Luck on the wheel? I have become confident they have disabled the harvest bonus

 

I seem to be surprisingly on track to complete this event! Ok, I confess, I have a spreadsheet to keep track of where I'm at. LOL!
With 115 hours left out of the total of 152 hours (76% of the total time), I have 16320/21570 (i.e. I still need 16,320) or 76% left of the event crop (and that is with the extra time needed to get full fields going).
560/1224 still needed (46%) of child's scissors
535/926 sill needed (58%) of gift ribbons

I had initial roses on the two fields, but since then have only had event plants. I was afraid that drops were going to be a problem, but I'm ahead on those! Now all I have to do is remember to harvest on time!

 

Wow, I'm flying by the seat of my pants as usual. All I know is I'm ahead on crops and have hit the "waiting for drops" portion of the event. I've completed the first 4 sections and am 1 blue gift away from completing the 5th. I think I'm on track to finish in time. At least that is what I'm telling myself.

I was happy to do this event in the usual way but got very lucky and won not one but two +100% Harvest on the Wheel. At one point, they were active simultaneously so for a couple of harvests I was getting 50 per 2x2 CF (excluding 3 planting seeds)!
With the crops I have in hand, I only need about 7,000 more.
The drops have been pretty good too and much helped by planting Emmer overnight.
These wheel wins are very few and far between but once in a while they fall very nicely - it's my turn this time!

I did say "extraordinary"...

Unlike Clash Strummer, I'm behind on all 3 three farms. And yes, I did get up in the night and harvest. So maybe I'm not quite as far behind as I was? Not gonna hold my breath. Doing what I can and not gonna sweat it if I don't finish.

Wow! Some of you are done less than halfway through the event! I still have about 9000 crops to grow, and the way drops have been coming this time, I will have plenty as I need them! This so rarely happens.

I hope some of the problems with harvesting, etc. resolve soon for those having problems. I have been having pretty good luck with Unity, although I need to constantly refresh when things stop working.

 

I have been farming the birthday event, but there are not enough drops to meet the activity request. I have been working on the 9 green gift packages since yesterday, and still can only make one gift this morning. Not enough drops and I am probably done with this one. Not enough incentive to keep going. Very disappointing.

I don't understand how the farmer ahead of me can say they had enough drops, I am planting crops...and I don't get ANY drops! My main farm field only yielded 2 scissors this morning.

 

I don't understand these discrepancies either BonbonQueen! And all BP ever says is that they are random. I'm getting about 40 scissors per field and 20-30 ribbons per field. This is with the event crop only. I hope luck turns your way soon!!

 

The event ended yesterday. It was an easy activity. Drops were enough.

 

Finished this morning. Thought I had less time for some reason but with more than two days left everyone should be able to finish. I didn't do anything crazy or use any harvest buffs to finish early. Good Luck!

 

Finally finished! Thanks to neighbours for the drops. Somehow I managed to mill two wrong gifts earlier today, so I needed one more crop to finish.

 

Sewinglady's farm finished the event this morning. This farm and the teenager farm are on track to finish by the end. SL's farm got a 100% wheel bonus yesterday, and that plus having the drop rat and two CRs that increase drop rates, no problems with drops. Also had a Howie on each field. This farm is doing okay on drops, too. But, PrairieMaiden23 is lagging behind...that farm has no extra Howies (just the one in the wisdom tree) and no CRs that give increased drop rates. That's what makes the difference from one farm to the next...the buffs.

Hi playful123. There's no cloud row for the birthday prep event. When you complete the event and add all the upgrades to the three givers, you can place them on your farm and they will reward you with EP/TEP bonuses and two of them reward crates. I placed mine in the pet playground. Good luck!

 

Why do I believe the FAQs? Why? There are no scissors rewarded when you breed. I just found this out the hard way.

 

So sorry that I trust the English FAQ and wrote in the strategy thread that child's scissors also recive from breeding. Edited.
