Feedback Mini Events: February 2020

The values for the mystery cargo options are way out of line with the values for tradeable pens.

Most of us want to get the most bang for our buck. That means we want to be able to give away as many pens as possible, without losing the rewards.

Most pens have a value of several hundred EV. I could make up the EV for mystery cargo II (750) using one pen, and still have overshot the EV requirements.

Given it takes an hour for the train to come back (assuming you aren't paying for instant finish, which free players usually can't afford), one wants to fill the train as much as possible. That is, fill at least 5 of the slots, but ideally, fill all 6. The problem is, if you fill all 6 slots, you usually have enough EV on the train to get at least 2 mystery cargoes, if not 3.

Say you have 6 pens to send off. You have two alternatives:
1. Send them off on one train. This enables you to get rid of as many pens as possible within the time limit of the event. However, they may be worth 2 or 3 mystery cargoes, but you will only be rewarded with 1.
2. Only fill the train until you have reached the EV, and then leave remaining slots free; send the remaining pens on a second train. This prevents the issue of wasting the excess EV that you have in option 1, but is time consuming and prevents you from being able to get rid of as many pens as possible during the event. If you are paying for instant finish, this is also a far more expensive option.

There are two solutions to these issues, which I have suggested before and have not been implemented (maybe this is a brick wall that will magically respond if I hound it enough):
1. Increase the EV of the mystery cargoes. Rather than making them worth 750 and 1000 EV, make them worth 1500 and 2000. This does create an issue for lower level players who don't have high EV pens, so this could be circumnavigated by adding a third mystery cargo - say the 750 option, or even lower - to cater to lower level players whilst allowing higher level players - who have more valuable pens in much higher quantities - to effectively purge the inventory
2. Enable players to get as many mystery cargoes as their train is worth. Say you send off a train worth 2000 EV, you should be able to receive 2 x 1000 EV mystery cargoes for that train.


That said, I'm really impressed by the options in the mystery cargoes. From a first glance I can't imagine being disappointed by any of the possible outcomes.

Love thd train but would love to see squiggles tweak of being able to fully load the train and get multiple cargo back even if it means waiting longer.

 

I am also enjoying the train and would love to be able to do more "journeys". I would also like to be able to stay in the train window and not have to click again to get back in to load up the next cargo. Unnecessary clicking - collect and load all at once.

 

Add me to this list - I love this mini event, but as it stands, it is tedious.
