Whoa, two days into the event and nobody even bothered to post the actual overall requirements of this event.
Reminds me of Bob Dylan who once wrote the lyric The times, they are a-changin'...

I thought about it, then I read the comments in this thread and decided it would be a waste of my time. When the comments are overwhelmingly negative like for this event, I usually just flee to other language forums. :p

I have to agree with everyone. The event does not look worth the effort.
So 24 hours later I have 309/400 anvils and 446/600 Mjolnir. I haven't put up extra trees, still running about 80-90 on each of the fields with event crops in the rest. I'm not moving howies because I can't be bothered (not that they see to affect trees), so the drops seem to be ok. Touch wood.
I'm not really putting extra effort in but I did have the tree fruit, animal and most of the product requirements at the beginning.
I am working on level 10 (mjolnir) on the first structure now, level 11 (anvils) on the second, and finished 8 on the third. I will not be going further on that one because I refuse to buy quills (approx 35mill CC) for terrible reward.
The crates of wonders gave me 2 XXL sweet gums and a Yangmei, all of which I didn't have, and stable wise I got a yellow tiger. Platinum wonder stable was a weasel and an orange peacock from the zendangle. Didn't have those either.
So all in all I am happy.
I have been fortunate to have a couple of +2 harvest bonuses to run.

    ~Edit~
All finished as far as I am going to take it. Parts 1 & 2 completed, part 3 to level 8.

Little variation for endless growing of flowers. Bit by bit I am arranging green meadows back to normal state from mix of trees, jumbos and fields. All the negative comments made me believe this is a horrible event, but it turned out to be pretty stress-free. 24h 100%-harvest bonus helped also. I have not finished yet, some mjölnirs are still missing, but they are not a problem, endless growing of flowers
(and others for FSQ) continues :p

Thanks to my kind neighbours for Anvils!

It was a nice and stress-free event for me too. I don't get all the hate... I like a little variety in my events as I get bored doing the same thing over and over again, and thought this was an interesting new event mechanic.

I don't have the builder but I'd much rather put out trees where I can keep the tree fruit for other farming goals than grow even more useless event crops. My brain must be broken because I just don't understand how this is a bad thing.

Builder is rather useless with trees, unless you have empty area to fill with large amounts of same tree or couple of them. But if you want to remove trees with different growth time, you may lose those, which are not ready at same time, unless you have fertilized them. My Green meadows is very versatile place, I grow there sometimes trees, another time plants and sometimes animals, which are best for my needs at that moment. Only Howie has permanent place there, I am too lazy to move him around.

IMHO when the game requires something other than event plant to be grown to get drops, those things are soon needed in new events, quests or somewhere else in game. No need to whine not having time to grow them ;)

    Ready!

Cloud row up and running. The only stumbling block is the very high requirement for Quill Pens which I only had on this farm. Without those in your barn, or the ability to buy at exhorbitant prices, the event could not be finished.
Good luck to everyone who is doing it.

I agree putting out trees can tedious even with the builder. I just meant that even as someone who has to place every tree and upgrade by hand, one by one, I still think drops from trees are way better than more event crops.

I do hate how it removes semi-ripe trees unless they've been fertilized, though, and how you can only put out one type of tree at a time. It'd be so much better if the builder let us select several types of trees and put them out all at once.

That's why I prefer drops to event crops - I get to do the event while growing things that can be used elsewhere in the game. Seems like a win-win to me, but I guess I'm just one of those people who's obviously never played this game... ;)

I didn't participate in this event. Not because I didn't like it or want to but because I just didn't have the time to babysit my fields. I've been running on one harvest a day for more than a week now. Sad I missed most of MM too. I have so much work to be done there.

Easiest is to use the "farm-restore" tool. I have 2 different tree layouts stored, High EP 20 h and High EP 12 h. Just harvest the field from crops and press restore, hey presto a field full of trees! Best of luck all!

Ct - under the farm tool button, lower left corner of your screen, the ikon furtherest to the right looking like an old floppy disk, is where you can store farm layouts. It takes a picture of the way your field looks like at that moment, then you can arrange your field like you want. Then, if like now you have to swap between trees and crops - just hit the farm-restore button to have all you'r trees out in an instant. Magic! And for free!

Finished the event today, even though I wasn't doing it xD

I had seen it there, but ignored it thinking it might be one of those total reset when things go bad buttons. Thanks for the update.

Yay, it wasnt overly hard was it? I was surprised. Mind you I didnt totally finish but what I did do, blitzed through.
