Halloween Monster Hunt

Got the BB tree with 78 games totaling 6,024,570 points.

I ended up sticking with the same strategy I used at the beginning. I don't know if it's the best strategy out there but it's what worked best for me. It's possible I wasn't making the right moves with the other strategies I experimented with and that was why I didn't have as much success with them. I'm too burnt out to care about the optimal strategy at this point so that will have to wait for another day.

The first 30 games or so were okay. I was enjoying the mini-game and averaging over 80,000 points per game, with my 21st game scoring a high of 129,330 points.

After that, it stopped being fun. My eyes hurt. My head hurt. I ran out of patience and stamina for how much time and concentration this mini-game needed. I just wanted to get the games over with so I could reach 6M points and go do something else... anything else. I played the remaining games halfheartedly, being less strategic about my moves and settling for scores in the 50,000 - 70,000 range. I had a video playing in the background in the second half so there were even a couple of times where I was too distracted to notice that I was on my last move and the game ended with me drawing a stupid line for minimal points.

I didn't realize I was on my last game until I got the popup congratulating me on my shiny new BB tree. I was both relieved it was finally over and a little sad that my last game ended on such a mediocre note. So I decided to play one more mini-game to the best of my ability to see if I could beat my high score of 129,330 points. I drew 4 shapes and this was the result:

And that was how I ended the event. As someone who avoids puzzle games of any kind outside of Farmerama, this mini-game was too much for me. Unless I figure out a way to get each game down to under 5 mins, or BP changes the requirements so I can finish the event with 30-40 games (maybe halve the points needed and double the requirements for each mill product), I may have to rethink how I approach this type of event in the future.

By some stroke of halloween magic I've finished and am now proud owner of a BB tree!
It took 99 games, highest score 109950, average per game 60,600.
Congrats to all those who managed to finish. It was a pretty challenging event but good fun in the end.

 

Congrats to all and also to those who got the BB trees and also to all those who accomplished whatever they strove for. I got the cloud row in one of my baby farm too.

 

All farms that participated got the left side prizes. SL's farm played 106 games and got the balloon + giver at step 37 on the right and that was as far as I could go. It was 11:30 p.m. and I was so tired and bleary-eyed I couldn't have told you my name and barely found the door to my bedroom.

Finally worked out how to play mini game after about 20-25 games lol. Enjoyed it though, thought it was a good brain tester for better players. Just managed 5 000 000 with last pillow to get "Box"

 

Well - not so well... short about my goals - played until 15.30 PM our time... go to sleep and - misset those both 2 codes - so many bad-words!
