Lovely photos! I rather like your thought of Mocha, but Cocoa would also fit well. Beautiful rich brown color for the young lady!

I love the name Ayla for Elsa's little girl. The babies are both so pretty.

A huge hiatus between babies but last night this bull calf was born, my first white this season and the two remaining will not be white. He is smallest so far but not worried about him as he was an octopus on steroids,,, he escaped from weighing harness three times before I got a weight on him and I am covered in iodine spray - more on me than his navel..
TBH I am a little flat though as we had to say goodbye to our elderly dog today but life has to go on.

I'm so very sorry to hear of the passing of your dog.:cry: I seem to remember your dogs being black labs. We also lost our black lab about 4 years ago. They are sweet, loving and very loyal breed.
What a miraculously gorgeous new white baby boy. His little pink nose is adorable!;)

On one hand, the bull calf looks so sweet and fluffy, like a living cotton ball. I want to plop on the ground next to him and pet him for a couple of hours.

On the other hand, I am very sorry for the loss of your dog. I wish there was something we could do to ease your pain.

White baby boy has been called Albus but I think I'll call him Albi while still a baby as it's a name to grow into.
And here's a picture of Hazel, wondering why I'm sitting in the grass. :)

No new babies for now, but Twiglet due any day and Katya mid June I think. Very spread out this year.
Twiglet late as I withdrew her from rut, for a few weeks, as she was run lame and Katya very late as I waited until she had all clear from specialist vet after her stabbing. The difference in size of babies will be vast!

Beautiful picture of Hazel. I hope all goes well for Twiglet and Katya, especially Katya after what she went through.

Extra blessings for the late babies, that they will do well before winter; and for the moms to prosper with no problems. Hazel has such interesting markings; can't wait to see how she looks in several months.

BoHoKaren We follow your posts( and in facebook) with excitement and curiosity. Your reindeer are gorgeous.
You named your reindeer cubs Hazel and Ayla. How did you think of these names? These names are the names of my nation (Turkish names). I was happy to see the names. :music:

Twiglet has finally produced a very lively baby boy this afternoon

But we are very sorry to report that we have lost both babies Nischa & Albus, hence being rather quiet on here. We are devastated, and as yet cause unknown, which makes it even harder. They were both bleeding profusely from the rectum but with normal pellets pooh. Necropsies were not possible on either due to labs being closed for Holiday weekend but we have sent samples of remaining "healthy" (hopefully) calves pooh to labs to see if there is any unwanted bacteria. Another possibility is one of the first time mother's who is rather "handy" with her hooves and maybe she stamped on them while laying down... We just don't know.
