If you're wanting to get the other treats, it's best to leave the cloud row givers on the fields. They give a coin each every 10 hours.

CR gives a list twice a day.

 

I've decided to stop growing crops and maximise on the short term Workshops during the day and then event crops overnight. I don't particularly want the CR (more EP and Crates!) and will just go for the Wonder Stables and Trees, maybe the PF. All depends. Can't get very excited about this one!

CAUTION CAUTION!!
Don't do what I just did: decided to use some extra blue coins on PF, clicked first time and accepted then, without looking, clicked the PF again - this time it wasn't for blue coins, the game had reverted to the star coin selection. . .so I spent 5 star coins for 6PF instead of 2 blue coins for 5PF. I feel so stupid - for one second I forgot that Unity goes back to the beginning of the category after every click.

 

I'm once again ahead of drops. I've not been able to open any of the trees or stables as of yet but I've been collecting them. I've not been planting long overnight crops which is probably why I'm behind so I'll have to see if I can play catch up.

 

To all my beautiful neighbors, I've got all my drops, so please feel free to send to others in need . This event has been way more generous with drops than last... Now to finish crops.

Okay, now I get the trading thing!

Managed to get a couple more Mosaic stables - my other eight gave me nothing of note except maybe a Blue Jay (which I was after for ages and now have five!).
One of my baby farms had one Mosaic stable and got a Dormouse, go figure!

I didn't bother with the EP items (not going for the CR so no use to me there) as they cost more than the items I want and I would only have managed to get seven coins even if I managed to get one on the first day!

I am amazed that after playing for nearly eleven years, it can still take me nearly all the event duration to suss out the mechanics of it!

Got the cloud row. Also got 8 mosaic stables from blue coins. Waiting to get the last wonder tree. Got the coupons too.

By the way, I am not too concerned about this one, I had not intended to do much (if anything at all come to that!) but I just couldn't get my head around that trade thing! First I thought that I would have to pay each time to get the 2:1 and 1:1 and then I thought I had done the trade - the wrong way! I hadn't actually done it, it was just showing me what I was trading for! Finally it clicked into place!

Edit: I am very happy that I did participate a little in this event - I have my first Tule and my first Honey Locust (on this farm, on a baby farm I have 3!!!) so not a complete waste of time for me.

 

I didn't trade anything this time. Got my first tule tree x 2 and a honey locust and a white poplar, and I've still got a couple of song gao trees to plant.

I also planted some mystery trees from some other event to Bahamarama and got my first ravenalas x2 so a pretty good mystery tree day.

 

I managed to get all the stables, trees, and buffs, and some of the other items as well. I set out my last 3 stables today and the last of trees as well. So far the only stable to speak of was my first Blue Jay stall. I've only opened a few of the trees but I did get my first white poplar from them. Not a bad haul at all so far.

 

You're better than me, illy, I still don't understand the trade function . In events in which it is offered, I just pretend it isn't there, then I don't get myself in unintended trouble ... too easy for me to do that without attempting something extra, lol. Got the CR, and will leave givers out until end of event to get as much of the good stuff as I can. I've gotten 6 mystery seedlings and 7 mystery stables, which I'll wait until I have all 8 of each before setting out, plus 7 of 8 of the SG. Next I'll try to get at least one of the crates of buffs, as I got like 6 100% harvest buffs last time I opened them (I save all crates, trees, and stables until I have a goodly amount before opening, I feel it improves the odds.) Crossing my paws I'll get a dormouse and tule, as I have neither. I know I should be pulling event crops from my fields and start planning for next event, but am inclined to keep growing as long as feasible to maximize goodie collection.

I see from the preview calendar we'll have 2 events running simultaneously, Valentine's boardgame and Carnival, wondering if we'll be growing on both mainland and Baha? Plus G&T, will make for a busy weekend on the farm.

 

Congrats to all who have reached their goals!! I have my CR up and running and the got an extra set of givers, all the PF, ssg, and some sg! I got 2 trees that turned into trees I had a lot of already and 1 dormouse pen that I will harvest in another 20 min!

edit: My pen turned into an "Orange Peacock" I now have a total of 70!!

 

Ugg, and once upon a time it was 1 event every 3 months, then 1 a month. How did we progress to 2 at a time, weekly?

I feel like I am missing something with this event. I'm not, I got the cloud row, and did the givers twice because they do hand out an ok amount of ep. Got a couple trees and pens but haven't put them out yet. Baby farm is nowhere near getting that cloud row, just not enough drops.

 

I remember those days, ct; I can remember actually getting bored and HOPING for an event . Now there's never even time to take a breath in between, despite many, many farmers begging for a break. It's become more and more difficult to get excited about events and easier to not care if I don't finish. But I still like my farm, and my farm friends and family . Good luck with the trees and pens, I'll be putting mine out shortly.

If we've downloaded the standalone client, can we not access Unity on our browsers? When I try to load from my browser, I get the download the client message, but no ability to access Unity. Just wondering if I'm the only one. Also, I've noticed since the final switch to Unity/client I'm losing many of my high ranking neighbors, which depresses me.

 

Are you clicking the little Close box 'X' in the top right corner of the download client message? It pops up everytime you sign in using a browser as a new front end message. Just close the box and the game loads. I've not downloaded the client but you should be able to switch between them.

I have to agree, 1 every 3 months was a bit long, but it was a new game. But lets face it, weekly events bring in more $$. It is a business after all
