Event Crops:

1- Donkey’s Tail
Time: 6 hours
Plantable on the Main field and Green Meadow only.

2- Doggy Delight
Time: 6 hours and 40 minutes
Plantable on the Main field and Magical Glade only.

3- Pink Valerian
Time: 7 hours and 20 minutes
Plantable on the Green Meadow and Magical Glade only.

4- Heirloom Corn
Time: 8 hours
Plantable on the Main field, Green Meadow and Magical Glade only.

We have had this format several times and it is a real brain teaser to work out what is needed. So by my rule of thumb, I guess that the two crops with the lowest number will be the ones that will give us two steps and the one with the highest requirement will give us three steps.
I forgot how it went and added up all the crops listed and came up with 21,215 total crops. Then realised my error!

Giving two examples (and I am only guessing), for the Donkey, the first level requires:

130 Donkey Tails for three steps = 520 for whole level
120 Doggy Delights for two steps = 720 for whole level*
90 Pink Valerians for two steps = 540 for whole level*

160 Pink Valerians for two steps = 960 for whole level*
220 Donkey Tails for three steps = 880 for whole level
140 Heirloom Corns for two steps = 840 for whole level*

*or a mixture of the two
This looks more like hard to very hard to me.

I hope I have it wrong but if I am right, I am giving this one a miss. There is nothing in the prizes that makes it a MUST do. I refuse to pull my Glade apart again.

BP once again makes an event unnecessarily difficult. Four different times for three different crops.

The different fields don't make it any easier either - ball of confusion!

 

My plan is to get each animal through level two rewards. Since I started the Season Pass late, I need those rewards to reach the end of the SP before it's over next week. After that... I will be restocking my farm.

Well, I am sitting on the fence at the moment. With four event crops having different growing times and fields, one can go nuts. I only wanted to get those lighthouse upgrades, but.....

As best I recall, the first 2 crops in the list of options for each level advance you 2 steps, while the third crop of options advances you 3 steps.

To continue with illy's example of the donkey: 90 pink valerians x 4 = 360 pink valerians to finish level 1

I doubt I can do the event. I would like the lighthouse upgrades but just am not sure I can devote enough time to harvest on time. While I usually like a challenge, at this time in my life, I find it difficult to keep track of multiple crops, multiple harvest times and which field to grow on. I need simple and this shreds my brain before we even get started

 

Well the lighthouse upgrades are the last step for each animal (12). So what a mess... Cloud row takes a day and a half to reset. So it's "every other day" as far as I'm concerned and thus not that appealing. The season points and the lighthouse upgrades are the only reason I'd even attempt it.

Oh. Yeah. One other plus: it's all event crops and no barn stock of regular plants. Which is good, cuz if you're doing the season thing, you've probably given all your regular plants to those hooligans for farm orders to get those measly season points.

Soooooo...I dunno. Might go as far as I can go on this farm and the baby farm. Sewinglady's farm wants those lighthouse upgrades in the worse way (cough cough)... We'll see.

 

... They might as you have left it red and not blue like the rest lol!

I would only be interested in the Season points, Lighthouse upgrades and Wonder Trees but I am sure there will be something in the future which will make me forget all about what I could have had!

Okay this one I am really out on. I already have season points done and light house upgrades would be nice but means completing all steps. Cloud row is okay and would like but again not doing it. Good luck to all!!

 

There's just too much hassle included with this Event, Hence like so many others it seems, I won't be participating either, Thanks to those who've put down numbers & strategies & the Thread Start & good luck to those playing the Event, I'm just going to do usual, Casual Farming.

For the donkey I checked which option resulted in the least amount of growing time and it was almost always the "favorite" option that takes you three steps. I can't be bothered with checking for all the animals, I assume it is mostly the same.

So, to make things easy I will always go for the three step option. The requirements are then:

Donkey's tail: 8520
Doggy delights: 8000
Pink valerian: 5600
Heirloom corns: 5900

Would be great if someone could check if that's correct.

I plan to use only the main field and the meadow. It'll be a bit tight, but if I need too I'll use one of my plant revenue buffs. Rather that than tear up the magical glade.

Donkey's tail and heirloom blossom can be grown on both fields. Doggy delight only on main and pink valerian only on meadow (when glade is excluded). Growing doggy delight with only water and pink valerian with water and manure makes the timing the same, so it is not too terrible. I'll grow heirloom corn overnight.

Thank you Mir and Niknar for giving us the basic requirements. Much less than I imagined but still more than I can comfortably produce in my self imposed daily playing time.
I am tempted but without something to really attract me, I am still going to take a break.

I forgot and harvested all my animal stalls and lo, I can't start the event until tomorrow morning. One thing gives me some assurance. No drops. Atleast I am not hurt by my unpreparedness.
