My internet was down 1 1/2 days. Suddenly, it's back with a service call scheduled for tomorrow! I came here to check how the event is going and for any information/insights from all of you.

I don't think I'm too surprised that BP was being a bit sly with the FAQ for this event - hook us in hopes of getting us spending more $$$. I am a little surprised that they are doing it to this scale on their birthday event, which is supposed to be a celebration! I don't think they understand yet that most people will spend less if they think they are being coerced to spend more!

I've only done the mini-game about 3 times, so I'm on the very easy levels with plenty of time left over. I'll continue on at a leisurely pace and see how far I get. Maybe check the prize list to see if there is anything that I really want to aim for.

Game IDEA itself, is easy, game is NOT easy, BP is not fear... Played 19 games, get 3 times extra prize (and a sticker...)

Now just:

I'm trying to understand that I made a mistake when I wasted about 1000 pieces of SSG and 300 pieces of SG in the heap, and why? Well, not at all, CR is worth nothing when Bahamarama is already level 800 and Farmi itself is level 236 (having reached level 235 Amaranth), so the only small benefit from CR would be points in the form of points from the Full Moon Night point area.

The wages to be bought - well, not quite, not quite, neither in that direction nor in that direction - I get back what I spent. You should already learn that BIRTHDAY events are the worst events in a year, when this has been played for almost 12 years now.

Try to hold on and those who haven't used extra resources, please don't use them. This is my free opinion in the free world, it's not worth it!

I have contacted the support team for the issue that many of us here are mad about. The response has been ignoring. And guess what. I am going to leave this game after I have reached one more goal. That is level 240. Now, I have played this game eleven and a half years. About two months to go...

 

I advise you to play the mini-game calmly. I played it hastily and got stuck in four games. When I got stuck, I refreshed the game and when I reloaded this big mistake, I couldn't get any star coins, pressing the right cross and I just realized this. Good luck to you, Solatido.

 

Traditionally, these birthday items and codes have come on the birthday of January 26.

 

I'm stuck on 20/40. I have played it twice and run out of time and undo moves. It looks like it is going well and I have moved more than 5 macarons but then run out of space to move anything to match and with only 5 undo, I am forced to just X out of the game for 5 star coins.

Anyone have success yet with game 20? Can you offer any tips so I can move on?

Not a fan of having to replay the same game numerous times until you get it right. Would love the option to fail it once and move on and then go back to it if I wanted to or time permitted.

My stats:

Of the 19 games I have played, I have missed the reward 5 times due to not completing in the time allowed. I have extended time once (or maybe twice) but then chose to not worry about some of the rewards. For example, the one that gave 5 farm coins, I couldn't do it on time. I have plenty of those in inventory so not going to waste growing extra crops to extend the time. For the ones I really want, I will extend the time.

All games with the exception of #20, were completed and awarded the 20 star coins.

I don't know how many more attempts I will be willing to do if I can't get past 20. So far, 2 attempts have left me a bit frustrated. This event has multiple things that are upsetting. If there was just one aspect of dismay, that would be manageable, but multiple sources of problems just makes me wish I was not on the birthday invitation list

If anyone can share some strategy for game 20, I would be most grateful

 

I passed it, but I cannot give any specific hints. The harder the games get, you must move macarons back and forth instead trying to get one box ready straight away. I had to play one game three times to finish it. Some took two times. In my last game there were 10 boxes It will be impossible for me to play the last games in required time and many of the played ones. I normally love these kind of sorting games, but the time limit kills all the fun. It just makes me angry I am not pleased getting stickers and other minor prizes from those I passed in time.

 

Thank you for the information about moving macarons instead of filling a box. Perhaps that it is what level 20 needs.

10 boxes! Oh My! That sounds tricky

 

Sewinglady's farm had already grown a whole lotta the event crop, so in playing all those macaron boxes off, I got to level 35. The last 5 I could not and did not extend the timer so no special trees, no goodies from them. I basically didn't care about the goodies at that point. Just wanted to see how hard the levels got. Past level 30 the levels are really hard. And yes, you have to move things back and forth. Look at not only what's in the top of the box, but at the BOTTOM of the box. You have to take a few seconds to study the initial layout, so there's no way to get the extra prize without using an extra macaron box (and by that point, I didn't have any extra, so I was just aiming to beat the puzzle, forget the timer).

So in the end, sewinglady's farm had enough star coins to get the cloud row. There were a handful of the levels that I got the extra prize, but as it progressed, I'd say most I didn't. And now I am completely done with this event...not growing one more event crop. Put up the "gone sewin'" sign and you'll find me downstairs creating pretty things. We all have enough frustration in our lives. We don't need more. We need less. So I'm doing what makes me happy right now. And it ain't farming on farmerama.

 

Two of my farms are slowly playing the event. Two are not. I'm not aiming to get the time prizes. I'm not aiming for the CR. I'm using the star coins for the stables, trees, stars, PF, SG if I can. That's it.

 

I've gotten enough coins to get the prizes I want. I'm not interested in the cloudrow. I'm have some event crops planted now, but I'm not even going to bother to mill boxes from them. I'm done with this.

I totally agree with you @dumbunny. The game mechanics work too slowly to get through it all on the first pass when getting into the 3, 4 and 5 box category, meaning you have to have to extend the time, or have another crack at it if you want the second part of the prize. I switched to touch screen mode to get through them quicker but the graphics dont quite keep up so there is too much double tapping and when you complete a box you lose 2 or 3 seconds while it ties that damn bow. I'm out now too when this last harvest is finished. Although the cloud row is quite good, it's not worth the bother.

 

anybody tried doing level 20?? by the time you realise you've gone the wrong way..."5 undo the moves" is not enough so you have to restart the level.....5 boxes, 4 different types to sort in 20 seconds...come on BP ......you're having a laugh!

Yes, I had to reset the timer twice to get through it. That's why I've decided to quit this event. Way too many resources needed. Even if you knew exactly which path to take (after starting again), 30 is still not enough time as it doesnt respond promplty.

 

After game two, I realized just playing for the star coins only, is the least stressful, and cheapest.
And, when I ran out of will and stuff to grow event crops to my liking, I just got stranded. I don't fall for the trap of unwanted real money spending anymore. Harvester, season, and gift and trade. That's it. It's amazing how many of the "new xyz" ends up in the season rewards the immediate season after release of something. A little patience is getting me quite far now. Besides, I ran out of real money too, so they can want me to spend more but until they pay my rent, ...

 

I just finished this HORRID event, got 800 star coins! NO CHANCE of me getting any good timed rewards! A total waste of my time and resources! Good luck everyone...you will need it!

 

Levels: 1,2,3,7,9,10,11 and 13 "in time"...

Some one ask hint to level 20... so, all 5 choises, but then...

Hint number ZERO <---> The easiest thing for your brain and nerves is to FORGET those "time limit prizes"... look up... the first 10 can go and a couple of others, but it's not worth wasting game times!!!

and then the level 20...

1) first LIGHT BLUE one to LEFT DOWN CORNER... that is the place for BLUE ONES...
2) then make steps, so there is only one choise at the time...
3) DARK BROWN ones goes to UPPER ROW and RIGHT CORNER... End situation DARK BROWNS...
4) if You don´t mes, it goes... so, take also 10 boxes from me... aaargh 1!

EDIT: not a little chance "to get there in time" but lvl20 followed in 1st try levels 21,22,23... only 16 boxes left so 8 games... aaargh number 2... EDIT2: then also levels 24, 25,26,27,28,29 and 30 (<<-- that level 30 takes about 7 minutes BUT no backward-moves and IT GOES!!!) in first try...

EDIT3: then 10,5 minutes to level 31, YELLOW ones toRIGHT-LOW... thinking about 8 minutes and make sometime wrong move and throw-back was not so big... have to QUIT... BUT 640 Coins and CR running and then 40x SG is "waiting"... blaah... SO DIFFICULT !

 

Not having much fun with this one, like most of you! Even if I could click fast enough, I keep clicking the wrong macaron because of the bow tying because, instead of picking up the macaron I wanted, I'm clicking where I wanted it to go by the time the bow is tied. Then the wrong macaron is picked up and everything is messed up!

I'll try to finish the cloud row, but definitely not worrying about the other prizes, very few of them are worth the effort.
