Announcement Unity Update

Howdy Farmers,

The Farmerama team is working towards the start of the Open Beta for the Unity client.
It will start SOON! We already started a “Silent Open Beta” to get results how the client behaves on live servers – the silent beta can only be accessed by:
1) Moderators and a few former moderators
2) Bigpoint employees
3) Different cooperation partners associated with Farmerama or Bigpoint

As usual you will receive all relevant details before the Open Beta starts, so keep an eye on the official announcements in the forum

With this message we want to tackle another issue regarding the Internet Explorer Browser by Microsoft. We received some bug reports lately that e.g. the payment didn´t work properly or the game crashes from time to time. Although we were able to fix some issues yesterday, we decided to not put more effort into working on fixes for IE from now onwards.

The main reason for this decision is that the Unity Client won´t support Internet Explorer. So for playing the Farmerama in a browser in the future it´s best to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox– these are the browsers which provide the best experience for playing Farmerama. Moreover, potential fixes could slower our preparations regarding the port to Unity.

In short: Internet Explorer won´t be kept updated from our end from now onwards. We however also must point specify that there are few players using the Internet Explorer for Farmerama and this step will help us in smoothen our production.

To end this message with some sweeter words: we are looking forward to a long future of Farmerama with you as the most loyal, passionate, and best players in the world.
