Thank you, again! Yes, this makes sense. Far be it from me to know how algorithms work :)

The only thing I spend money on in the game is the harvester subscription, so I only use 'free' buffs: water, whatever manure I have on hand and rewards from events or the wheel. Thank you for your kind offer, but I don't even know what a tiki timer is or if I'm a high enough level to use it. I'm still figuring out cloud rows and have one up and running with buffs from Eggs & Bunnies Day. Not sure what to put on blank rows or if it's better to keep the buffs in the park for their EP/TEP :D

I am averaging about 53 to 55 Compasses harvesting Voodoo lily using water and manure, getting roughly 4 harvests per 24 Hours so it just more or less 200 compasses per Day as this is 5 day event, Just growing Voodoo lilies as we need 5980 of them so we need to have 10 harvests just using CAC so on average this crop alone only reap you 500 to 550 Compasses Just growing Voodoo lilies will take about two half days to do just using water and manure:oops:

Leaving you to grow 11380 Buckabear Bushes within remaining 2 and Half Days, which will for sure give you much less drops of compasses, as you and I will be needing 1110 to 1160 compasses for total of 1660 compasses it is possible but you would have be prepared to consume 1000+ Super Grow :p:wuerg:

There hardly any time remaining to grow Lab Lab beans using Buffs and Tiki Timers, water and manure it would be crazy to use Super Grow as you will going to need loads of SG if i was you i would save your SG for more achievable realistic events i have many thousands of them it just not logical for me to use SG to get those remaining compasses :wuerg:

You can read here, what Tiki timer is: https://board-en.farmerama.com/threads/supergivers.7443/#post-23981
There is also Cloud row, which gives them.

I think we cannot produce or buy the tiki mask. Thanks to a generous farmer friend gifting me, I can use it and I am very grateful to him. I hope the farmers can get the tiki mask as an event reward.

If anyone is in need of tiki timers, message me I will gift it to you. I am still chasing drops. I am not sure if I will get enough drops to get the piccolo box. Finishing first part with 1st set of crops is easy. But getting the second part drops is going to be tough. And piccolo box is at the end of the second part.

The drop levels are ridiculous and impossible. I am nearly done with the voodoo lilies and I still need nearly 600 drops before I can even think about starting to grow the other crops

Good morning, from the back of the bayou. Still early hours for me, but wanted to say, I harvested a full 1x1 field of bonnet cactus (15hr crop) and got 62 compass. A mere drop in the bucket of what's needed :D

Out of the game for a while. Have a wonderful day all, and thanks to everyone for very helpful sharing :inlove:

I'm waiting for my for my final harvest of buccabear bushes. I started off with one harvest of lab lab beans (got a drop of about 180 compasses) and have now got 314 compasses (averaging 20 compasses per buccabear harvest). After this harvest, I am going to plant a couple of rounds of lab lab beans (using 2 craft and tiki timers) to get enough compasses to finish this round and start the second one. I'll then plant voodoo lillys with the time remaining to get some of the rewards of that round. There's no way I'll get the second lot of compasses for the piccolo box as I'm not going to waste SG for it.

If anyone wants a compass, let me know as I have a few spots vacant.

Good luck everyone...we're gonna need it!!

Update: received 103 compasses from a harvest of lab lab bean :(

The first part is easy with a good strategy but the second part is rated "hard" for a reason. Growing event crops for both sections with just CAC + water and manure is not enough. Planting longer vegetables such as lablab-beans on 1x1s at 9:35 per round will also likely not be enough for many farmers trying to complete the second part.

If someone tried to grow event crops around the clock for both parts with nothing but CAC + water and manure, there would only be a little over 9 hours left to produce the missing drops if starting with voodoo lilies and a little under 10h left to produce the missing drops if starting with buccabear bushes. If they're not willing to sacrifice sleep, there simply isn't enough time to grow all the event crops this way, let alone plant longer vegetables to get the remaining drops.

That's why most farmers have to create time for producing compasses by reducing the amount of time they spend growing event crops with the help of harvest bonuses and/or other resources; if event crops are being grown on CFs, pineapple cake should be used instead of CAC to maximize yield. And then to reduce the amount of SG used, some farmers have to be willing to experiment with different vegetables and plot sizes to see which combination produces drops in the least amount of time while still guaranteeing that each SG is yielding a drop at a 1:1 ratio.

It's important to remember that the drop rate for a 1x1 is 1/4 that of a 2x2; so the drop rate for 4 1x1s = drop rate for 1 2x2. I explained this in more detail HERE.

Applying SG to a vegetable whose duration is too short and only yields drops from a fraction of the available plots is a waste of resources. Applying SG to a vegetable whose duration is too long for a 2x2, for example, will guarantee 1 drop per unit of SG but you're wasting precious space and time that could be put to better use since each plot can only yield a maximum of one drop.

A long time ago (if memory serves), I grew cassava on 2x2s with SG to generate drops quickly because I was only missing a small amount of drops and that worked best for me. Another farm with different farming conditions might have to grow bell peppers on 2x2s to get the same amount of drops. Others might find papyrus/habanero/chayote on 1x2s work best for them. There is no easy one-size-fits-all answer here, and that's a huge part of the reason why many find this type of event so challenging.

The CR from Neon Stables Event 6, which is where I get mine.

    Ditto!

    CR up and running.
Now the hard part begins :)
I keep planting bell peppers. Drops from 9+1 howie to 45-49 aren't bad. (3 hours with tiki timer+water+manure+2 craft)
The strategy of my other farmer friends may be different . Planting bell peppers, which suits my online hours.

I wish I have a whole forest of Magic trees, they would be the best help to get drops.
I still need 10 drops to get cloud row and 20 more to get another event plant.

As per normal, I'm really starting to think about not doing these types of Baha events at all. The drop rate is always abysmal. Trying to finish the first part with voodoo lily only to be nearly 400 drops short. 400! For half way! It's the same every time they do this on Baha. Every Single Time. Last time I didnt get close to finishing entirely, and decided not to go for the second half. I just cant afford the SG to waste on crop growing just for drops. When this first half is done, so am I. Not doing it, not even for a piccolo. ;)
Good luck to everyone going for the full run.

    Hi!
What is the best way to get compasses without money? I have almost all the voodoo lilies but only half of the compasses I need. Still some hours left but all the help is needed.

Kind neighbours sending drops as daily gift.

Long time plants. Growing time can be reduced with buffs and there are also cloud rows, which reduce time of certain plant groups.

Harvest cloud rows which increases drop rates in Bahamarama just before harvesting Plantation.

All 3 of my participating farms have the cloudrow and have moved onto the second half with the 4 hour crop.

Agreed: crops aren't the issue. It's the drops. You either buy a basket or spend BBs to get the deficit covered.

Overnight long crops are a must. Last night I planted that new one (16.5 hours)...hoping it's long enough.

Two more harvests to get Cloud row growing Buccabear bushes. I have enough drops on hand to finish the first half and start the 2nd half (871) but while I think I could finish the event completely, I am sticking to my original plan and stopping at the cloud row. That will ensure I am comfortably, stress free without worrying about crops/drops.

Congrats to those who are meeting their event goals and good luck to those still working hard.

Lots of great advice here and for me, this event is another learning experience. For those of us below level 100 Main, I think the going is slow no matter how much we do as we just don't have the resources. Likely most of us don't have the cloud row. My Baha level is much higher, but I've not opened long growing Baha veggies like the lab lab. My longest veggie is a six-hour crop so I plant the next to last longest growing crop in my inventory: Bonnet cactus. The saguaro cactus of 24-hrs is a non-starter for me. At least in my mind, I'd waste an entire day growing it for drops without the assurance it would yield the entire amount needed. I'm thinking maybe next time I'll try the 8hr crop rather than the 4hr crop and see how I do. As mentioned, I'm taking all these as learning/progressing experiences. I'm like a turtle - here for the slow slog :D

1679 compasses at the moment, 850 of which have already been delivered, leaving 829 in the barn for the Piccolo.

I let my Howies do the heavy lifting so I didn't have to worry about drops. :music:

Still have a shedload of buccabear bushes left to grow so I'm just trying to harvest as often as I can with water and manure. This is the most stressful part of the event for me - harvesting every 3 hours. :wuerg:

Good to see you back, 007Farming! :D
