each scenes had 60 object to find:mad:
Do BP know how much burden on players!
Even this event had a bit changes to give player 3 choices.
Still, Why the scenes had to come by random.
6X60 =360 objects. My brain need to remember them!
Each time system only ask 4 by random and only allow to used 5 magnifying glasses.
And even there seem to have 3 old scenes, Still we do not know if they will have the same
data as Great Chase OR, BP decided to change them!

I do not like to play hidden object game or find different game >:(
I had spend money on this game. And if I force to play some mini games that I dislike.
    Why I play?
So, BP will you really listen to your customer?

Regarding the other problems like huge crop & drops required. Force players to play
3 event to get allowance for another event..
    Only one word!
Do BP want to transfer farmerama players to your new farm Game?
But Let me tell you the truth..
Before your new game come to LIVE
The farmerama players already left and go to another Game world!

I agree wit the comments above.
Why has BP given us this event, with a >:(medium to hard >:(difficulty rating. A lot of farmers will need to do this event to get broths for Viking event.>:(>:(
You don't care about or respect the players. >:(

    What goes great/thumbs up:
    * To have a memory based mini game with 3 ways to play is great. If one fails in playing it the one way, to have two other play options definately is a big plus.
    * To have two reward tables, games played and game points, is cool.
    * To have extremely high requirements for completing the event and the hope new and old players might spend real money on the game. Such a childish way of money begging by a commercial company always makes me smile in compassion for a moment.

What needs to be looked at/thumbs down:
    * Extremely high requirements for completing the event. See my post here for an idea of what this event, even not doing it in full, asks from a player. If anyone on the Team did the same pre-calculations and the whole Team approved it, where did reality go??
    My advise: Get real.
    * This Birthday Event is the last part of a triology of Events in which Viking Broth, needed to participate and/or complete the Viking Saga V7 event, can be gained. Not all 3 FAQs were posted at the start of that event and players were left in the dark on how many Viking Broth they should gain from the other 2 events in order to be able to participate and/or complete the Viking Event. By not posting all FAQs at the start it limited gameplay options in the triology and it forced players to do the other 2 related events. By posting the 3rd and last FAQ late players had to find out afterwards participating in the other 2 related events was not needed, it's a slap in the face. The Team should never want to come up with such inacceptable forced gameplay dictatorship.
My advise: Next time, when using the multiple related events mechanism, do post all related FAQs at once and leave gameplay options open to players, pretty please.
    * Birthday, Party, Festive, Celebration, Extravaganza, Extraordinary .. these words express and indicate something special in favor of the players is underway. Uh.. Team.. help me find and/or point out the favor to players you came up with in the latest string of events.
My advise: Stop trying to fool your players by using these marketing wording when you don't give it a follow up in the true meaning.

I truly appreciate all efforts the Team takes to keep this a fun game but at some point I as well will get fed up with too much nonsense.

I do agree with all the comments above.
For such an enormous quantity of plants we will need to harvest every 4 hours day and night. So those who have a job or like to sleep during the night are at a big disavantage here.
If BP thinks that I will go to work and then come home and start buying all the baskets available, they're very wrong. Where is the pleasure of the game if you buy everything and finish the event in 10 minutes( depending on the broadband speed, how fast it connects to PayPal;)) ?
I do spend money on this game, and I'm happy to continue so if the game will entertain me, but with so many crops at each event, honestly, I'm just bored.-.-

This event looks fun, and I like the three different possible mechanisms, there should be something for (almost) everyone in there. But the amounts required are mindboggling, and we've already had many posts about events where there is an easily obtainable prize, but then there are many levels offered beyond that that are nearly impossible. To have all of this along with a Birthday celebration, where the idea OUGHT to be to celebrate not just the existence of the game, but the loyalty of long term players.... this is off putting. Combining that with the issues surrounding linking it with the Viking game, AND putting a week long MM at the same time that all six fields are in play for this event -I am starting to wonder if possibly BP owns several hospitals and is hoping to put a large number of players in the hospital with exhaustion and possibly stress-related stroke.

Couldn't have said it better myself. As I begin to get into this event, I am starting to get an appreciation of just how outrageous the requirements are. 635 crops for every album is ridiculous. I'm running out of words that adequately express my profound disappointment and "Shame on you, BP" just doesn't cut it any more.

Unlike others here I love hidden object games and the interface and options are very nice, but it is all overshadowed by the grind and the fact that the prizes are virtually impossible for those with any limits at all to time or resources.

Another blunderess decision. The birthday has always been a celebration with us receiving some good goodies, but the amount of crops need is beyond ridiculous.

I quite like the mini games and the prizes are really worth working for but unless we all put our lives on hold for seven days, for most of us those prizes are unobtainable. -.-

Too much required for each step making it very demoralising to realise that the goodies are just out of reach, no matter how hard we work. Not much of a celebration - and this coming from someone who has been with the game almost as long as it has been going (March 2010) and has rarely missed an event ... if I'm available and have a working computer, I will do an event! 8)
Perhaps you are thinking that those who are fed up with this game will automatically transfer to the new one ... count me OUT! :(

The amount of crops needed to make one album is, frankly, insane, especially considering the amount of time it takes for them to grow. I have literally only been able to make one album a day. That means I can play the game once a day. So, unless I want to spend real money on the game, I have zero chance of actually getting beyond perhaps level 5 in the prize list, which is utterly ridiculous. And in all of that, I will have gained only 3 of the viking items needed for THAT event. All around complete and utter disappointment of an event.

    Yay, Puzzle Games!:DBoo, high requirements!!!!-.-

I like the 3 different play modes and have enjoyed the challenge of finding hidden objects and differences in the scenes, though I think that the requirements to mill one album to be rather high and will thus not get as far as I would like.

    It's still fun though:p

I think BP missed a bit on this event. I do love the puzzles, but the event is too long, too entangled in other events, and high price on the mill item.

Adding: Habalala summed it up very well.

Oh good this is where I get to have my say...wow...what the heck is this. I dont enjoy this at all...2-3 events tied and each one is dependent on the other...I will never finish the viking bc the other is so low.
This has been weeks now. This is not pleasurable at all.
BP if u need ideas on how to change things up a little...why dont u ask us because clearly someone over there is missing the mark and turning players more off than on...
Truth be told...I am already bored, and I agree with all my fellow players...

Ohh wow.. where do u begin here. First off, the required amount of event plants (like all are saying) is ridiculous! 635 just to make ONE book (one?!) and it takes 5 hrs to grow. Now, either BP thinks the only people that play this game are retired or unemployed. People actually have jobs to go to and waiting for plants to mature and harvest is nuts. U come home at 5:30pm.. harvest a crop.. it matures at 10:30pm.. ur in bed or u quickly harvest and plant to do it again the following evening! Suggestion.. if u want to request such a high amount for one book, then drop the hours to 2. People will be happy and most will be able to play the event more than once a day or every other day.

Well, I am retired and harvest 4 times a day with 880 plots. I will be nowhere finished and don't think I will even finish Ingrid. What a mess this has all been. We give our all, and some money, but unless we buy loads more stuff, we are well and truly stuffed.
Drops are dropping (no pun intended) behind the crops too. Extend this event by about a week please.

Love the mini event BUT the requirements are too high if you can’t garvest continually. I gave managed 1 cloud row but won’t get the second and the zebra is just a distant dream :( What a sham

Not to mention...I have been able to get the upgrade to the Moonlite Madness tree before getting the actual tree!!!!!!

More to say...I cant tell you the last time I won broth to play the viking saga. I have never NOT finished a Viking Saga. I could care less about the birthday event at this point...maybe BP u should donate some broth to your players...I AM NOT buying it.

I have mixed thoughts for this event. On the one hand there are some very nice prizes....but on the other - requirements are extremely high by either spending all of our time playing and having no life or to empty our wallets for us to obtain. Thought this was a "Birthday Celebration for Farmerama". Seems to me that the only one celebrating is BP with all the cash being throw at them. If I am expected to spend my real money on this game then I want BP to make it worth my while. After spending a few years in the game now, all I see is the next shiny new thing being dangled in our faces. Most of the items I have purchased are basically good until the new stall, tree, etc is flung at us. Put some thought into how to make everything we earn, buy, gift, or win usable not just for a short time.
    Sorry...I digress.
Too many intertwined events make this event a real drag....:mad:I realize it is very difficult to please everyone all the time. Don't just put some thought into it, put some HEART into it. Make events and prizes well rounded so we can ALL enjoy the game. I have said this a number of times before and I'll say it again...BP the more you give to the players the more BP will see $$$$ flowing easily. Especially if you plan on having multiple events at one time or intertwined.-.--.--.--.-
