Thank you :). I hadn't worked it out to daily. Thanks everyone for your input, it helps greatly. I usually do an either/or, and alwas struggle with drops. Got 98 this morning on event crops (meadow still had 2x2s on it) so it looks like I might get around 110 each full harvest.

Forget what I said. The drop rate from event crops is a lot better than I was expecting it to be and it looks like we'll get all the drops we need just from growing the required amount of event crops - no need to plant longer crops overnight. :)

I don't get why the difficulty was set to "hard" because it looks pretty easy to me...

To all my friends and neighbors, Since this event is going and looks like I will 100% skip this one. I have not checked the FAQ's But my first class started today and 2 more will be on Sept 3.Last class starts Oct 15. I had one neighbor IGM about me not sending gifts/returning I have been busy. Yes I wont lie there has been days I was free... and yes I took them days to be free...lol I am so sorry. Other times, I was busy. I went back to work like in June sometime.. I didn't plan that.. It just happened.

Any way, I will still be on the game. I will still send/return gifts. But let it be known now. I can not promise everyday. Yes Normally I do let you all know ahead of time and for this I am sorry. it was out of my control. I am letting you all know now though.

But I guess I could've came in here on my free days. If only you all knew what I am going through. No, COVID-19 is least of my worries. That is nothing compared to the stress one person loves to dish out every day. I love this game and everyone here. I had no active IGM I came to reload farm and i was out again.

In other words. I took a break from certain things that I need to. You all know me by now. No matter what in my life I always do gift/return. Minus few days. I am hoping it be same again. But I also have to study. I am sorry for the last month or two where I did nothing. And I didn't let you all know. That part is my fault. I am sorry.

Good luck for this lot of classes Jazac. Don't put yourself under any extra stress with unneccesary things. I don't understand people who live by the daily gifting rule. You can only give 7 gifts a day, yet have 12-18 neighbours. Then there are your buddies too. And then there is life to be lived. Plus you can only recieve 20 gifts per day. So for someone to be checking daily to see if you gifted them or not is a little selfish. Fair enough if you never gift them, but for someone to expect you to miss others for the sake of giving them a gift daily is harsh. I have lovely people here I try to gift but the time difference means I am sending out my gifts when their daily limit is already full. So they are missing out from me. Sorry guys. I have already deleted 1 neighbour who after the first 3 gifts advised they only wanted a certain item. I replied I would be happy to help, however at times I may forget or fast fingers means I send something else. Their response was rather rude. So my response was bye, delete. We dont "need" neighbours for the meadow to remain open anymore, but they are nice to have (especially for that little extra EP). Just look after yourself.

Blessings on your classes, Jazac. Your friendship is the best gift; the daily things are just a bonus. Hope things settle down with the difficult person.
Forgive me if I forget and send you a drop anyway! xD Sometimes you just get clicking away and send things automatically.

Drops are looking good for me after a few harvests; but I might still put in an overnight crop for a bit - just in case I have a RL issue that slows me down. :)

My strategy is to plant event crops overnight if the requirement is high until I am sure I will have enough, then I may switch my overnight crop. If drops are a problem, I may do a harvest or two of refined crops (Roses or Carnations) but generally I am planting event crops throughout. :)

@Jazak: I can't believe a neighbour checks up on you if you don't gift! I have never had anyone ask me why I haven't gifted. Maybe they were just enquiring if all was well with you ... I'm just trying to find some rationale on why someone would actually do this. My thoughts are that this is a game and we are all entitled to play it as we want - sometimes RL gets in the way and we can't stop to tell everyone that we are unable to play/post. Some of us will worry that we don't see someone but never to find out where our "gift" is! :( Good luck with the classes. ;)
Hope the drop rate continues as it is! ;)

Jazac, You are University Student there are others who play this game too, it not easy to Study, coping with your course fees, needing some work etc with Covid19 around the world has suspended all education, now many are resuming their studies, Your neighbour should have taken this into consideration

We all here to help each other, Everyone should be grateful and be considerate that what we do here which makes this forum great

what we learn in life You scratch my back, and I will scratch your back help each other keep your chin up good luck with studies;);)

One thing we all could do without in life is Stress often caused by others we a here for you :pThis game is just a bonus in our lives, help us have fun, enjoy make us smile and great companionship

I am getting an average of 105 drops per harvest so it seems drops won't be an issue I am sticking to reaping leather straps non stop keeping manure prices as minimal as possible it will climb in price .......if we get any harvest booster is a bonus

I can forgive the late start to this event with bonus code ....SPEED, plus drop rate is better than we thought so carry on happy farming

it helps to make CC during events you can buy manure in the market or producing them in the other four fields I don't see this as hard event until lost idle time with real life stuff, duties, chores, errands quality family and relationships as life keep getting shorter make the most of it be grateful with everything ;)

I also deleted one neighbor. Now he/she won't get wrong gifts from me. I am playing for fun. I really don' need a lecture (a very long speech) from a neighbor.

    Happy farming & Stay safe.

Miss you too! Tried to send an invite, but got the "this farmer doesn't exist" message. Send me an invite if you still have room, you know I'll always accept. :inlove:

Got a late start today, so I missed the lag issues. But will gladly accept the bonus anyway. ;)

Despite having retired almost 4 years ago, we still have never been able to kick late night schedule from husband's job, so our sleep schedule is erratic. Combined with the fact I have trouble sleeping more than 5-6 hours in a row, and I'm often awake even when I shouldn't be. :p Most events drops are no problem for me, so I tend to stay with event crops 'round the clock, and if I do have drop issues I most often do instant carnations to get what I need. And this summer especially we've been even goofier than normal in our activities (like unplanned trips to town), so I try to concentrate on getting the crops done as soon as possible.

Jazac, I'm sorry to hear of your neighbor stress. :( I'm blessed with wonderful neighbors who forgive me my notoriously bad record of gifting, and I have never been concerned with being gifted myself, but I know that's important to some farmers. It doesn't excuse rudeness, tho. If you need a neighbor who doesn't care if you get around to gifting, and you don't mind if my absent mindedness means I often forget, just let me know. :) In the mean time, good luck getting back to classes, and as thesmileface said, stay safe.

Hi again.. Drops seems good for me too. I don't know haven't paid attention to them...lol

About my other post. Its no one here in the game causing me stress. It is someone I live with and next door neighbor helps him do it. I did say I love everyone here ;). Thank you all for the wishes in my studies. I am getting ready for work now. Will return later. When I have more time to read...lolxD

    Edit I have 206 drops

Sometimes real life has to take precedence over farming. Anyone who doesn't understand...well, they aren't my neighbors, that's for sure. On top of all that goes on, sometimes I just plain old forget! And then there's the neighbors that have reached their daily limit - I tried - I poked the button but the game said no...

And honestly, I'm generally grateful for anything and everything my farms get gifted to them. I hope my neighbors feel the same way.

Now about this event - yes, drop rate seems to be fairly good with event crop - I suspect because it's a 6½ hour crop. As I got a late start yesterday, I decided to get up in the night so left event crop in, got up at 3 a.m. and harvested. So now I'm off to harvest again and start my day. It's just as busy as yesterday, plus sewing! I am sooooo tired of sewing masks. I took a break and made some dresses for two clients earlier this week. Oh my, but I did enjoy that.

My drops are really better than expected - up to 726 and enough crops to go for the first model with enough left for planting. Might decide to skip overnight roses for event crops after all.

Interesting that several of us have had a "neighbor" that chided us for missing gifts. Went on a long weekend once and came back to a note that I had only been accepted as a neighbor because they had been told I gifted everyday. They said they would have to get another neighbor if that happened again. I politely suggested that another neighbor might be just what they needed, as I had RL things that take precedence over the game. ;) So glad that hasn't happened again. I love my current neighbors, gifts or not!

How's everyone progressing with this event?
I'm now on level 5, stuck on the sheep model needing 12 designer handbags! = 3,600 crops +120 eyelets = big order!
I started with 2 full fields of hydrangea which yielded over 320 drops to begin.
I've had one boost - +1 x 6 hours crop over two harvests.
You only need to complete level 7 to get both cloud rows.
This event seems doable in the time allowed if the drops keep up.

I'm stuck on level 5 too, racheliz also needing 12 handbags. Drops have been poor on my farm. Harvesting as often as I can.
With 4 days to go I'm confident I will finish, will plant 2 fields of hydrangeas next.
    Good luck to everyone. :)

I too am working on the handbags. I have plenty of the eyelets just need to grow the leather. Had to work 10 hours yesterday so I need all the leather since I planted long crops while working.

Good News! SewingLady's farm is back! I don't know what BFG did, but the payment portal is working again, so whew!

Anyway, in event news, this farm! THIS FARM! Got the first cloud row before my other farms! That NEVER happens! The dumbunny farm wins! Not sure what...maybe just bragging rights among my multiple personalities?

And so now, to mill purses. That mostly what's left. Milled items.

dumbunny, happy for you that you have your other farm back! It must be a BIG relief!;)
In the event I am waiting to get another 115 drops then I can do all the milling and start playing the game! My plan is to do each of the 4 models 7 times and then go back to Kitty and do the 8th one! to get the "XXL Tool Tree!"

Great news dumbunny. Perhaps they were inundated with complaints.
I'll collect the 6th level of the models after the mornings harvest. Have delivered 2 lots of belts but decided to leave the rest of them and the bags until last. First cloud row up and running full of 1CC sheep and cows and a small volcano. LOL

Good news for you dumbunny! :D After a 24 hour 100% boost, I currently have 9808 crops and 1093 drops. I haven't milled anything yet, nor have I dressed any of the models - I like to wait until I have most of the crops in the barn. If I can stay on a reasonably regular harvesting timetable, I should be okay (crops don't seem to be an issue this time around, thankfully).:)

Cassie, I thought you were skipping the event?;)xD
