When I was young..... game

Hi everyone !

Everyone participating should post a sentence starting with, 'When I was young...'
That's the game. We will play till we grow tired of this game.


Let me start first.


When I was young I used to catch lots of butterflies.

 

When I was young I used to love to play hospitals with my dolls.

 

When I was young, I actually walked to school.

 

When I was young, I loved to swing on the swingset in our backyard.

 

When I was young, I used to love playing soft ball with the neighborhood kids in the field behind our house! No adults
and no official teams!

 

When I was young I climbed trees and fished for leaves in the creek.

 

When I was young a teacher was chasing me in the classroom to spank me and I jumped out the window, ran across the parking lot, ran across the field, crawled under the fence, ran down the train tracks, and ran home.

 

That I can easily picturie in my mind. You were always a handful ??? !!!!

When I was young I grew lot of fish at home. Whenever a young fish was born in my friends aquarium, I got few of them and feed them with rice. Not fish food. They all grew very fast and became very big.

 

When I was young most neighborhood kids came after school to our house to play kickball (we had the bestest yard, lol) Mom always made ice pops and fed everyone pimento cheese sandwiches. We also played dodgeball til the fire flies came out-you knew then time to go home

 

When I was (very) young, we had to walk through a short alley under a railway line and when it rained, this would flood and the Fire Brigade had to come and carry us little kids through it to get to school!

 

When I was young, I loved to ride my Shetland pony Billy Whiskers.

 

When I was young I was always excited and couldn't wait for my Dad to come home.

He traveled alot for work, he usually was gone a week or two. Instead of "What did you get me?," I said, "Did you get me anything?"

 

When I was young, we would go ice skating on a frozen (outdoor) pond. Sometimes after a snow storm we would have to shovel an area so we could skate!

 

when I was young i would climb to the top of an evergreen tree when it rained so i could smell the wonderful fragerance.

When I was young I would play for hours & hours with my homemade paper doll families, houses and furniture.

 

When I was young I would catch lizards for lizard races.

 

When I was very young my older sister and I caught fire flies in our cupped hands and watched them glow before releasing them! It was awesome!!
