Hi everyone!:)I want to share some news with you, I just came back from Plymouth, England and it is so sad to have left all my new friends. I had more than great time there, English people are just amazing and always so kind, I didn't feel like a foreigner I felt like I was also an English student like all my friends. The university experience was very different from what I am used in Greece but what I liked most is that I had so much free time and I joined rowing. I had never tried rowing before because it is not a common sport in Greece but I enjoyed it so much. Everyone had warned me that the weather would be very cold but it wasn't. It was of course raining a lot but it was not that cold.

(All pictures are from my first week in September when the weather was so amazing that I also went swimming:inlove::music:)

I will only stay in Athens for 2 weeks and then I am leaving again. I unfortunately can't go back to my home island so I will only see my family in the summer, at least my father came to help me with all the stuff I need to do before I go to Russia. I will go there for another semester abroad. I feel so lucky that I got these opportunities because of the funding from the European Union but also because my family supports me and they are happy for me to go abroad and try new things.
I feel so confused about what it really means to call a place "home". I definitely know that my home island is my home and I always love to spend the summers there with my family and friends but after moving to England I felt Plymouth became my home as well. The last months whenever I went out I would definitely meet so many people I knew and I really felt like a part of the society.

Arielh, I'm so happy you studies away were all you wanted them to be. It is such a rewarding experience for you.
I just wish I could see the pictures. For some reason I just have the " x IMG "
You are very wise and I know you will go far and succeed at what ever you decide to do.

Ohh no why the pictures can't be viewed? Do you know any good uploading site I could use?

Thank you lottidah for your kind words:inlove:

Thank you Willow! I always wanted to go to other countries and see how people live. I am so happy I get to experience something like this and I know this is because I really studied in school and in the first years of university so they choose me. But to be honest this semester in England I have not really studied. But I think I deserved a break.

-Mir85- I am going to Saint Petersbourg:D. I have never visited Russia before I just hope they speak English because I do not speak Russian.

zerodegrees I am glad to hear you enjoy reading my adventures and I always like to keep you updated because everyone is so supportive!

My family wanted to surprise me and come in Athens for the weekend but it is quite difficult and expensive for so many people to travel so they suggest me going. I am thinking about it but I know I want to go even just for 2 days to see them. I just hope I will finish everything I need to do here fast so I can go.

Oh wow, the only place in Russia I've been! One of my best friends is from Russia (now living in Norway) and I visited Saint Petersburg together with her a few years ago. It's an impressive city with lots of grand buildings and architecture. Not everyone speaks English, but they get a lot of tourists so I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Oh boy, Your going to Saint Petersburg? That's the only place I've been in Russia. You will love it. there is so much history there and beautiful buildings. I loved it. The Hermitage is there and our guide told us if you spend 24 hours every day 7 days a week it would take you 7 years to see it all. Amazing!!
