    Hi everyone,
I am very unfamiliar with Moonlight Mania event and I really don't know what to do. I just have a few crops, one tentacle willow tree and one darklight firefly lair.
FSQ's and Jack's Shop wants things that I don't have. I look for how can I get the things that I don't have and realize I need much more things that I don't have. It's like a endless loop.
What is the starting point? Should I finish specific FSQ's first or should I try to get some specific things from Jack's Shop? Right now I am just aimlessly growing moonlight crops and getting the numbers up.
I need the help and advices of the experienced farmers for a roadmap on what to do in Moonlight Mania event.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Open the fields in the mushroom forest as soon as you can so you have that 2nd field. (These are in the FSQ quests)
As you come across items you don't have in those quests, check in Jack's Shop for them and grow whatever you need to get them.
Avoid "spooky" stables - they are just a variation of stables you can get elsewhere on your farm.
There are many deco items in Jack's shop, so make sure you leave those for later. Focus on getting at least one of each tree and stable.
I have 30 crops available and I think they were initially given to us, plus 5 more given whenever you have zero of that crop in stock.

Most of all, be patient! It takes a long time to complete most things since Moonlight Mania is not on all the time. Don't expect to complete Moonlight events right away, just do what you can - or just continue trying to open things.

Hope this is helpful. Someone else may have different advice. It's been a LONGGG time since I started and dealt with the beginnings of Moonlight Mania and it wasn't even exactly the same back then. I think I got a bat and a crow first, and then opened breeding for them. That was a big deal years ago, I'm not sure it is now!

EDIT: Maybe next time there is a gift and trade you can get some items from other players. I'm not sure they are available, but it doesn't hurt to check!

Your first MM is to get to know what is needed and wanted to get further with MM and the game.

Once you have an idea of what is needed and wanted work on it. As I have recently returned to the game I looked at the quests to open the fields and wrote a list of what is needed then started working on that - the list may be long be you will get there.:)

Good luck and have fun with MM

Edit: Your future MMs will become easier. It also helps if you use 1x1 plots, harvest helper, and CAC (Carrot and Apple Chutney) once you have built up your seed supply.

    Happy Farming :)

there are some moonlight mania pens in the shop that requires farm coins ( the orange ones) they are located at the far right end of the items. you might get some of the pens you need that way. codyj #44475068

    Thanks for all the replies.
Picked some FSQ's that could help and made a list of what crops I need. Used 1x1 plots with CAC and terror bouquet. Bought 3 firefly stable and 3 tentacle tree from Jack's Shop. Now I have over 250 of every crop and I say this was a great progress. Thinking about getting more firefly stables next time.
I want to open Crystall Falls with farm coins so I don't think I will be able to get pens with farm coins in near future. Definitely will consider though.
Hoping that experienced players will continue to share their opinions and advices so the newcomers will have a plan for MM and relatively easier first times.

sedomances well done, glad we could help.

Unfortunately with 2 nights of sleep and planting the wrong crop once or twice I didn't make my goal of bat breeding, but I am well set for the next MM.

    Happy farming,
    Eonn

    Hello sedomances!

MM is a tricky one because of how little time we can work on it, and most times there is an event running... As I normally can't finish events 100% I just ignore the event and focus on FSQ. My main priority is to open the Mushroom Forest fully, so I am working on those, 1 to go! Then I also went through all the MM FSQ and took note of which ones have trees and stables as prizes, like the Moonlight Thriller has an ember beach at the end and other quests have "wonder" style trees as well, which saved me from having to buy many trees and stables in the Jack's Shop. I have also been kindly gifted some items during G&T from other more experienced farmers that had extra (which naturally happens with the years).
Something else I would recommend keeping an eye on is that in Jack's Shop you might need some trees to then buy other ones, so have a list of which ones you need first as your priorities and whenever the MM are open just work your crops towards those goals!

Thanks for the reply. I hope you can open the Mushroom Forest fully in the next MM :)

The FSQ's I want to do first are :

Jack's Back (gives cloud row for %10 faster MM crop production),

The Firefly (gives 2 Dark Queen's Apple Tree and 2 darklight firefly stable),

And of course Mushroom Forest quests. These two are easy to get I think but Mushroom Forest quests wants a bit more time. I guess after 3-4 MM's I can open half of the Mushroom Forest at least. If there is any recommendation on which FSQ's are good at beginning, I am more than happy to hear.

A small tip, some minutes before MM finishes, plant a moonlight seed that has a very high growth rate. When MM is back, it will be ready to be harvested. You won't lose precious time to grow it next time.

Also, since there are a LOT of items and quests that require MM products, use them wisely. Make a priority list and try to get as many items as possible without spending MM stuff. For example, purchase the horror tomato stable for Farm Coins. I'm gonna do this, even if I have the goal of unlocking the Crystal Waterfalls.

Looking at my list, some other nice easy FSQ:

Best Friends Forever: 6x ghost eerie wonder trees + 6x slime eerie wonder trees
    The Hungry Oak: same
    Monstrous Babysitters: same
The Big Shiver: 7x ghost eerie wonder trees
    And several others!

Thank you, already did that :) I am not sold on spending farm coins for MM rather than Bahamarama though.

Thanks a lot @xiop for The Big Shiver. Did not know there is a quest that wants normal farm stuff and gives MM things.
