Upa70, thanks for starting the strategy thread!

I'm all in on the usual 3 farms. It's a must have cloud row! Edited to add: Well phooey! Just popped over to the FAQ for the event. I see it's been updated and the CR will give +1 for grains only instead of all crops. Still a nice CR, just not as "must have" as it was before that little update.

Normally, I start with the MM crop for these type events, but Northy sent me a message yesterday suggesting that it might be wiser to start with Bahamarama crop this time around to maximize the output of the repeating deliverables - Power feed!

Only grains - useless CR to me, on level 600 in Baha, minimal EP to main farm (to level 300 that 13000 years, no need to try that!)... "all" FSQ-series "need Flax" (grains) all-ready done... Just funny planting and get FIRST that mashine with 1h Coupong!

edit: just same to my man "Nuubi"... useless also to "Nuubi"...

Honestly, the "grains" category of crops is woefully neglected in the game. We have multiple CRs that give +1 for flowers, others and veggies. There is exactly ONE cloud row that currently gives a +1 for grains: The Great Chase VI - gives +1 for 3 hours; resets every 40 hours. Of all my farms, only sewinglady's farm has that CR...not sure why...maybe it was hard to achieve?

So obviously having a cloud row that gives +1 on anything is a nice buff. Is it really useless on grains after we reach a certain level in the game? I don't think so, and I've been playing this game for almost 10 years now. Let's see just how useful it can be: #1 - baha - yeah, being at level 600 stinks, but we're still playing our baha fields, right? I don't know about anyone else, but I often run a short timed crop like sugarcane or wheat when I'm busy taking care of mini-games during an event, and sometimes first thing in the morning or when I'm restructuring fields. That +1 comes in handy because it doesn't require a buff slot. When you want to concentrate on boosting your numbers on wheat or sugarcane (or any other grain) doubling down with a cloudrow plus the buff slot items (oatbread for wheat, the pineapple-mango mask for sugarcane), you can get good numbers for quick harvests.

As for high level crops - Amaranth. Need I say more? I had it out on sewinglady's main field overnight and I have all the drops I need for this event. And yes, I activated that existing CR to get extra harvest on that amaranth.

I love all +1 cloud rows, grains, flowers, products, tree fruits, stalls...:inlove: They are never useless in this game. This is a quick one, only 20h. Now I can collect it daily when I grow quick wheat or hay and sugarcane to fill my barn, not to mention long crops. Seasons requires much short time crops (and longer, but I prefer giving those short ones)- I want that Okapi and Sonny, I believe we'll get another souvenir row some day.

Thanks to Amaranth (harvested with another +1 CR) and Ixora (+1 Baha flower CR) and some crops and trees on Moonlight area, I have all drops I need. No need to grow instant Amaranth. I did not read FAQ much, just fields and drops and CR, so I did not notice timed givers, I could have started with another plant.

If I remember right, Amarath is level 285 (?) crop (there is a question about it in board game -event)? I´m in my grave before that level... now +2 level per year... or was it 245 level... still need to play 5-7 years minimum if that was 245-levelcrop...

Sorry about our family post (anki74 and me mentioned) wroted by me, in my Bäd-Inglish... Anki74´s Inglish is much more bääd so I write her post´s too, in her permission !!! ...

*** so SORRY ALL, that was OUR opinion about that CR, but EVERYBODY has his/her own opinion... ***

edit: finding post that says "Amaranth and it is now a Permanent Crop from level 234"

    edit2:
uups... I only need 2543 millions EP to get that Amaranth ! o_O:eek:xD:wuerg: (and anki74 some +200 millions more)

The +1 grains CR will come in very handy for growing meadow grass on Baha to feed not just okapis, but also kakapos, gazelles, zebras, and camels. And there are other animals that require other grains for feed too.

It will also be useful for the rainbow corn I hope to grow one day when I reach level 246. Also known as Glass Gem corn, it's such a beautiful crop in real life with a fascinating story behind it. :inlove: Really looking forward to growing it in the hopes that BP will come out with some new high-level FSQs asking for crops that we've unlocked post-amaranth.

Not to mention +1 amaranth is +1250 EV per plot I can use to donate to any FSQ or event asking for a large amount crops in terms of EV. We're expecting storage buildings for decos soon (many thanks to 12ss12 for keeping the EN forum updated on rumors) and this buff may help with unlocking blueprints for more slots.

These are just some of the reasons why I find a +1 grains buff to be valuable even at my level. *points to siggy*

P.S. Yes, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But I think it's good to have veteran farmers offering counter-opinions as well, since newer players who are struggling to find a balance between doing events and building up their farm sometimes look to these strategy threads for advice on whether an event is "worth" doing or not.

    Edit: Good luck, Bisquitte! :)

You can start with next event plant before you have plants to deliver to Special Bonus tile. Previous tile gives the spoon. It is also wise to stash empty bottles in long milling queue, so there will be more than 5 bottles, when needed.

Yes, paaryna11 - I forgot to mention that yesterday. I put in 500 flamingo feed (which takes a week+ to mill with the mill subscription) and behind it I keep any unmilled glass bottles waiting to mill because system will give you 5 every 5 hours. So every time I log into the game, I check and if there's more, I revise the mill order.

Everyone plays this game differently. I find it interesting how we all are playing the same game and yet we all don't have to do it the same way or have the same goals.

The farm wheel has not been kind to my farms the last couple weeks, so yesterday I used buffs to increase harvest on my farms. Sewinglady's farm is done with the baha crop and onto the MM crop. This farm and PM23 are just about done with baha...hoping this morning's harvest finishes it. Honestly, the requirements for this event are pretty low...it's very doable without a lot of green goo or propellers.

@-Päärynä11 and @dumbunny this is a great suggestion..! I didn't know I could save my empty bottles this way. I really like this forum. I will definitely try this clever suggestion. Thanks to everyone who helped us newbies :)

in my opinion, it was a comfortable event with no drop problems. CR was taken at noon. I was lucky this time on the wheel and CR would be nice to have +1 for all crops, I think it would be nice and congratulate the finishers and good luck to the farmers who continue.

Here it goes again "to the butt above the tree"...

I had nothing to play, to the fullest, at least, and I didn't like CR either at first BUT: very good remarks, I saw a "beginner" player like me :) of course 233 levels in Mainland and 600 in Bahamarama, it's not that far yet (<--- humor and self-irony in that direction !!!)

So with all my little permission, I laugh at me, I do it myself :music::wuerg:xD:cry: ...

Share that Why, well, the bonuses are still being chased in the middle of the night (00.13 local time) for that Gold Place effect bar, + 100% field crops (Crate o buffs), namely, all tomorrow during the day.

The conversation needs to be maintained, nowadays I don’t even do this / that drunk because I’ve been alcohol-free for 18
(re-calculate -> 20 is the right !) months tomorrow now!

So with the idea of "obviously you can keep the conversation going on the internet"!

All the best and good luck to everyone, whatever the way and purpose of playing this game. (I actually started when this game had only existed for less than a year).

I haven't even started this event, too busy. :p Busiest time for us, trying to get RL farm irrigation up and running. I apologize to my neighbors for not gifting, we've been gone constantly all week, and will be gone again most if not all of next week, so no event for me. Hope everyone is meeting their goals and above all, having fun! Happy weekend! (Happy Memorial Day to those in US)

Spotsbox - hope you get to take a respite at the end of the day...farming is hard work (the RL kind!) and ranching, too! Since I live smack-dab in the middle of farming/ranching country, I know it's not all fun and games. Especially for Montana right now - the drought - Need I say more?

We have neighbors at the Farmer's Market (which starts June 4th for us!!!!!) that raise miniature cattle. They are so cute! Still a lot of work, though.

So I came here to remind everyone that even after you finish the event, remember to go back to the event pop-up to claim your goodies every 12 and 18 hours! I almost forgot to do that on sewinglady's farm this morning.

The wheel finally gave up a bonus on SL's farm - 200% - was enough to get 'er done on that farm. Crossing fingers for this farm and PM23...not holding breath.

    whats going on with BPo_O
one minute we're struggling for drops on events...then we get an event like this one...which is supposed to be medium-hard completion and the drops are coming thick and fast...i have enough drops to complete this event several times over!!!
if only they could get a decent compromise with regards to drops....not too hard to achieve but not ridiculously easy like this event:eek:

I agree the event is easy one. I thought of skipping the event as I started the event very late. But I can finish the event tomorrow.

It is said we might breed Mammals, Reptiles, Birds, Fish in June. As we are having 1 PF event, I put some fish, reptiles & birds into the breeding house.
