    Howdy Farmers,

Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding "Secret Recipe" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

The FAQ of the Event can be found here. If you have any questions, please use the General Issues section or the Technical Issues section for technical problems - this thread is for feedback only. Thank you for understanding.

We are looking forward to your feedback!

  2. The basic deco item Baking Stories can be collected every 10 hours.
So on the first day, in Eastern Europe (CET+1) it will not be possible to collect it two times unless someone waits up until 01:00.
... not concerning just a few countries and players.
Thank you so much for the consideration.

Seems they have thought of that, because we get a free Choco-licious Treat at the start of the event :)

I think when we first had these 24 hours quests they started sometime round midnight, which gave working people some chance on doing them. Start/finish time at around noon basicaly means that people who have standard hours job can forget that.

The amount of drops required in 24 hours is ridiculous. Oh well, another event that I won't finish. :(

Not a fan of 24 hour events - especially so many of them back to back. People with RL work and family duties have difficulties with the short time schedule.

I don't work any more and have had the opportunity to harvest quite regularly during Secret Recipe but I have still missed finishing all but one of these short timed events - one through lack of drops, one cos I miscounted (my fault) and I will not be able to finish the current one as my chocolate treats will not be ready till one hour after this part ends. So who are these events aimed at?

I do think that events should be a challenge, not too easy as they become boring, but when the only way to complete events is to be tied to the computer 24/7 - even going to the extent of setting alarms and getting up in the night to harvest, I think you are missing the point of a "game". -.-

As a full-time working person who also works every 2nd Saturday, I've just stopped doing events. I just send my neighbours event gifts.
BUT I decided to try some of these because I thought 24-hour ones might be a bit easier. No such luck. They were not.

Exactly. If the events are so tight that you have to calculate everything and let the game control your life then as you say - the point of a game has been missed. There's difference between fun and slavery, which many gaming companies either fail to recognise or intentionally blur.

Event fatigue and unattainable goals for workers - thanks BP as it gave me time to farm instead of attempting this at all and the prizes don’t appeal.

Epic fail on this one. I was able to complete most of the 24 hour quests but it just feels like a chore, and this upgradeable deco item is so confusing that I can't even tell if I'll be able to get the right amount of treats by the deadline, but I really don't care and I'm definitely NOT falling into the trap of buying even a 1.99 basket; thanks no thanks on the neverending tiresome parade of unspectacular events but we're all starting to sound the same and still we get no relief.

Well I almost daren't reply on this one.. Abysmal

How you expect anyone that works for an employer to finish, I am not sure!

I am lucky enough to work for myself and can mostly tailor my day around quests. I've grown all crops, got way more than enough drops and even woke once in the night to harvest the chocolicious things but still needing eight before quest finishes... Sorry I am not prepared to give up sleep as well for a game that is getting way too grasping trying to get us to buy to finish quests, even if we work our backsides off.. So far I have been OCD about Comps (and been at this game since inception) but I think I will try to just farm quietly, ignore comps before I decide if enough is enough and I too leave game.

8)I hope you won't decide to leave the game, Karen - your fan club would be heartbroken without you and your Reindeer postings!!

I've found a somewhat workable way to play this game: still come here to farm, and once in a while - if there is an easily doable Event then I'll give it a shot. I usually plant the event crops for the good ep's, but I've stopped stressing about Events any more...especially if I have to leave in the middle of one.
It was hard to shake loose from 'having' to do them - but I did, and now I just don't do most of them and don't stress about them anymore. (Also save a lot of $$$!!Lol!) It feels a lot more like a game now, too.
(Edited to change 'quest' into Events!! Sorry for the mistake!!)

Best part?...being able to come and go 'guilt free' whenever I need/want to!!:D

This Quest is a simple one if you can just enjoy the rewards that you do get, and don't sweat the ones you don't get.
So far I've not completed them (for all the reasons already stated here by others) but I like what I've gotten....and especially the freedom of not allowing myself to be tied to them.
