Oh dear, it looks like I am going to be the first to attempt to work out what is required for this event. Please feel free to put me right - we all know my maths is a little suspect.

From what I can see, we can play all the boards as many times as we like but we must do the two Segments for Uncle Barney before we can select another board. We have to complete both Segments of a board before we can play it again.

We get one free go so, if we want to play both segments for each character twice, we need to mill 11 Ocean Decks.

450 Lucky Cards x 11 = 4,950 Lucky Cards
24 Spotted Shells x 11 = 264 Spotted Shells

Not so bad, and we can collect a lot of prizes on the way ... BUT beware, it is very easy to take the wrong route and miss those Cute Jellyfish which we need for the Aqua Mania game and these are only available in the first time round of Uncle Barney's game (Segment 1) and first time round of of Kitty's game (Segment 2). We can also buy two Cute Jellyfish for 10 trivia points each ... so there are only four available.
If I've missed any Cute Jellyfish anywhere, please set me straight.

I like the look of this game and I will play it as long as I can. I got 168 shells from a field of Ixora so that's a good start but who knows how the event crop will affect the drops.

I came by yesterday and saw that no one had started the strategy thread and I thought about it, then I thought about the maths and such and thought better of it... so a big THANK YOU to Illy for starting the thread!

We've been down this road before - the hardest thing about this event in my book is figuring out the best spots to land on and then hoping you get cards that will add up to the right number(s) so you can actually land on them.

I think we only need two of the jellyfish to unlock the left side CR...the other two are optional, but nice if you want more lures to catch more, um, sea creatures... If I'm wrong about that, I'm sure zerodegrees will come along shortly and set the record straight. I only say this because I got up late and am just two sips into my first cuppa coffee.

Edited to add...well, sewinglady's farm is going to have to do this event the hard way...can no longer make in-game purchases via BigFish.

 

Got 164 shells from my field of Ixora (interesting that it was four less than Illy received with the same crop). Hope this event goes well. Best of luck to all.

Oh my gosh! Even knowing that I needed to be careful, I still managed to miss the jellyfish spot with my free deck! Note to all: You cannot follow the upper path and loop in the Cute Jellyfish spot. The power feed spot leads only to the super grow. I feel very silly.

Illy, you haven't missed any. We only need 4 Cute Jellyfish to complete the aqua mania event.

I missed it too despite carefully working out what I had to do!

 

I am here to tell you all that if you miss it the first time, it is there the next time around You can only CLAIM it once, but it will appear again if you are dumb like me and go right past it!

 

In case anyone is wondering, 100 star coins = 25 ocean decks - 1 (free) = 24 ocean decks = 10,800 lucky cards + 576 spotted shells
A bit less than that if you land on the tiles with extra star coins.

Yep, I missed the first jellyfish and went back on the 2nd pass and collected it.

Trying to figure out what you did here... I think you may have multiplied each segment by 2 instead of each character.

If you want to play both segments of each character's board game once, you only need 6 - 1 (free) = 5 ocean decks.

450 lucky cards x 5 = 2,250 lucky cards
24 spotted shells x 5 = 120 spotted shells

 

You're right Zero - I calculated for going round twice for each character but for some reason I wrote once!
I missed the Cute Jellyfish on both my other farms with the free go so I knew just how easy it was to miss it.
For those who hadn't noticed (and it is not so clear as it usually is) when you click on the card, the places it lands on will be highlighted.
