To complete the Carnival Queen event and win the CR without doing the Support Quest, you need to mill 49 Floral Baskets and play 49 games (one free Floral Basket given at start of event).

Maths (always a bit dodgy with me):

Sweetheart Roses: 325 x 49 = 15,925
Candy Baskets: 49 x 19 = 931

With the Support Carnival Quest, you will win 65 Floral Baskets without having to mill anything (if I have read the FAQs correctly).

Sweetheart Roses = 15,425
Candy Baskets = 960

A few more crops but less drops for the first option but as it requires milling, I think I will be going for the second option. Plus, you don't need to do every step to get the CR if the number of crops and drops are too high. In fact, you can get 50 Floral Baskets just doing all the Silver levels.

As I have said before, I am not good at doing the sums or indeed reading FAQs, so put me straight if you see any glaring error(s).

Definitely the support quest is the way to go to get the floral baskets. Dont mill for them.
Milling 15925 roses and 931 Candy baskets gets 49 Floral Baskets (excluding the freebie at the start)

By doing the support quest you can get a total of 65 Floral Baskets for roughly the same output (see Illy's figures). If you just want to do the 50 baskets you only need to complete the Silver task of all 4 levels (13550 roses and 810 Candy baskets). Bring on the candy.

Now the big question is: Do I really want the silo upgrades or shall I spend the goodies on piccolo boxes ? Just not seeing the joy with the silo affecting Baha givers.
Edit: Just got a nudge to remember that the silo upgrades lead to crates of supplies, so I might go that route instead.

 

Thank you illy for getting us started I normally love math but today, even with using all 4 puppy paws and 4 pony hooves, I didn't attempt to count due to this terrible headache.

I will do as many mini games as I can since I would like the silo upgrades, Crates O Neon and the Piccolo Wonder boxes. That's a lot of star coins! I hope the Queen throws them often

ct ~ the last few upgrades of the silo give EP as well as TEP for givers.

And I'm trying to take real good care of Illy-the-ladybug's friends here. (Illy-the-ladybug has 66,913 friends here and is sadly #14 which puts here on page 3 of the barn farm animals.) Your friends are getting real expensive here.

Well y'all can call me "pirate bunny" today. I am recovering from cataract surgery. This is so much fun! (gee, I wish there was a sarcasm font.)

Anyway, I'm going the support quest route as well. Hoping I can see well enough to farm and to catch as many star coins as possible. Hoping they are easy to distinguish from the country coins (both will be silver). Hoping that cheeky monkey queen is generous with them...and the other farm goodies, too!

 

Hey dumbunny, I hope you have a speedy recovery from your surgery! I am also going the "Quest route" and hope we get lots of drops on the 3 island lands AND lots of "star coins" to catch in our floral baskets! I am going after the 3 piccolo boxes in the event store!

 

I missed the last Carnival Queen, So i Try make the most of it with this event, As i still have Jack O Gift which going to help any Harvest Booster will Help

I too will be working on the Quest First like you said do all of 1st Level first

The Cloud Row gives +1 WorkShop every 22 Hours that is real bonus when we have Happy Workshop day, combined with 100% workshop booster

This new incentive with motivate me to finish off all pending workshop quests, it is very hard and very expensive to build Pink Workshops i dont have any anyway

The way our market is many workshops need two critters and Animal Feed for most workshops, not very productive without Buff Boosters as if you combined Animal Feed and Critters needed it cost more than you buy these workshops from the market, most of them anyway.....Outside Happy workshop Day they take too long to grow to my liking

On the plus side we have Main Field, Green Meadow and The Glade to stock up our farms or work on pending Quests

Dumbunny wish you speedy recover My Lady Pirate , I wear glasses i am thinking getting my eyes checked it possible my need doing, so not need to wear glasses as it is pain when wearing Face Mask they get steamed up to easy, cant see or read instructions well

This new Silo will be requiring upgrades just bear in mind we have four events including this one to get upgrades for it ......The TEP from this does not appeal to me nor does to all those who are at level 600 on Baha

Levelling up Baha is not very appealing to me as it not very rewarding to level up plus i have so many Golden Bananas it just crazy i certain avoiding collect golden bananas just wish had swap shop of Golden Bananas for Star Coins

The Event announcement has start/end times. FAQ has dates only

My first free game gave me 12 star coins! Lots of good things for my farm too. Hope everyone reaches their own farm goal for this one

 

I started the event 5 hours late, as I thought the event would start at its usual time. This is not good for me, because I will only have internet for tomorrow. I think my internet will be shutting down tomorrow because I am moving, it may take three or five days for me to move and settle in. I also need to apply for internet package. So I only have one day left. I will miss my neighbors and friends.

I am starting late, too! RL got in the way. And I have an appointment for a surgery check at 1 p.m. so today is shot. Oh well. So far, so good. Still being "pirate-y". Checking my email and taking care of some business on the interwebs this morning was oh-so-fun. I had to ask the DH for his help.

Get well soon dumbunny! Those star coins aren't very forthcoming. Like last time the basket seems to glitch and get stuck. Hoping that's graphics only and not real performance.
