Bonus box for the shell - random prizes

I collected my bonus for the shell on the Summer Calendar and when the wonder box (I guess on a similar basis to the wonder trees) turned into a floral tunes, it was a bit of a disappointing let down with 5 x 5000 country coins and no EP. Not really a bonus prize, since CCs are so easy to get and I have over 200 million.

The reason it seems a let down for me, is that another farm got a second prize which is called a light festival, which gives 20 x 750000 EP and a suprise crate. Whilst I understand there might be a random element to the second limited edition, there's a huge disparity in 5x 5000CC - with no EP and 20x 750000 EP plus a crate of goodies.

Not wishing to sound too ungrateful, I realise this was a summer calendar and didn't cost anything, but was there some reason why the prizes had such a vast gulf between them, especially as 20 x 750,000 EP (15million) is considerably more valuable (and not something one can gain by selling a few spare products in the market) to players than 5x 5,000 CC (25thousand).

 

Floral tunes is the best EP giver after using its 5 charges for CCs. Look in the 3rd message, you'll get an idea:

It's almost the same EP but on 1x1 giver instead of the 1x2 for the hamster flytrap. If you don't want to wait the 5 days to collect the CCs, you can already trash it and you'll get the better version of it right away.

Here is the link that shows the potential rewards from the Piccolo Wonder Boxes. Once the charges are used, remove the giver from your field, replace it and it will give you 145 EP/TEP x Farm Level every 21 hours.

just to point out that the link you gave doesn't show the 145EP/TEP for the Floral Tunes after it has lost its 5 charges. That's why I didn't use that specific link to illustrate that. Maybe an update of the link should be done?

 

I'm puzzled, I have no idea about the Hamster flytrap - how does that relate to the light festival. My question was the disparity between total 1. 5millionep plus 20 bonus boxes which contain products or goods over 20 charges for the light festival giver -v- the floral tunes which gives 5000cc per 5 charges.

(edited from first post because my maths went haywire. Though it seems I'm not the only one, since Farmer's Almanac also had a problem with calculations -as 145ep per 21hrs, which would not have been a very good return, should have read 14300 per 21hrs)

I did as you suggested and deleted it and it did turn into a 1x1 floral tunes with 14,355ep per 21hours - and thank you for that - CCs are more of a nuisance than benefit, especially for a player like me who has been playing virtually since the game started - even have the 1st Birthday gift. However, back to my point - which is the disparity in the original giver - no matter what they turn into afterwards.

Nordals, thanks for the response, do you have any idea what the light festival might give once it's depleted its charges - because it seems to me that 1.5 million ep over 20 days plus bonus crates of goods/products is the better of the two givers.

I cannot give you an answer regarding the comparison between the 2 items. The Game Development Team determines what goes into packages, wonder boxes, Crates, etc. Just like any other random feature of the game (such as the farmwheel), there will be prizes that may hold less value than others, but not all prizes can be the top one.

Floral Tunes after is has used its limited charges, will give you 145 EP/TEP x Farm Level so it will continue to improve its output every time you level up

 

Thank you for your response, as always courteous and helpful. I do understand that you cannot do anything about prizes or other technical aspects of the game, and I do not aim any criticism at you or the mods and I do know how hard you all work to keep us informed.

However, perhaps pass on the disappointment that I felt when I saw that my bonus prize was merely 5000CCs as opposed to the other farm's prize of light-tunes which gave 750,000 (not the 75,000 I thought yesterday) - and thus over 20 charges (>20 days) gives 15 million ep and in addition 20 crates of surprise items for the farm. I would also point out that I have not been a regular player for some years, and thus was not aware of piccolo wonder boxes or that they could morph into another giver - and I have not seen them before.

As mentioned I have been a farmerama player almost since the start, and as such I have hundreds of giver items in storage unused (and I can't even count the ones I've put on the bean stalk), so one which gives what is effectively a mid-range ep return isn't going to light up my enthusiasm (probably have some higher than that sitting in limbo. Even with levelling up floral tunes will take years to reach the 15 million mark and thus, I come back to my original point about the huge disparity between the two and why I think maybe the devs could restructure the prizes to be more equal in their value.

Thanks for the tip, I will pass floral tunes onto someone (if it's one of the tradeable items) who will appreciate it more than I.
