Thanks Karen, Lily sure did like playing with that ball! All the babies are growing so fast and some of them were tall enough to eat out of the taller trough!:)

Karen first of all I am sorry for the loss. But the video was a delight to watch and brighten my day.
You have done a Great Job with all the beautiful little ones as they all seem to be thriving.

Love the video of Lily doing her daily exercises with that ball, after all a girl has got to stay fit. ;)The babies are all growing up so fast.

Is it time to build the Ark? Here in the UK, we have had nothing but heavy rain for days.
Well at least with all this rain it is easier to see the babies new antler bumps and no flies to bother Belle's sensitive bits.

I even managed to get all babies in one picture, which is quite an accomplishment!
Earlier, Swift and Luna where the most sensible, staying in the dry of the field shelter and seemed quite surprised when I found them. [IMG]

Sounds like Swift and Luna are good buddies. :) Nice group shot, there is always one baby turning back to camera. :music:

Great picture of the babies together, I hope they all have their wellington boots on in all this rain:) Their little antler bumps are so cute.

I'm glad I live in sunny, yet hot(It was 105 today) CA.....after a few days of rain...I yearn for the sun.

My first broken antler for the season, Tigga.

Antlers are very fragile, at this time of year, while they are in their growing stage (in velvet). Unlike horn which grows from the base, antlers have a growing tip, so the length will not increase this year, although it may branch beneath break.

Sometimes I try to splint, if velvet is intact. This has limited success, but worth a try but Tigga's break was only hanging on by a tiny piece of velvet, so it was easier for her to snip through velvet, tie tip of remaining antler with a cable tip to stem blood flow, spray with terramyacin and then Aluspray.
It will no longer be painful for her but I will have to keep an eye out for Flystrike.
So sorry folks, that's both Tigga and Belle (who is still swollen in her nether regions) that I, for one, am happy that we've got awful weather in UK, as NO FLIES. [IMG]
