I am also very sorry to hear of your Mom's decline. I hope you know you have done all that you can to ease her pain and she definitely knows that she's loved and adored.
Your Mom and you and your lovely family are in my prayers.

 

Reading all this has left a lump in my throat, surpassed by the one in my heart. Words become inadequate - yet these beautiful and loving notes here for you, your family, and Mom have well expressed the sadness in all our hearts at saying goodbye to such a dear person.
As you know, she is also my spiritual Sister, knowing each other's hearts and minds without words, and sharing the same Hope that our loving God has promised in His word, the Bible. As it is impossible for God to lie, (Titus 1: 2) and we are reassured in
Matthew 19:26 that "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.", we can have a sure hope of the fulfillment of God's tenderly loving promises found in Revelation 21: 3-5.

She knows these things, and they are wonderful comforts for the heart.
May they also bring comfort to your hearts, and Peace to your family.

I'm so sorry, puppiesnponies. No one should have to watch a loved one suffer like this.

But short of providing her with medical assistance in dying (which may or may not be the right decision for your family assuming it's even legal where you live), I don't think there is anything more you could have done to ease her suffering even if you had all the money and power in the world. Let's just hope the antibiotics do their job and clear up that nasty infection.

I know it's hard but hang in there and keep talking to her even if she's not responsive. Read her the bible, pray with her, talk about all the good times you shared, etc. It may not feel like enough but all you can do is make the best of a terrible situation.

Wishing you and your mom strength and perseverance to get through the days ahead.

Mom is now resting with our loving Heavenly Father. She passed away yesterday morning. All of my sisters, my daughter and I were with her. Today is full of final decisions for her but I am taking comfort in the familiar routine of early morning harvest of the farm.

 

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mum. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am posting more sad news as I cannot write each friend and neighbor individually. I have not been home in 6 days as I have been with sister.

My long time friends and neighbors know my sister was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer almost 9 years ago. We have been so blessed to have had this time with her. The cancer has now spread and all treatment options exhausted. She was hospitalized a week ago for liver failure due to the cancer. We hope to bring her home in the next day or two to make her comfortable. Doctor has estimated we have perhaps 4 weeks left. She is a mother to 2 children, ages 13 and almost 10. I have no words....

Please know that all the sweet messages over the years with encouragement and support have been appreciated. I am sorry for all the delays in responding but promise to when time and emotion allow. For my neighbors, if you have seen my light on, it is because my sweet daughter harvested the roses for the Carnival event for me. I will be not able to participate in any event in the foreseeable future so please send your gifts to others.

That's all I can manage for now....
