Not sure this event is doable. I need 400 coins to get both the cloud row giver upgrades and upgrades to Joe's diner but after 53 games I only have 58 coins. Have I missed something here perhaps. The patches that give the coins are few and far between, and, yes, I did buy more swap buttons and am using as many as I can. Please give more coin patches so we are in with a chance.

I agree the patches that give star coins are very hard to come by even with swap buttons. With the variety of things to purchase in the event shop with our star coins, I would prefer not to have to purchase upgrades that are required in order for the cloud row to be serviceable. I would be very disappointed that I would not be able to gain other event rewards because I had to use so many star coins for the upgrades just to be able to activate the CR. The worry over getting enough star coins takes a lot of the fun out of this event....feels a lot like the fishing event trying to get pearls. Why does the CR need an upgraded giver anyway?

I usually like this event, particularly for the extra prizes we can pick up and that we can choose what we spend our coins on. But, as already said, it is not very exciting spending coins when we are not given the opportunity to earn that many without using switches. I used four switches and got no blue squares so how expensive is it likely to be to get the two upgrades, let alone anything else. :wuerg:

I am sorry to say that my philosophy for events has changed - I no longer MUST do every event nor finish it if I do participate. I work out if it is possible to do with the minimum of disruption to a life outside of Farmerama and if the prizes are worth it. 8)

I am just playing the game, not bothering with switching until the very end and just see what happens. Worse case scenario: I don't get the CR or won't be able to activate it because I didn't get enough coins for the upgrades. Even then, I can spend any coins on something other than the CR. :)

This is not actually how I want to play but I am not going to stress about not finishing any more - finishing has become a bit of a rare thing for me! -.-

I agree with everything above. I usually love this event, and I have gone all in on this round, but it is tedious. Usually we get what we need from doing the tiles, and we spend our coins on other items - this feels punitive and quite honestly, a little bit mean. I too have completely changed my outlook on events - I usually only do every third or fourth one, if it looks enjoyable or has a prize that I want. One by one, farmers of every type are being alienated by the event styles.

I also agree with all the above - in fact it is these various changes made to how we used to do Events that has made me a part-time player now after being here since 2012...Soooo....

I have changed my outlook on doing Events, not stressing about getting them done at all....and WOW!! I am actually having a bit of fun again just doing the parts that do not require undue sacrifice, and not even caring if I get anywhere near finishing!

My goal now with any Events that I feel like doing is to simply do an event as long as it remains fun and NOT stressful at all.

What a great difference this has made in enjoying this game!....my farm is prosperous, having recently hit the $10 Billion CC mark, and doing well - and as a result, I am also. I can actually come here and de-stress again, rather than the other way around!

*So...I'm back to loving this fun event (one of my favorites), and not caring if I get a cloud row or not, or anything else - just having fun playing the game.:inlove: Hmmmm...feels more like the Good Old Days!!:inlove:;):D

Well said and ditto to that.
There is a definite sense that BP has a philosophy of dangling a carrot and then deliberately making it hard to achieve. So, I will try to achieve but no stress if I don't.
In this event, making us use our first two hundred stars to finalize the cloud row is decidedly rather horrid, but that is the nature of the beast who likes to put in road blocks. BP has a cynical attitude that likes it's customers to fail. Very weird in a customer/consumer society.

I don't like that the cloudrow is unusable unless you get the upgrades for the robot with the coins that are very hard to come across.

Thank you for the enjoyable event! Well, with the caveat I do as I go and DO NOT STRESS ABOUT THE JUNK. If I get it, awesome. If I do not, that is ok. I do not read the FAQ anymore so I do not even know what I'm missing. NOOOOO STRESS!

I will need to edit. As I progressed and realized all my little coins are going on a prize I do not really get to choose... I am upset about it. What is the point, just another requirement! And... for a cloud row I may not get!
OOOOOOMMMMMMMMM.... no stress.... Not stressing!!!! -.-

I like that each harvest of the two fields, I get 1212 net crops (1x1, CAC) and that neatly divides into 10 fabric tiles with a few left over. Coupled with a 3 1/4 hour crop there is plenty of scope to keep playing the mini game if I choose to attend each harvest on time.
This is a pleasant contrast to recent slow achieving events...

I know everyone says don't stress about what you can't achieve in this game any more and all of my friends with Farmerama OCD have long since left, but I for one still don't like events where you not only can't achieve the main objective (cloud row) but where can't get the needed items to fulfill a long term upgradable item like Joe's Diner.

I now have a cloud row that will forever remain incomplete and I will always be at least one upgrade short of the full potential of Joe's Diner.

The number of star coins needed in the shop in relation to the number available in the game were just wrong. Someone said punitive and mean, and I agree.

In fact, in my opinion, star coins should be like Farm coins and we should keep them from event to event.

I also having a rethink about doing events, to look at it to see if it is fun and enjoyable without stress or strain, usually Strain is drops related because it can be so random or so generous

I now Look at Events FAQ, The first this i read is Event Rewards to see if this event is really worth doing the whole event or just part of the event and make do with some useful rewards or resources to my farming style so i am content to keep enjoying Farming

For Example: Event Cloud Row (Is it really worth Getting, Does it help us with our Quests.....This Cloud Row can be activated every 12 Hours.....I only harvest my Cloud Rows every 24 Hours because i manually harvest them most of the time except when i activate full harvester....

In reality this Cloud Row would only be idle for 12 hours on Daily Basis, Also is gives 100 x Farm Level CC, but i make lots of CC selling stuff in the markets, so this does not appeal to me, which made me change my tactic to spend Star Coins on Joe's Diner Upgrades instead and any surplus star coins to purchase anything that has real use to my farming style of gaming

Over the Bank Holiday Weekend i was not able to reap so many event crops or drops, so i had Fantastic Time with my deaf friends in Tenby, I got sunburned :p;) i used Zero Degrees Tactic to move onto next game using only two tiles my best was 59 Star Coins

I dont fret too much about Events i just wait to see what rewards these events has to offer I dont have OCD really i just give it a try to see what i can get from these events be grateful then move onto next event as some events are more rewarding than others ;)

    Clashstrummer Count Count

I seemed to like this event more than others although I do admit the CR is not exactly exciting. I liked the shorter-timed crop when coupled with a decent drop rate. Mostly I enjoyed that in a small amount of time I could have a large number of fabrics to play with. This was much better than only having one or two items to use in the mini-game and having to wait days to get anywhere. As far as the mini-game once I figured out there was a strategy to it and took another player's advice on how to maximize my coin count I enjoyed it a great deal.

No one else has addressed this, so here's my two cents: The baskets that were available for purchase were awful. There was no "good" option in my opinion. And that is coming from a player who routinely purchases baskets for events. The baskets had too many swap buttons (we could only use 6 per board!) and no SG and SSG.

It was also entirely too difficult to get star coins for many farms. If you're going to make getting them that difficult, you need to drop the number of them required to purchase the goodies.

I think it's just sad that I got the cloud row but couldn't use it because I didn't have enough star coin to upgrade it 2x. Once you earned it you should be able to use it, it just made this event frustrating. I don't know if anyone was able to earn 200 star coins and have leftover to exchange for other items.

I paid. Sucker!! Sorry I did, it just reinforces their bad behavior. I determine again NOT TO SPEND MONEY to complete an event!!!

I find it very unfair, that items needed in cloud row depends on how lucky you are to get needed coins.

This is FARMING game, not gambling. If we want to gamble, we play other games.

In the end I got both horticultural upgrades and one of the four Joe's diner upgrades. I have made a point of never looking up what the diner would produce with all the upgrades.
