Reluctantly pass on this event at this time.
No need to open shark breeding either.
Length of time before introduction of breeding animal appeared shortened.
    Breeding propaganda judged as poor.
Quest starting date only added to the confusion.
Many players excluded from shark breeding and thus completion of this event.
Massive shark breeding is not the intention of this event. (stability of the breeding animal is all needed at best)
I'll hold. (Mandarin sales are decent for this time. Just playing with the pineapple used in shark feed)

Good luck all and watch out for the BEEPs fishnet.

:cry: Flat broke again with exactly -0- ccs :cry:

 not cryin cause I'm flat broke again

cryin because I can't buy any of those cheap sharks :cry::cry:

Suggestion: This event is the worst breeding event BEEPs has ever schemed.

BUT, for those who enjoy the breeding quests, this junk event seems to be a reasonable priced source for the base animal used for the breeding shark.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the thread..... My skips weren't great, but yet they never really are! The occasional one i get.... I'm grateful for. Can anyone tell me how we get the hair gel workshop? Is the Sana Ana Train the only way? Am I in the wrong thread for this question? Apologies in advance.... .... "slowly backs out of the room".

As far as I know, the train is the only way (at least for the moment) to get one.

Well done on skips and better luck to those still seeking those better skips! ;)

I finished the event on this farm in about 30 minutes - I was prepared and already had the mammals ready to harvest in the Love Shack. :music:
I just love that Pink Shark Pen! xD

As BB goes on till Monday, I thought I would dabble with my baby farms and lo and behold both finished. Bearing in mind that neither had much open on the island, least of all the Shark Lair and Shark breeding. I managed to open them up on both farms - didn't realise the first time round that I didn't have to open all the statues before Shark breeding so wasted a few GBs on Chevrefeuile (but no bother, these farms don't do any normal farming!) but Chevrefeuille cut straight to the chase (just as well, cos it didn't have as many GBs for some reason!). :)

But what both had was lots of PF and loads of CCs. Bought a lot of the necessary animals and some pens for back up (and, of course, the feed to feed them as I didn't even have the crops they needed! :wuerg:), and utilised some dusty old harvester coupons I had stashed away. :p

I am breeding what is left to sell and maybe recoup some of my CCs - but it is fun. It takes me back to the start of breeding when we didn't seem to need to breed for any other reason than for the fun of it! :inlove:

May all your skips be big ones! :D

Managed to make it to the last step (first lap) without putting in any actual effort. Just wanted to scoop up a few extra prizes. Didn't have any sharks (have been donating all spare animals to quests) so couldn't do the last step of the first lap, but oh well.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrreee sharkey-sharkey-sharkey .....just keep on gettin cheaper and cheaper xDxD

Event is still a NO-GO for the broke farms

Can't seem to find a reason. Plenty time left.

Both baby farms are still managing to find something to breed but it is coming close to the end - amazingly I still have some PF. though it is very much depleted from the 2,000ish both farms started with! But I am having a ball ... except the skips seem to be giving both of these farms a very large berth (or should be that be birth? :p). They can't seem to get beyond the Hammerhead. Oh well, penultimate breeding in (unless I get an enormous skip that is! xD).

Hope you are all having as much fun as I am, though I am sure farmer-broke is too, even though he hasn't started the event yet (I'm sure he will ... soon! :music:)

I forgot to say that I have nearly recouped all my CCs and still have a lot of offers in the Market waiting to be sold. :inlove:

I missed that part of the FAQs (I suppose when you don't need to worry cos you have been playing since the Ark, these things bypass you) ... I have posted before in Feedback about the unfairness of level exclusion. -.-

I meant what I said about it being fun on my baby farms - they don't need or want anything, they just participated for the fun of it. I still love breeding events and it did remind me of the good ol' days (your very oooool' farmer could tell you a tale or two) but this sort of ruling takes a little of the shine out of it. :(

Hope you are still having fun, though, selling those sharkie wharkies! ;)

A farm below level 38 where the farmer knows how to get enough GBs to unlock sharks and shark breeding, but doesn't know how to get some easy PF from FSQs for free and would therefore buy PF with real money to do the event... Does such a farm even exist? o_O

  18. zerodegrees

My point was that any farm in the same position as little_chick_broke likely belongs to a veteran farmer like yourself who had no intention of buying any PF in the first place.

It's so easy to level up these days that a farm with enough stars to unlock Bahamarama and enough GBs to unlock both statues required for shark breeding is probably well past level 38 on the mainland, as long as they're not going out of their way to avoid gaining EP the way you do.

On top of that, we had a very generous birthday event a couple of weeks ago where even a brand new farm could play the one free game BP provided and get a couple million EP without any effort. So the level 38 requirement is unlikely to be a real barrier for any farm that has been around for longer than 2 weeks, unless it's actively trying to avoid leveling up or has been kept inactive until very recently.

I used to think BP should allow players of any level to participate in all events so they can at least pick up whatever prizes they can, but then I saw people complaining in previous events about how it was misleading to set the minimum level for the event to level 3 when step X required something that wasn't available to beginners until level Y.

Since a new player is more likely to have trouble collecting enough GBs to unlock shark breeding than reaching the mainland level required to unlock fish, I think it makes sense for BP to err on the side of caution and set the minimum level to 38.

Thank you zero. I have deleted my posts as I no longer wish to be associated with the related topic. The previous posts have been read by responsible team members and I can only trust the issue will be acted upon if they deem worthy. No further concern here.

Breeding results of parrots, elephants and monkeys have been normal for this farm.

Very few ccs have been generated from shark sales.

Good luck everyone working this event.
