    OK, I am first.

The reset of lanterns is an absolute disgrace!
Presume, too many players have finished previous events, so BP changed the mechanism.

    Not a happy camper!

Logged in at 5am PST and had the whole thing go down to maitenence 15 minutes later...seriously? and for 3 hours? I work early so that was the end of trying any event for me. I couldn't even start anything so now I'm not even going to bother with them.
I'm choked that time zones behind get shafted like this perpetually and it leaves a nasty spike in it's place.

I don't think it is very fair to allow us to put in another combo without giving us fair warning that we need to confirm we want to redeem a previous combo. I thought I had redeemed the combo rewards - there was a green tick on the appropriate box but no. I then had to choose which donations I wanted to lose. I know it is in the FAQs - we seem to have to confirm all sorts of trivia during the game but important things are left to chance! Very uncool! -.-

I also had the game go to maintenance when the event first started -- I hope that this has been taken into consideration in computing the end time of the event.

At this point I don't know if I like the change to "redeem" donations or not. It seems that you could easily make a mistake. I would like to see this changed so that you click on a combination in the bottom row; the circles light up; you make your donation and that amount stays donated for that combination only. If you want you can work on more than one combination at a time by clicking on a different combination on the bottom row. You could still make mistakes by making donations and not being able to finish the combination. When people get accustomed to the new game play for this event I think they will like it better also.

It will be easier for some players to get the gifts they want because the requirements are lower for individual combinations. Previous events were higher because when you cleared a square it was cleared for more than one combination. I don't know if they overall total requirements are lower, the same, or higher than previous events because I haven't bothered to calculate them.

Previous events left some players out when they could not provide the requirements (colored animals or items they hadn't opened yet) -- I like that this event does not ask for them.

I also like the mystery combinations as long as they don't get to hard to guess) Don't want to make a mistake and waste crops, drops, etc.

I prefer the changes (as long as requirements aren't higher).

Wish I knew what I was doing wrong, or just missing. I could redeem several different patterns, but none of them will let me. The lanterns are all lit up (too many, I wasn't paying attention, but that's my own problem) but when I click a pattern square, the redeem button won't work.

If you have all of the required squares for a combination completed (will light up with blue circles when you click on the square) then it should let you redeem it. If not, you should submit a post under the Forum - Technical Issues so BP can see what the problem is.

    Good Luck

Completed it, after promising myself it wouldn't be worth it. I targeted the tasks with the rewards I wanted and then got caught in the grind of finishing it because I can't stop myself once I've started. Needlessly repetitive and the prizes were underwhelming. If not for this forum I would have been in a complete mess; only by reading the strategy posts did I get through it.

I started the event thinking that I could possibly finish but as time went on, I became less sure. I didn't put my whole heart into it, having been disappointed in the past but nowI am a small harvest away from completing it! Wahoo! :D

I didn't like the change (resetting of the grid) and it took me a while to get used to it, I am sure I lost some items on the way but not too many so learned a lesson! :music:

I have said already but it bears repeating - it is a treat to be able to finish events with a little bit of hard work and calculation. In recent times, without giving up everything else (including sleep and conversation!), events have been impossible to finish. Thumbs up for making these two events possible. :inlove:

I never set out to finish this event because the CR wasn't that appealing. I didn't finish (3 short) but was happy with what I won, especially the stars and SG plus I also gained a Prehistoric Fir, an XXL Norfolk Pine and an orange lions den as well....very happy with those!!

I completely did NOT enjoy this event!!!!:(>:( The resetting of the grid and opting for certain combinations was confusing and off-putting. Since we've had this similiar event a few times in the past...I was hoping for the earlier, simpler format. I wasted lots of event plants until I realized that my donating strategy was way-off. This was even after I had read(a few times) the event strategy. It was a busy week for me...so obviously didn't compute the giant change in event. Grrrr
If you repeat this sort of event....please, please go back to the easier format.:music:I play this game for relaxation and fun....not to tax my mind with complicated game strategy!:wuerg:-.-
